Anxiety has been a big factor for me too. Due to my age, background, and personality I tend to have a semi decent amount of opportunities, but I would always mess them up because I took pretty much any signal as a negative. Cost me several relationships with objectively attractive women because I was to pessimistic and worried I would fuck it up (which I eventually did). IMO that's one of the reasons people shouldn't spend too much time here. Got lucky recently though, let's hope I can keep the …

The guy gets laid idk what to tell you. It’s certainly niche appeal as opposed to something more broad but it works for him. Also it’s more of a getting casual sex kind of thing and not relationships.

Wow, it's almost like we shouldn't be taking complex social dynamics and widdiling them down into oversimplified statements.

IMO they can have an equal effect. I know a guy at my school who's like a 4 at best but get tons of attention from girls cuz he's 6'5. On the inverse a 5'8 dude with an amazing face is also going to get a lot of attention. Not saying you are doing this but people seem to have this belief that the trait the supposed matters the most is the only trait that matters and nothing can make up for it.

As a tall weak person it has not done much for me. You've got to have the frame too (which is certainly easier to build when you're taller because you don't need as much muscle took look impressive), so you should see it more as potential than a huge benefit on it's own.

fact remains the 80/20 rule has more or less been proven by now. There is certainly an imbalance there and any further speculative discussion should be about the exact number. It's definitely not as high as 95/5 or as low as 60/40 in my opinion. We might not ever know the exact number but the imbalance is there.

I wonder if the app used to extract swipe stats took data at random or if the data was provided by specific users. That could skew the results of the study because the types of people that are going to report their data are likely different from the general population of Tinder users.

I see. Sounds like we've got a lot of flawed studies going around. We can get an idea but it sounds like getting the exact stats is gonna be tough. Extrapolating from bad data is give us even inaccurate assumptions. Side note, do other dudes really swipe right on half of girls? Not doubting it but that seems hilariously high.

The one study we have on actual sexually encounters (not swipes) says its 60/20. I could be wrong so feel free to prove me wrong but that's what I remember reading.

The one non OLD study we have on this (OLD studies are flawed due to the heavily male dominated environment where women get to be more choosy) says its around 50-60/20 which is the best thing we have to go on.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
