3	Are there any successful authors here? Pick up Scene & Structure (Elements of Fiction Writing) by Jack M. Bickham. That book will teach you how to structure your novel, and how to make it engaging to the reader, by keeping your pacing tight and properly dramatic. In my opinion, a solid grasp of structure is the single most important element to writing a novel there is. You can go nowhere else without solid structure. Great characterization? Strong themes?
