I'm not trying to sound pretentious or full of myself but is it really like that to such an extreme in the tech field? There are some beautiful women I work with (in retail) and I'm relatively successful with girls, so I never kiss their asses and regularly tell them how it is and it seems to throw them off balance, even though there are some other decent looking males that work with us also. So my choices are go to bamboo and meet a bunch of spray tanned entitled bimbos who smell of suntan lotion and rum and drove there in the 2011 BMW daddy bought them or go to riggers and meet some 50 year old bar hags that smell like ciggarettes, have a deeper voice than I do, have the same complexion as a catchers mitt, and have sun bled green leg tattoos? The part about what your daughter needs really stuck out at me. She may be mad at you if you don't let her go live with mommy because mommy spoils the crap out of her with things she wants like freedom and ice-cream and not having to make her bed, but unfortunately anything a pre-teen wants is probably bad for them and their future. It comes with the age. Find a lawyer in your price range and fight this, I'm rooting for you.
