To add on to the original comment, I have noticed, as someone who used to work in the game industry, that my female colleagues do not tend to want to identify as gamers, even if they are ’ hardcore’ gamers. Alot of them would rather play their fps/ moba in a select group of friends than to have unsatisfying public games. Like sure, you can mute the toxic players. But if the game hinges on communication, then what’s the point of playing? If guys we’re not familiar with ask if we play any games, w…

I say this as a middle-aged illustrator/ ex game artist. It’s not true that artists don’t get girls unless they’re rich and famous. I’ve attended more than a few of my artist friends’ weddings, and they’re far from rich and famous. It’s a job like any other job. Both the stereotypes of a nerdy basement-dwelling virgin comic book artist and a rockstar sculptor with a French accent seducing rich housewives exists in media. Just as there is the boogeyman of a gold-digging clout-chasing tiktoker Sta…

I agree with you that it depends on your partner/s. And with the right people, relationships are not that difficult. I had a similar experience in dating both men and women. But in my case, it didn’t matter which gender. Some people just process trauma in a toxic way. Actually, this reminds me of what one of my lesbian friends told me. She said she is scared to be in a relationship with a bisexual woman because she had the experience of being left for a man and concludes that it’ll be the norm. …

In the tech industry, we’ll joke that such a unicorn must be gay. But in all seriousness, IRL it varies a lot. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I wish there were less debates that boils down to men vs women, and more collaboration to tackle the political and societal problems faced by everyone together. It’s difficult to not be apathetic about the issues another group faces, especially if you think they’re against you and trying to take your autonomy away. I can’t speak for others, but I frequent ppd exactly because I’m not apathetic to the issues of both genders. This colors how I live my life (politically and romantically). And haha, …

What is counted as promiscuous depends on the attitudes of the community. I live in a conservative country so promiscuity is pretty much under wraps, and really only works out if you’re very attractive. Know a few men with high n count who got passed over because they were perceived to be more likely to cheat. For women, it’s usually because the men worry they can’t compete. For either gender, some of them are happily married. In general, the men had a harder time finding a long term relationshi…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
