Wife’s New Perspective differs from RealityWhat are the most common idiotic reasons in list format on the woman subs and how to avoid finding a good lady who won’t change like the flip of a switch into one of those dumb reasons out of the blue? | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/06/25 05:37 AM
I don't know what to do from here on out.I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. Can you help me to understand why the prenup didn’t work? It’ll help me a lot as I was engaged and going to get married but cancelled because she lied and backed out of a prenup among other trust breaking things like secretly recording me. But I was thinking of gettin married one day to another woman if only to have kids one day and in that event I was hoping a prenup would work and if not then don’t know what to do because want any future kids to gro… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/06/25 04:44 AM

Financially ruined after divorceMy fiancé wouldn’t sign a prenup she said initially she would, ended up asking a lot of money to sign the prenup in case of divorce so I broke up with her before the wedding. I don’t want you to relive the trauma of how financially ruined but might help me avoid the same mistake in the future so if you could give any details of your approx salary, how much you have to pay per month etc it would help me. I want to have kids which is the only reason I’d get married but yeah more I read the more it… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/03/25 09:17 PM
For average looking guys out there who successfully started dating again after divorce was finalized, what strategies worked for you?I’m always in a suit from work. Where do women cluster to hang out at? Need some good ideas. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/01/25 04:47 AM
Wife with past traumaMy ex grew up with both parents being alcoholics since she was a child. When we would visit them out of state for holidays, they were high functioning alcoholics who had great jobs and hid their extreme alcoholism pretty well for years. Turns out it was much more severe, they get drunk every night and although happy at first by the morning hours everyday they are angry drunks. I didn’t know she grew up in this atmosphere but the major red flag I missed is she’s a psychologist. As she said the br… | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/01/25 11:28 AM
My brother in laws divorce settlementI think that may be if you co mingled finances during the marriage and also depends on the state, but a good prenup has a chance to work | /r/Divorce_Men | 09/12/24 04:58 AM
Went overseas to date women... kind of stunned really. Then you haven’t met my ex that did do that for 5 years, but she was a psychologist so very good at manipulating and keeping that mask on. Highly recommend not dating a psychologist for the future fyi as many went into the field for their own traumas. A lesson I learned the hard way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/12/24 02:26 PM
Went overseas to date women... kind of stunned really. What’s the secret to making the relationship with a woman last then? When they’re moody as you say to take their abuse for sticking up they’ll run away? Or is it that after marriage when they get the toy as you say and their mask falls off being stuck with a demon? Happy to hear your thoughts on what actually we should do to not only make a relationship with a woman last but also be mostly happy in it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/12/24 02:21 PM
Do you think my case is not thard?!Honestly if the roles were reversed and you made a lot more and wanted seperate property and not be used for your wealth I think we’d be saying the opposite. I’m actually on her side on seperate accounts so it’s not community property and the higher income earner often men don’t get used and she is throwing in to pay for more of the house so is being generous | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/10/24 04:56 AM
Is perpetual alimony a thing? If so, is it likely for marriages under 10 years with no kids? How long has your alimony payment been?More details please to help others avoid future permanent alimony in FL. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/05/24 04:12 AM
Ex wife circles back 5 years later.Exactly this comment above, it’s all about money for her. Many times women are for the money, disregarding the long marriage, kids best financial interest etc. The 5 years later lining up with alimony expiring is no coincidence. She’s toxic. Stay away from her manipulation. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/05/24 03:02 PM
If she wants to take half of his hard earned income, what’s his motivation not to let it all burn in attorney fees? Asking for a friend.Wow, amazing. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/04/24 12:51 PM
FEAR...What motivates women? Money because they biologically want a provider? | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/04/24 11:01 PM
Terminate Alimony Pendente Lite for intentionally delaying the divorce process?Damn so sorry to hear that and thanks for information to help other men | /r/Divorce_Men | 21/04/24 09:20 PM
Terminate Alimony Pendente Lite for intentionally delaying the divorce process?Sorry to hear you had to go through that. I’m also a high income earner but want kids so trying to limit risk with a marriage to though. Out of curiosity so I know how much I could be liable for in the future, how much is your estimated income and was she a stay at home wife? How much in alimony are you paying each month for 8ish years? | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/04/24 03:39 PM
Anyone is staying single permanently?I agree with this but only problem is most women eventually won’t agree to this in a LTR. They will want to live together and get married. That’s the problem. So how do you get a nice LTR without cohabitating, commingling financial assets and not getting married if almost all women that could be a catch want this? Also, I don’t have any children. I kinda want children so then how does a woman agree to have children with you and be a great mom but not get married? | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/04/24 11:48 PM

The light switch affect..My ex also had major mental illness I learned way too late and did the light switch at the end. I’ve now realized she didn’t switch but this was a part of her she hid really well. Super cold and manipulative, to do whatever she can for her own selfishness and financial gain. For it’s worth, your story helped me connect with someone else that’s gone through it and further solidify people can act of be insane. In a brighter note, we’re both away from exes and eventually finances can come back, hap… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/02/24 11:26 AM
Broken and confusedWhy do they do the switch up or the “light-switch” effect? And I don’t think it’s as simple as they made the decision long ago and you only just found out about it. I think it’s more they’re much more cold, calculated despite seeming to be emotional to manipulate us to cater to them. Maybe it’s something in their protective biology to put up such a cold shield. | /r/Divorce_Men | 31/01/24 05:50 AM
Divorce and my big AHA! momentHow then to avoid this fate the next time? People say get a prenup but that’s not completely effective but could help I hear, others say don’t get married but most women don’t want that so being alone isn’t great especially if you want kids so there doesn’t seem to be a great solution…. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/12/23 06:00 PM
Anybody else having first year post divorce seasonal depression? What can be done about it?I’m also thinking about going to the casino by myself- if you’re in TX and going to OK casinos we should meet up there lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/11/23 04:14 PM
Anybody else having first year post divorce seasonal depression? What can be done about it?I can relate. Her extended family was amazing and we spent the holidays out of state always there for thanksgiving and Christmas. My family doesn’t celebrate either holiday. So it’s even more lonely than ever before. Last Christmas is when we started to seperate, my Tesla ran out of charge and I was snowed in alone whereas we’d usually all celebrate out of state in a huge party with all her family, food, gifts and drinks. Not looking forward to this thanksgiving and Christmas alone again. No chi… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/11/23 01:37 AM

What was your turning point?Wow this hit right on. “When you wake up…all those things happened - unbelievable someone can behave such a way, depressed, angry then laughter for dodging the bullet.” | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/10/23 01:34 AM

Narc creating confusionYou did the right thing. I found out (later) my ex secretly recorded me. I don’t think I said anything to get me in any trouble during one of our most intense conversations. In my state, recording without consent especially in a public coffee shop is legal so she was deceiving yet intelligent about where and how she recorded me. This behavior though is a huge violation of trust and shows she’s willing to go to extremes to trap us so be really careful. You’re at war. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/08/23 11:25 AM
Financial and mental preperation for future divorce.Get a post nup or depending on the state a legal separation asap. Either way, talk to a family lawyer about each next week. When there’s a huge income difference then you got to protect yourself especially when you’re seeing red flags so early in the marriage (I also had the same with fiance, made about 5-8 times more than her depending on the year). If she doesn’t agree to either, yet another huge red flag she may be using you for the money which is sad to face but some women can be highly mani… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/08/23 11:20 AM
Narc creating confusionBe careful. If she is a narc and giving those speeches, she might be testing your response and recording you to try to establish a better (albeit false) case against you. Watch whatever you say in response and act like all conversations can be used against you via to be on the safe side. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/08/23 11:14 AM
Prenup signed under "duress"Agree with all of this. Giving up millions won’t make you feel better about the divorce and it’ll probably be a nasty divorce either way. Millions and a hard earned business over all these years are worth fighting for. With the millions, you could do so much more than just giving it away to a mid life crisis nasty ex. Could put the millions both in a trust for your kids and even donate some of it to a good cause (orphans, water wells, poverty, etc). No matter what you decide, talk to a good lawy… | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/08/23 11:08 AM
Carrying OnThanks for reviewing my story and your thoughts on it. Just kinda wild the 2 totally different personality’s she showed. Will look into covert narcissist. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/08/23 01:56 PM
Carrying OnThis post resonated a lot with me. I’m sorry to hear what you’re going through. If it’s the smallest amount of help, I want you to know your post helped me realize I dodged a bullet. Broke up with my fiancé right before our wedding because the mask finally came down and she showed she was just in it for “what I provided too” and surprisingly didn’t love me despite saying so all the time. I make 5-8 times what she does, but I didn’t think she was in it for the money because was never a big shoppe… | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/08/23 12:39 AM

It’s crazy howGoogle light switch effect that women can have. My fiancée did the same thing. Went from super nice of I thought she was to her true colors of being ice cold and trying to get every penny she incorrectly thought she was entitled to. | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/06/23 03:55 AM
Feeling beaten and hopeless.my ex fiancé that I broke up with was partly because she wouldn’t sign a prenup. So out of curiosity of how much I could’ve saved, what was the salary difference approx between you and your ex wife? | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/06/23 05:37 PM
Do you believe a single woman in her 30’s and above is a Red Flag?Love this comment. | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/04/23 02:21 AM
