Yeah by the end it was basically saying "a men ruled world sucks for women, a women ruled world sucks for men, let's not make it a gendered thing and let's just respect each other as people" They ended off with the one joke about how "soon the men will have as much power as women in the real world" and I was alright with it, like fair enough, but either way the ending rang as equality to me

You're right in a sense. Nobody this young should ever need to have an outlook such as this in order to succeed and survive in this world. But here we are. I became the same way at 13 because of things said and done to and about me. Distrust and fear don't discriminate. They will come for anyone able to feel them, eventually. And if the world can't give us a reason to break free of those habits, then so be it.

He already said she has tried to retract the statements, and their mutual attempts to clear his name were met with indifference and little to no belief from the legal system. A branch article to this one says he fell to his death from a parking garage. It also brings up his Facebook post, while saying he "left behind" his wife and kids. Am I the only one who hates that wording of "left behind"? I feel it comes off as downplaying his mental turmoil in exchange for (at least partially) hers. Not one mention was made about what led him to commit suicide in said article, which means publicly, not many would know of his wife's guilty actions. Fuck her, and fuck the media.

I know, what I am saying is that it is a right that belongs to a certain demographic of people (people with female reproductive organs), and that it is very likely that that demographic will be mostly in favor of their own rights. It really wasn't that deep. My comment was an off-the-cuff example that, who would have guessed on the internet, might not be perfect.
