That's an extreme opinion. Athletes work just as hard as top students, just at something else. Everyone has their talents and strong suits and they should play to those. It can be unfair at times how much sports are weighted when it comes to scholarships, but those athletes still work hard to get there.

I agree that parenting helps, but, like any other mental issue I think that's just a small part to play. And yes there are plenty of people all around who don't have that "ideal" body shape, but they're not idolized, and I think that's part of why we strive for that prefect body. Well nurses tend to treat things like illnesses and minor injuries because doctors are too busy taking care of the major injuries and the urgent problems.
