It’s intent was to garner a reaction from men to highlight the absurdity of restrictions on women. The issue is how this assault has been normalised and often blamed on women’s choices- such as ‘why was she walking alone late?’ ‘Why didn’t she take a cab?’ @ u/TracyMorganFreeman If you are outraged at the above statement and cannot grasp the context that allows it to be so poignant, then it may be worth expanding your worldview by listening to different perspectives.

That’s the point, the police wanted requested for women to avoid walking at night in response to Sarah Everard’s murder and abduction. This is every woman’s nightmare come true, especially when over 90% of women have experienced sexual assault. Many perpetrators get away with it, then escalate their crimes.

If the police said that they recommend black people staying at home due to abductions and street crime, then it wouldn’t be a different scenario if she called for white people to stay at home. I hope this makes sense

Yes, it’s a response to the request from police for women to avoid walking at night with regard to Sarah Everard’s murder

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
