I had a friend who has been married for 10 years boast that he has never got into an argument with his wife. I was inclined to ask him how it was looking in the bedroom department but I held back for some reason. Maybe, I should have asked.

I have the kids between 2-3 days every weekend..it allows me to work and spend the weekends with them. And also some weekend time for myself to date, hobbies etc.A point of note I pay child support to offset the weekday watch over.

It depends. Sometimes it is just you are not suitred to the concept of marriage and some just ebmnded up with the wrong partner. You need to take a step back and reflect - where do you fall in?

Why did you agree to that? If you query her about the funds expect to be brought down to earth as a non contributor and that she has been the one to keep the family afloat and this will get nasty. You can play it smart, tell how you will want to go back to work- you may get opposed but ignore it. Once you find a job then query her. It's a long term game but you will be on equal footing to any objections. On your Protection its a wider topic of where you see the marriage going. If its a divorce y…

I dont usually jump to the get the divorce bandwagon but I agree with the post. Your wife clearly has "no respect" for you. And once that is gone you will really need to advice yourself.

I could count many instances , but one that sticks out was when she took the wedding pictures from the living room wall and placed it in the storage room.

I have the kids every weekend and it's on a 3-2-3-2 basis which gives me some flexibility during the weekends if I need to do stuff when it's on a 2 day basis.

I remember once my ex wife took our wedding pictures from the living room wall to the basement to send me a message. I knew there and then there was no coming back.

This may be an unpopular opinion but do not divorce your wife whilst pregnant. If you can ride it out do so, until at least she gives birth. Pregnancies can exacerbate a lot of heightened emotions amongst women. However, you will need to set some boundaries in your home. Have a talk with your wife and let her know that what happens in the house stays in the house. You married her and not her mother and family. Do not leave the house as others have suggested.

My Auntie and her ex-husband reconnected after 15 years apart. He left here while pregnant with the third for another woman. She remained single. The other woman who he left my Aunt for left him. My mum believes it was due to some powerful juju at play. I don't know, but they are quite old now in their 60's and quite happy and content with each other.

Physical , emotional, and verbal abuse. Constant gaslightening, and she threatening divorce after any disagreement. I just had enough. The day that I had enough was when I had to get the house groceries. I called from Wal-Mart to verify if she wanted the small pack of meat balls or big. She said big. Knowing her I texted her to confirm to which she did in the text. Only to get home and be berated for getting the big one. I showed her the evidence in the text. She went ballistic and started hitti…

My grandfather passed away a year ago at 97, having been married to my grandmother for more than 65 years. Are the days of getting married, growing old together a thing of the past?

No worries , in two years, you will find her doing one of those weird tik tok videos about being run through by every Chad, Miguel and Tyrone. Then, as she approaches 40, she will cry about hitting the wall and regretting the divorce. This is so deja vu.
/r/Divorce_Men20/07/24 08:02 AM

Well then, as others have suggested, move out. Step 2 will be to for her to admit in writing (through text, whatsapp or email) that you will have limited contact with your child - if you have a phone voice recording (lots of apps available) even better. You can use that as leverage and go the legal route to have more access to your kid in the future. It's time to start keeping receipts.

I've been there, and it sucks. I swore never ever to move into a woman's house ever again after being kicked out once and being threatened to be kicked out. You need to read about the laws of power. Give her three options. 1. If I should contribute to the mortgage, then you will have to add me to the house deed and you automatically become a co-owner. 2. You leave apart until you can both purchase a house you "both own". 3. She sells the house and rents with you.

Mine always come with different gimmicks. Wanted me to get a Costco card so that we share the shopping together. Wanted me to come and babysit the kids in "her house." Wanted me to buy and change her fluorescent lights in the kitchen. Wanted me to buy her a £100 fragrance with my own money because it was her birthday 😆🤣 It's like a guy who cancelled his gym membership but still wants to jump on the threadmill whenever he likes. Go figure.

I can't believe something as innocuous as waffle ended your marriage. Don't mind me - mine was "allegedly" buying oversized meatballs for the pasta dish. I was yelled for 1 hour non-stop. The following day, I moved out.

Counselling is a good step. Live separately for a while - but spend time with each other , perhaps during weekends or off days. You will see if all this is a pretence or not (within 3 months). If you feel the glaring issues are over surely reconciliation should be an option but if not then the inevitable will happen. Which ever route you decide to take, good luck.

Mine definitely did but swore she didn't. We had a dead bedroom for about 6 months due to her lack of sexual desire reasons only to tell me one morning that she has gone to the nearby clinic to get an injectable contraceptive. Go figure 🤔

Couples therapy, when separated, is a great idea when both are committed to working at the core issues surrounding the marriage - thus, why date someone else during the process? She has checked out of the marriage, and the sooner you file and move on, the better.

It did for me. I was a PhD student when we got married, and she was a working nurse professional. The worst part is that I moved into her home. I was emasculated beyond belief for earning far less and threatened to be kicked out after any small disagreement. My advice to any young man thinking of getting married. 1) Be financially stable and earn more 2) Get your own house or have the muscle to pay the full rent.

My ex-wife was leading worship and a deaconess in the church. Values such as forgiveness and sacrifice meant nothing to her. She also felt the concept of submitting to your husband is not biblically sound. The key question is who is a God fearing woman?

"Losing the love of your life and your job at the same time is as bad as you think" I have been there. Hold on. The main focus will be to try and get back to work. Any job for that matter ( temporally) to shift your focus.

My marriage was crap but my divorce was not nasty. I am also a fantasist and a romantic. Seeing my grandparents in their 90s and being married over 60 years gives me some hope that I just married the wrong one. There's a saying, "If you fail and don't succeed...".

I believe when she looked in me in my eye and stated, "I regret the day I married you." I was stunned and could only grit my teeth in silence. Flashbacks were swarming instantly of close family members who warned me that she is not worth it and trouble. I ignored them all ," as I was in love." I pushed through to marry the love of my life to the extent that I was prepared to cut family ties. It was a kick in the teeth.

I moved out (separated) and filed. Told her that as long as the decree nissi has not been issued by the judge there door is still open for reconciliation subject to proper marriage counselling and her sincere admittance that she wants the marriage to work. Her pride stood in the way, we ended up divorced. But having filed it gave me the leverage on proceedings.

I understand him. Was in a similar situation. It's probably one of those hard-core Christian fanatics. If she wants a divorce, grant it. The holier than thou attitude stinks. You may have a weakness when it comes to certain sins , but am sure she is not all righteous either. The bible talks about carrying each others burdens , if she can't carry yours , then it's not worth carrying hers.

Before jumping off the cliff , you may need to take a more diplomatic position here. Pregnancies can take a toll on women - specifically, she may be suffering from pre-natal depression. Try to be supportive and assuring. Buy her flowers with a note -saying she is the best thing since sliced bread with rasberry jam. Send her a romantic text note. Help her at home with chores when she gets back .make or order dinner, watch a Netflix movie. You guys may need to see a professional therapist or a cou…

I am currently going through a divorce with my spouse and she has suggested numerous times that I sleep over at the house after coming to see the kids to which I flatly refused. This because I needed to set boundaries and a precedent. If I have a girl friend can I tell her baby am going over to my ex-wifes place for a the weekend - a ny woman worth her salt will say hell no. Is the ex-hubby in a relationship with someone else. If there answer is no - then your thinking what everyone else is thin…

This is a big issue that needs to be addressed. Friends and sometimes in-laws (My case mother in-law) interfering in marriages. It is even worse, when an unmarried (My wife's maid of honor) or recently divorced friend tells your partner to leave their marriage and be "free".
