Cheating? Shes your exwife

Suggest to her to each take a twin, and switch them every month. While this is a bad idea in so many ways, it will effectively make her head spin. Goal achieved to make her think deep and realize that her decision is not that easy.. and is way more complex. This puts you at an advantage, imo

I agree with you. I just wanted to point out a commom misconception around what an introvert is.
/r/Divorce_Men02/02/26 03:35 PM
2

Being an introvert doesnt mean you cant talk to people. Being an introvert means where to you get your energy from, being around others or time alone. The introverted social characteristic is that people who are introverts may get exhausted from social gatherings and favor or gravitate to being alone. Extroverts will gravitate to socialize. Being home alone will be exhausting and they thirst connection from others. Personality can be a spectrum, just like anything else.

What is it that ruins a woman for you about being married?
/r/Divorce_Men25/11/25 06:31 AM

Imo its just a piece of paper. Im not sure your age, but younger adults have high body counts compared to when i was younger (app culture) some college body counts are averaging in the 50+ now days. Having a divorcee could cut down the number of previous partners if that is something that bothers you.

You should create a hotline and a joint credit card to make transfer of money less stressful. Definitely stay friends; you never know, it's a great opportunity if you ever get back together. /s
/r/Divorce_Men01/05/25 05:59 PM

Exactly! The longer you dont get alimony or retirement, you are missing out on compounding interest. If for some opportunity you could get more cash than what retirement cut is worth, i would go for that.. stock market is down ... you may be able to buy stocks with the cash and get more value.

Who knows.. i think its mostly just torchuring his ex, so that they miss the deadline, and have to pay the lawyer and service more money and effort. (His explanation, even says he would prevail in court) rent goes up, she comes after him. He has a prenup that protected his assets, but exwife support aka child support cant be avoided. Its not a criminal trial.

I work next to a playground and know fellow divorced friends with kids and brutal custody battles. (I had to help a good friend out this week ducking being served papers by the sheriff in efforts to drag him back to court to squeeze more money from him) I can say that walking by that playground, makes me happy I dont have kids.

Exactly.. get the MSA ( Marriage settlement agreement ) drafted, and lawyer reviewed for notary and get her to sign asap!! have your plan B carrot ready, in case she waffles..

be sure you hire an escort/stripper to serve her divorce papers. First impressions!!
/r/Divorce_Men22/04/25 01:50 AM

She sounds like her getting the D will cloud her mind...draft up a marriage settlement agreement to leave with own personal belongings, no 5050 on the house or stuff. Get 5050 with kids and a agreed follow up arrangement 2 years out. Offer a carrot of cash or something small to get her to sign. Of course.. the MSA notorized and reviewed by an attorney to be binding and not challenged at a later date. If she wants out.. make the door out easy

"Play dumb for a bit, get her to confess?" NO... Texas is a no fault State.. blindside her with divorce with zero explanation. Don't bring up why. Silence. Hold your cards close and give her no clue.

Im talking about pension, not alimony... but i guess when you think about it.. its money paid to her and money lost for me. same same.
/r/Divorce_Men02/11/24 05:53 PM

Im talking about an actual prenuptual that is drawn up and signed by both parties.

I live in a no fault state, and was cheated on.. divorced. Now she gets a pension for life as if she had my job for the vested 5 years. All i can say is, I believe that they should make a law that requires a legal pre-nup in order to recieve a marriage license.

After my divorce I got a girlfriend (and have been with her almost as long as my ex-wife) My current GF wants to get married. She has never married before. She feels like it's unfair that I am "jaded".. but honestly I haven't found any benefit to being married. We have no kids or planning on it; too old for that. She asked, what in the world would make you remarry. I said, I might if the woman was a billionaire or heiress to some fortune...but that's about it.

In my case the only thing fleeced was my public retirement pension. We had a marriage settlement agreement, and there are hurdles in place that she would have to sign away her community property away for the pension, but there was one thing I did not learn until after it was all done. For me I lost 5 service years at my job. The only way I could actually buy them back was if she moved her non-member retirement money out of the public retirement system into her own retirement account. THIS is wha…
/r/Divorce_Men10/10/24 05:53 PM

Should have compared her to a car. Tell her that you have no idea that she would be worth more as a classic car, and that more often new cars will come along and be better, faster, and worth more. Cars are like women; a depreciating asset.
/r/Divorce_Men06/07/24 04:31 PM
2

True. you can argue that it is not a gift, but as a "purchase for us" i know its a stretch. Most young people believe that thinking/planning about divorce means jeopardizing the relationship, hence prenups are rare for young couples without assets. Personally I believe that if marriage licenses are required for legal reasons, so should prenups be required to get that license.

Great suggestion to new couples. Give cheap promisary rings during the engagement and wedding, and follow up with that "expensive" and "meaningful" ring for the first anniversary. Call it "our ring" and if things fail, it becomes community property (male rings are typically cheaper)

Your life is going great, you have kids, in great shape and a job. You have completed your starter wife and can now truly enjoy stuff. Meet new guys, travel, buy vacation property, hang with boys.. hire a hooker if you miss sex. Your next real relationship will be true love and foundation you have never had before. Women make money now too.. as a man you should only marry women who make more than you (im guessing that historically men werent "marriage material" if they made less than a woman or had no job) Things are changing, women have higher graduation rates in college.. and as women are filling roles of power so will hiring more women to hirer paying jobs...

Depending on where you live there is benefit of perception of being more stable. Finding rental housing or jobs where you are preferred over other applicants for stability. I know first hand when i looked at house rentals when i was married. "I'm looking for me and my wife" had much more weight than live-in girlfriend.
