The best I've been treated by a man is by one who believes in the same "misogyny" I do. I want to help other women if I can! The ideas that I used to have were harmful and led me into unsatisfying relationships. There are a lot of reasons for that, the lack of boundaries when it came to sex and lust being the reason I started this conversation. But it's all connected. I felt like I was living in a misogynist hell with the expectations men have surrounding sex nowadays. I made a lot of my bad dec…

I wish people would realize how much happier they'd be if they obeyed God and trusted in his plan and his grace... But y'all are gonna do whatever you wanna do. I want more people to follow God, he made Women and Men with slightly different roles in marriage and the Church but one isn't less than the other.

The atheist hypocrisy of you insulting my views but getting upset that I speak out against sin is hilarious. We both have views that makes the others skin crawl and I think that life is a living hell when you're separate from God. We both got our convictions

I was trying to make a secular application too... I've talked a lot about my own convictions but I understand why non-religious women would hate porn as well. When I typed the message I was hesitant about it but I thought it was a helpful question to pose.

I had a genuine question, you didn't. It's vulgar either way but I think it's okay for the sake of discussion. And no, the Bible commands women to obey their husbands so I'm not trolling about that. If you're married to a man you trust and who cares about you, there's nothing to fear about letting him have the final say in decisions. God commands women to obey their husbands but he also commands men to be loving. There is a lot of responsibility in being a leader. Of course, this is only require…

I've never seen the show and there's no need to be vulgar. I was mostly trolling with that last message, I don't think the past was perfect. I just believe God's word doesn't change even as society does so if it makes me old-fashioned I can live with that. I will obey my husband when I'm married, as I've been called to do. But I don't think it should be forced on anyone, you have to have free will

Being a Christian is worthless if you don't actually obey God. What are Christians supposed to do, say that lust isn't a sin anymore? The Church decreasing in number is unfortunate but if you read the Bible, it is strict about what you should or shouldn't do. Watering it down and cherry picking to make more people happy isn't going to help anyone.

Disagreeing with porn obviously means that I don't think you should watch it. Why would I want anyone to watch something that I think is wrong and harmful? I'm not twisting anyone's arm saying we should ban it. You can watch porn if you want, that's your choice. But you're the OP of this stupid post who thinks that it's wrong to expect a man youre romantically involved with not to watch porn. It's a common theme in the world I've been noticing... I've been told it's controlling not to want a man…

I'm not saying we should have laws banning pornography or premarital sex. Surely you have ideas about morality and what isn't okay in a relationship.

How are you any better telling Christian women we aren't allowed to disagree with pornography, by the way?? All people do nowadays is tell us that we have to accept immorality and that it's "abusive" to have expectations in a relationship. Of course, women should be fair and let the man have expectations as well.

You can do what you want, you have free will. But yes, if I'm a Christian obviously I'm gonna have ideas about how you should live and expect to marry someone who feels the same.

If it ain't broke don't fix it. Those attitudes worked for our ancestors for thousands of years

Also, do you need porn to masturbate? You can't imagine your partner or take videos of them? I'd be okay with that

Girlfriends and boyfriends shouldn't be having sex anyways. But when you're married, you should be having sex frequently. Wives should be happy to help their husbands out. I don't see it as abusive but I'm Christian so it's not like these are my rules, I want to be with someone who's trying to follow God's rules too!

I mean, I'm Christian so my partner should feel the same way about the "shoulds" when it comes to God's word. Wives should obey their husbands, husbands should be understanding if she is ill or injured but otherwise you should be having sex frequently. I do think that sex is an important part of a marriage for sure!

As long as she's holding herself to the same standard, I don't see why setting boundaries is wrong. Men should be allowed to do the same, too. People are way too free with their sexuality nowadays, you shouldn't be looking at other naked men/women while you're in a relationship

Women who prefer them smaller are the ones afraid to say anything because everyone accuses us of lying. There comes a point where sex starts to become uncomfortable and 7 inches is where I reach that point. We're all different down there.

It makes no difference to me whether you believe me or not. But I've already dated short men. I'm a short woman so it makes no sense to care about it when all the short men are at least my height.

If you consider 120 pounds overweight, sure. Because I'd go for half of them.

18 is the age we consider people mature enough to make their own decisions and have a responsibility for themself. Makes sense for 18 to be the age of consent too. You can work full-time, live on your own, learn to take care of yourself. Not every young adult does all of this immediately but generally your life changes a lot after high school, I think. I think it'd be a weird dynamic to date someone still in high school while you're an adult, unless you're close in age

How so? Before feminism, women had way fewer options for education and employment than men did. And women were expected to be obedient to their husband if married, he made the decisions. I'm aware that the past was terrible for most men as well but I don't see how you can argue that men didn't have more rights than women did. Edit: I wanted to add that the one right I believe women had over men was that we didn't fight in wars (although we weren't allowed to even if we wanted to, we'd have had t…

It makes more sense for anyone who wants to advocate for equal gender rights to consider themselves egalitarian. Calling it "feminism" made sense when women had less rights than men did but we don't live in that world any more. I did consider myself a feminist in the past, though. Maybe I'd still be one if they'd been for real equality to begin with.

Some men lie about their height or dick size. And it's easy for them to do so, I wouldn't know the difference if a man was 5'10" and said he was 6'. I think that might raise the standard if women think that 6' looks different than it actually does. But I don't know if that has any impact on it, it was just a thought I had. I think it's ridiculous to have such a strict rule about height anyway

Wouldn't being in a relationship for a year have the same effect, then? You tend to have more sex in a relationship than you do when you're single and having casual sex. If men thought their girlfriends vagina was destroyed after a year of being sexually active than I think that would be a problem. Some of us were born with outies if that's what the subway roast beef comment refers to.

How are we supposed to refuse sexual assault... sexual assault is non-consensual and men can typically overpower us... I agree that our careers and body image are within our control though

Wouldn't they have talked to you about all that anyway? There isn't much that I tell my friends that I wouldn't probably repeat to my boyfriends

Were they clingy? I could see that being an issue but some people enjoy solitude and I don't think it's an issue if they only socialize with you as long as they're comfortable being alone and letting you have a life outside them

They're bored enough that they still feel the need to have more. If I'm not enough for him than he isn't interested enough

Why? Some people struggle with socializing and being introverted. I have a few friends but I don't see them often or feel like I have a social circle, I wouldn't mind meeting a guy who was the same

You don't have the right to tell people they aren't allowed to talk to you, either. You have the right to tell him to fuck off, but he has the right to approach you

It would take thirty seconds to tell him such. Someone trying to talk to you isn't a problem unless they are overly persistent after you've said you aren't interested. Ultimately it doesn't matter what you like because some women would like it, he only has to find one who would. I would love to be asked out while going about my day, I'm not particularly social so I never meet men otherwise

Believe me, men don't give me much attention if I don't go looking for it. I know some of them think I'm pretty but they don't go out of their way to talk to me very often. I don't go to bars lately though and I know I'd do better if I did. I would be afraid to go alone. Even when I did go, I wasn't always hit on. But I'm socially awkward and think it hinders me, maybe I don't seem interested. I've been catcalled maybe 3 times in my life. I've always wondered if I'm ugly or plain due to it (not …

Some of us don't have guys making advances very often. You can go years alone with the "just exist" strategy
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/21 09:07 AM

Most women aren't only concerned about looks but even if that were true, the point is not moot because women are getting to choose nowadays. It doesn't matter what women (and men!) choose to do when it comes to dating as long as we are getting to choose. If women still overwhelmingly cared most about money I would not find it coercive because it's a free market now. In the past it only was because of the way society was set up. That was my only point. There's nothing making women go for looks no…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 12:37 AM

Women rarely date solely for sexual attraction or solely for money, by the way. A relationship is a lot more than sex and sharing finances - you'll be spending your life together (hopefully!) so it matters that you love who they are as a person as well. That's what makes a relationship "real" in my opinion (although I don't judge the reasons why anyone gets into a relationship, I don't care). I think it's good that nowadays women are allowed to care about sexual attraction, and we do. But there'…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 12:29 AM

Dating for money isn't less real than dating for pure sexual attraction. But women should not feel as though they have to date men. Nor should men feel as though they have to date women. That was the problem in the past. Nobody is being coerced into dating nowadays - you get to choose whether you prefer money, looks, personality, a combination, or you choose not to date at all. Women were pushed to care more about money in the past because they weren't allowed the same opportunities economically…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 12:18 AM

Nobody is saying that women are being coerced to date for money in this century. That was only true when we had limited opportunities to support ourselves.
