How do you start a convo? Cold DMs? Story replies? Here's what helped me turn DMs into conversation: Story The Opener Stories are great to initiate a convo because they're low-pressure and provides you with context to talk about. But "cool" or "cute" kills it. Don't simp and don't bore her. Focus on her vibe or a specific detail to make her think "wait, he sees more than just me" Aim for playful, confident, and a little unpredictable. Here's a quick 4-style framework + real examples I used: Play…

First make sure you have a good looking profile: - High-quality pics - Lifestyle content - Low following-to-follow ratio. And you're right, don't be one of those guys that just send cringe pick-up lines or lame DMs. If she's even slightly attractive she's used to get shitload of attention so you have to stand out. Reply to stories (highest response-rate by far) The goal is to start a convo naturally and replying to an IG story is a great way to do so. And when you reference something specific fr…

Calibration matters. For shy or more introvert girls, this wouldn't be my approach... but for the Instagram girls that are used to a lot of attention you have to stand out. This has worked for me. And believe me, I've tried a lot of different things.

And I tried as much as possible to mimic my own writing style. And this is exactly what I reply with to IG stories. No simping or compliments < Playful, confident, cocky (not arrogant), and subtly challenging. And to be honest, these lines are much better than the generic cringe AI pick-up lines I've seen guys using. The reason why these work is because it's unique to their IG story. As long as you stand out in a positive way, you'll get them to reply. The whole idea is to use it as an opener so…

I do this with Instagram. Often women put their IG handle in their Tinder, Bumble, Hinge bio. I give her a follow and once she follows back it's a sign of subtle interest. I wait a couple of days to not come off as needy before I casually reply to her story to start a convo. This strategy has worked well for me.

Instagram can definitely be a game changer if you play it right. To win, you must become the man women want to follow. Your profile should show: - Lifestyle - Masculine energy - Curated content - Social proof (friends, subtle feminine presence) You're already thinking in the right direction with creating story highlights for you hobbies. In addition to that: - clean well-lit profile pic where your face is clearly visible. - short bio that doesn't sound try hard. Witty and mysterious. - high-qual…

Once replies, it means she's curious. Rule #1: never go serious or logical yet. Keep it playful and flirty for the next couple messages. For example: You: "You know what they say about girls who look good in gym pics right?" She: "What??" You: "They're are usually boring in person ;) change my mind this week?

Girls are following you so I assume you already have a decent profile. (The foundation) When it comes to DMing, I never send cold DMs because it comes off as needy and thirsty. It gets you ghosted… My advice is to go with story replies which is a low-pressure and natural way of starting a convo. Plus can you have context, the photo, to work with. Not sure if you’re interested in this, but I created a chatbot in WhatsApp that mimics my style of texting. Provoke, teaser, misinterpretations, and banter. I use it for DMing girls on insta. if you go to the "explore page" on IG you can search for a place and check out the girls that tagged themselves.
/r/seduction08/11/25 11:01 AM
2

sure! If it works. But from my experience, especially attractive girls with big following, it's quite hard to stand out with a DM opener like that. They get 50/100s of DMs like that. That's why I always go for the IG story opener, it's more personal and shows recognition.
/r/seduction08/11/25 11:00 AM
2

Go to "places" on the explore page. Search for popular spots women love to visit. Anywhere women post content. For example: - restaurants - rooftops - lounges - gyms Tap location & go to "recent" tab. That's were real people tag themselves. It's a live feed of women who where just there.

Actually I switch around with both. Although I know it's better to have a public profile if you want more reach, I prefer to have a private profile (personal reasons). So when I follow a couple of girls, I usually leave it public for a couple of days to increase the chances of a follow back. After a few days I'd switch it back to private.

Around 10-15 over the past 6 months. Maybe important to note, I do live in a big city.
/r/seduction08/11/25 10:53 AM
2

Don't know the exact numbers, but I had definitely had over 10-15 dates just through Instagram. To give an example: I would follow some girls who liked IG posts from a party I went to. Then I'd pretend it's coincidence that they went to the same party as me and start a convo from there.
/r/seduction08/11/25 10:52 AM
2

In some sense its equivalent, but on the dating apps you're relying on the algorithm to show you the right profiles. On instagram I can easily find/connect with girls who go to similar places as I do. And you can somewhat avoid the competition. For example, I got follow backs from girls who I didnt match on Tinder.
/r/seduction07/11/25 09:09 PM
6

yea a clean curated profile is kind of necessary. You don't need a big following tho. What do you mean with an online cold approach?
/r/seduction07/11/25 08:47 PM
2

With cold DM I mean sending her a DM straight away without context. I've got better results replying to stories than sending her a random DM. If she doesn't follow back then I just unfollow after a few days. It's a numbers game, similar to cold approach in RL. That's why it's so important to have a decent IG profile. A clean, good quality profile pic, a feed showing off your lifestyle, hobbies, and social life are crucial if you want to succeed.
/r/seduction07/11/25 08:44 PM

I usually start with following her (a follow-back is a subtle sign of interest). One rule that I have is that I don’t DM immediately, I wait a couple of days to avoid coming off as needy. And I rarely cold DM. I almost always start the conversation by replying to one of her IG stories. It’s low-pressure and lets you show interest in a playful, natural way. For example: She posts a pic of a healthy breakfast. My reply: "I would ruin that with croissants ;)" It works because it’s observant, light,…

I’m a big fan of cold approaches (trying to do more if it). Nothing beats that rush. Even just making small talk in line somewhere builds way more chemistry than talking over DMs. What you said about the “fan club” is spot on. Most guys don’t realize that reacting like a fan just puts them in the same bucket as every other simp on her IG. When it comes to standing out in her IG DMs, you have to hook her. I always reply with either a playful tease, provocative challenge, or banter depending on th…

I never said to not be intentional and respectful. The “be complimentary” approach only works if she’s already attracted or curious about you. I'm not saying it doesn't work at all, but for girls who get constant attention, validation loses its value fast. What actually triggers interest is emotion, contrast, curiosity, and playful challenge. That’s why light teasing or confident observations work: they stand out from what she sees a hundred times a day. It’s not about being a jerk; it’s about s…

I get you. If someone used that line in the wrong tone or context yeah it could come off as rude or insensitive. What I was getting at though isn’t the literal words, it’s the dynamic behind them. The idea is to be playfully disqualifying, not insulting. You’re showing that you’re not trying to impress her or win her approval which subtly flips the frame. Of course, delivery is everything. If your tone is dry, teasing, and paired with a smile or a funny emoji, it comes off as light banter. But i…

Thanks! And I agree, if you’re getting responses with that, it’s a good filter for interest. From my experience though, that usually only works with girls who already have some interest or smaller followings. Once you’re dealing with girls who get hundreds of likes and story replies daily, the 😍 just blends in with all the other replies she gets. So yeah, depending how you play the game, if you're pursuing the low hanging fruit it definitely saves a lot of energy. But if you go after the girls t…

what do you reply to stories? It's important that your reply stands out. As OP mentioned before, attractive girls get bombarded with messages of guys trying to get het attention. Believe me she's seen it all. She is not intrigued by another "you look cute in this pic" or heart eyes emoji. In my opinion story replies are way better than cold DMing because you can show genuine interest, eye for detail, and recognision if you send the right reply.

From my experience, the key is to stop thinking of it as “escalation” and start thinking of it as building momentum. The first replies should always feel low pressure, something that teases, provokes, hooks her emotion, or throws her off a bit instead of trying to push things forward too fast. If she’s already replying, you’ve got interest, and your lines work so I think you're doing fine! I would just focus on gradually moving things to WhatsApp to make it more personal and easier to close. Thi…

I've been doing cold approaches for a while and since you're into this I thought I share this idea with you. I think AI can give you some directions but you shouldn't copy the messages 1 on 1. It can be great to learn from but you have to rewrite the messages for your own use. Lately, I have been experimenting with voice recording my cold approaches. And I even built a small tool that records from my phone and gives feedback (AI + my own knowledge) on things like missed escalation windows, teasing moments, and it lays out the convo timeline with key highlights. If that sounds interesting, feel free to …

Bro, you're already ahead of most guys just by taking action. If you're dealing with approach anxiety, take it step by step. Don’t try to sprint from the start, just build up slowly. Here is what helped me: Start by saying “good morning” to people on the street. Then ask strangers for directions, something simple like “Where’s the nearest supermarket?” Give casual compliments like “Nice sneakers,” then keep walking. Once that feels normal, try complimenting and staying to chat a bit. By then, yo…

Tone of voice, momentum shift, subtle hints from girls, all things I never noticed in the moment. That’s actually what led me to start building a tool specifically for this. I record using voice memo to give me feedback on things like talking ratio, missed signals, escalation timing, and overall flirting/teasing. To be honest, I just started experimenting with thi…

Sounds cool! I'm actually doing something similar by building a tool that gives feedback on cold approaches and dates. Many underestimate "field reports and reflection". I recently started to voice record my approaches and part of dates to not miss a thing which lead to a better reflection of my convos. I even started building a tool around this to analyze my audio and give me feedback on high moments of interest, flirting, and missed escalation windows. If you're also into this, hit me up in DM and I can send what I've made so far.

Of course you can never hit a 100% success rate. That's exactly my point, review your interactions and improve on things you can do better next time. Instead of writing it all out I started experimenting with voice memos. I'm actually building a little tool around this idea to give me feedback on flirting, high moments of interest, and missed escalation windows, etc. Not to make it more robotic, but rather understanding what I could have done differently to make it flow better.

That’s a great mindset shift. Took me a while to stop treating every interaction like a pass/fail test. Now I'm just reflecting on convos to improve my game where possible. Not looking for perfection but rather learning from past mistakes.

Agree. Self-reflection is one of the most underrated tools for improvement. Curious to know what adjustments did you make? I've been experimenting with recording voice notes lately to be able to just listen back to the entire convo.

I agree! It takes a lot of reps and practice. Confidence is built from within and not from theory books. I am not saying you should rely on AI at all, but combined with your own knowledge of game & seduction it can be very helpful to recognize signals that you would otherwise have missed. And just make the process quicker, instead of analyzing situations in your head or on paper. For example, where did she loose interest in the conversation and what could you have done differently to keep it flo…

Sounds like it would be good to improve your social skills. Do you have an active social life where you interact with women? Cold read statements or misreads are always doing well to start a conversation. For example, "you look like the girl who goes to bed at 9pm on a Saturday night to go to the gym at 7 in the morning". Add a little tease to make it playful and you can carry the conversation from there with follow-up questions. I’m actually building something, super early, but the idea is basi…

We've all been there, kudos for realizing this early and wanting to improve. Most guys stay stuck in the same patterns for years without even knowing what they’re doing wrong. So you're already ahead. Here’s what worked for me when I started out: Cold approach practice: Bars, casual events, or even coffee shops are great because the energy is more social. I see you. To be honest I think the chances of her finding out are low, if you're holding your phone, recording a voice memo in the background, and deleting the audio later. I see pick-up artists do this all the time on YouTube and IG.
/r/seduction21/07/25 03:30 PM

I totally agree with you, but I try to be as discrete as possible. Just recording a voice memo with your phone for self-improvement for personal use only. Pick-up artists on YT and IG share these videos all the time, even though they blur out faces it can still be considered unethical too.

I’ve been there, man. Honestly, most guys feel this way at some point especially when you worked on your looks but still freeze up when it’s time to approach. One thing that helped me: take the pressure off the outcome. Don’t think “I have to get her number” think “I just want to say one sentence and leave.” For example, "I love your sneakers" and walk away. You can stack those wins over time and the anxiety fades. Also, reflecting after interactions changed the game for me. I started writing do…

I'm not saying good looking guys such at conversation, but from my experience I've seen more average looking guys be better at game. I have good looking friends and they always think they won't need to be great at having convo's because they have the looks. Whereas average looking guys have to compete and therefore be better at game and convo's.
/r/seduction17/07/25 08:40 PM

Being good at conversation is so much more important than looks. I’ve noticed that 90% of the time, dates or cold approached go south not because of looks, but because the vibe died or the convo felt like an interview. Trust me, I have seen stunning girls turning down "model" guys for average looking "players". What helped me was actually reviewing my dates afterward. Sounds nerdy, but when you look back, you notice things you miss in the moment, like when you could have added some spice or teas…

Yea this approach works well for me, but it took time to figure out. And you’re right, at the end of the day, it’s about genuine interest and connection, not just running through steps. To answer your question: I mix it up. I start playful (man-to-woman vibe), then sprinkle in deeper questions once there’s attraction. Too much “job interview energy” kills the vibe, but too much joking and no depth makes her think you’re not serious. That’s why I started doing field reports and now building this …

Good question. Honestly, the biggest improvement was awareness. When I started writing field reports, I realized patterns: I was not building tension, missing the right moment to tease, or waiting too long to escalate. Once you see that, it changes how you show up on the next date. Even small tweaks like asking better questions or creating tension earlier, understanding subtle double-meaning hints from girls, where to inject push/pull techniques, etc made a noticeable difference for me. That’s w…

Exactly! So how do you reflect or review your dates?

Absolutely agree that AI can’t replace real-world experience or an experienced eye. But I do think it can be a useful tool between dates to review, reflect, and sharpen awareness. I’m building it more like a smart mirror than a guru. Just something to help me notice patterns I might miss when I’m in the moment.

It depends what your goal is. Do you want to get laid on the first date or you want to date with the intention to seek a relationship? Personally I would say a successful that will come down to this: - Maintain strong eye contact - Talk slowly (confident) - Sincere tone - Talk to her like you already know here Then my dates usually follow this type of flow: First contant: hug + verbal intent (btw, you look ute tonight) break the touch barrier Positioning (next to her) + switch between multiple l…

100% get where you’re coming from. And I agree, connection is the goal. This isn’t about running some spreadsheets on people or over-optimizing every word. It’s more like reviewing your own side of the interaction. For example, did you lead? Did you listen? Did you kill the vibe by over-talking? Most of us forget the details by the time we’re home. It’s not about data over connection. It’s about reflection to improve connection thus your dates. Appreciate the pushback though 🙏

That’s awesome! I’ve been doing the same. Just writing down the flow of the date already gives so much clarity on where to improve next time. I actually got to the point where I thought: “What if I could just record it like a voice memo and have AI give me feedback on the vibe, pacing, when I missed the moment to tease or flirt?” That’s what I’m building for me right now. It’s still super early, but if you’re into experimenting with something like that, happy to send it over when I have the firs…

Exactly this! Most people don’t realize that deliberate practice (with feedback) is how you actually get better at anything, dating included. If you’re curious to check out the tool that I’m working on or want to be an early tester, I’d love to send it over when it’s ready.

Totally hear you and I agree obsessing over every little thing can be a trap. But the idea behind this isn’t to nitpick yourself into insecurity. It’s to improve awareness on things like: – Did I talk too much (or too high-pitched)? – Did I miss a clear moment to tease or lead? – Was I matching her energy, or staying too neutral? - What was a right moment to inject some push/pull techniques - Was she chasing me in this moment and I didn't realise? It’s not about “performing” or pleasing her, it’…

Fair enough and I get the concern. The intention is to just have a private voice memo on my own phone like journaling. I only use it to review and improve my own game.

Totally! I have done written field reports too, especially when starting out. But I realized I was still missing stuff in the moment: tone, pacing, missed cues. That’s why I started using audio to listen back what I could do better.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
