OMG ladies this is what I want! I’m about to start dating but I live in the pick me libfem capital (the UK). I’m terrified of accidentally walking into something completely the opposite 🤣

In which is country this so I can avoid it?!😱 I work NHS midwifery (UK) and a man absolutely cannot make demands on what type do repairs he wants.

I’m British and currently on a dating hiatus, and for while now I have considered not dating British born men (However, I don’t mind first generation born British) as I have had the worst experience with them. They tend to be cheap, repressed, passive aggressive, arrogant and have poor hygiene, sorry not sorry. This just solidifies my decision.

I haven’t watched. I saw her vid in trending and was infuriated by that “We’re Pregnant” title! I froth at the mouth with rage when I hear this term (I work in maternity so hear/see a lot of peak pickmeishism and shitty relationships). YOU are pregnant! There is no WE! He put in 1% of the works. Let me find out she foots the bill for anything and does most of the domestic labour 😤

Fellow avoidant here! 100% agree with your post!🤚🏽 I tend to collect intelligence on men, once the negative list starts to get longer than positive list I’m out. And when I’m out, I’m out there’s no coming back. I happily discuss what they did and why I have to leave as being ghosted is not nice. In the past my tolerance was higher for bad behaviour, so the list were longer. Now I have a points system based on my turn ons and turn offs just in case my avoidant attachment style is kicking in to e…

Thanks. I know avoidant attached people have a bad reputation, but I think people need to understand that it can’t be helped. Becoming avoidant attached is not a choice (it’s how we were raised in our first 4-5years of our life and is almost irreversible) or a man thing. Only 25% of population is avoidant and it’s spilt equally between men and women. Also, men of all attachments styles are typically raised to be more selfish or more likely to be encouraged to use women and discard them, so they …

I wish I could carry the first two things, or even carry pepper spray but it’s illegal in UK. Apparently I’m developing my nasty attitude as I had a guy approach me twice once at my front door (he’s a neighbour so it completely threw me off as I usually ignore dusties 🤢) and I kindly replied to him hello and kept it moving, then I saw him again in local area 15mins later. He said something but I didn’t hear what he said in time, before I had a chance to answer he starts yelling about how stuck u…

Great post. I’m overall avoidant but I have been working on becoming a secure adult over that last 5yrs. When I did test in the beginning I was 70% avoidant. Now I am mostly secure. So I guess it’s working (apparently you can’t fully change but can learn technique to be aware of it and soothe it). Despite this I realised my parents did provide me some standards (no children for undeserving men as it is the ultimate trap, marriage is a must and if he stutters about this it you must walk, don’t da…

I haven’t watched the show but I have watched reviews about the show by Dr Kirk Honda. He’s a Family and Marriage Therapist. His channel is called Psychology in Seattle. He’s a therapist who reviews shows and does podcasts on psychology theories and he reviews Marriage at First Sight (US) and is really critical of the therapists style and the panel in general. He said it is not a good representation of what good marriage counselling looks like as it is bias and judgemental.

Don’t take it personally, you could be a ten all round and dudes will try this with you! They are opportunists and will try you. If you gave him a taste and he randomly hits you up, just laugh out loud and block em! Because good chance they are looking for a booty call

Yea I'm not keen on the show. It doesn't really align with good/safe dating practice or the principles. The lack of vetting, not taking time to get to know a potential partner, not leaving their options open (although this could be editing), and falling for someone hard within in a space of short space of time (5 days, and 2 "dates" for one couple!) made me cringe. Essentially, this felt like fast-forwarding which potentially lead someone into being tricked into a relationship or the true nature…

Yes to a union! I am in awe and in love with the Icelandic Women’s strike in 1975. It was for working rights, but 90 per cent of the women also went on strike from housework and childcare. It was only one day, but it brought men to their knees! We need to come together as women to demand better treatment from men and withhold our services. But, since we don’t have that I’m on my own personal sex strike. No man shall enter until my HV demands are met lol

Haha! I just can’t believe that there are men that cheap and bold to do it. And that there are women, not even their girlfriend/fiancée/wife, who would jump to do this!🤣 But, I can’t front like I’ve not had many a pick-me moments in my former misguided days 😭

My God! I’d love for a dude to try this with me! I’d send him “refer a friend” link for Uber so quickly! ETA: missing word added

Yes, I noticed this too. I unfollowed it and the relationship advice one. I’m very much about ensuring my energy/space remains positive and conducive to what I want to get out of life. Just seeing the titles threw my energy off lol

I have the same sentiment after working in women’s health (fertility, antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal research) for the last 6 years. I mainly spent my time working in an impoverished/deprived area. The level of uselessness from the fathers (from all classes and backgrounds) and some the extreme cases of abuse and single mothers come in with their mother and sister as birthing partners woke me the hell up. Also, we do a lot of research on the dark side of pregnancy, so seeing these women ri…
