Okay, so why is it that the majority of divorces are initiated by women? Why is it that dead bedrooms are usually caused by low desire on the female side? It seems like women's sexuality is the one that's incompatible with long term monogamy, which is why you see more women choosing to remain single than ever before nowadays.

Was your comment sarcastic?

True lol. Although part of the point is that women aren’t into men in most ways, not just sexually. I mean how many women do you see saying ‘ugh, I’m only straight by choice’ or ‘I hate that I’m attracted to men cause I don’t like any of them’. And why so many more women are happily single nowadays.

In my last relationship the woman kept pushing me to open up and then once I did (cause she asked me to) only then did she start complaining about having to support me, even though I still supported her way more. So who knows what women what. I guess men actually like women so they don’t mind supporting/listening to them, whereas women dislike men which is why they complain about having to ‘play therapist’ and hate and resent having to support them.

Men should smile less actually. There was a study that showed that women were less attracted to men who smiled cause they saw it as ‘less masculine’ https://psycnet.apa.org/record/2011-10737-001

Even if you could improve your looks by just grooming and dressing better (even though allot of it like height and facial structure are genetics), how would you know that your attracting actually good women and not just shallow ones who only like you for your looks? Women complain all the time about men being shallow and only caring about sex, but then this is the advice they give them when it comes to dating

Okay, so accept willingly taking yourself outta of the dating market and being alone forever, and having your desires for sex and love/romance be forever unfulfilled? That’s pretty much what I’ve done, devil you know vs the one you don’t I guess

I also wonder if women are more likely to express their insecurities outwardly, whereas men are more likely to hide or repress those insecurities, and are more reluctant to talk about them openly due to male gender roles

takes care of everyone, takes up other people's responsibilities, wants gratitude, doesn't communicate and wants people to read their minds, plays victim, is always a martyr, is passive-aggressive idk this sounds like traits more commonly associated with women then men.

Well if you can't provide any sources, I'm inclined to disregard your opinion. It's fine if your transgender, but again like I said that hardly makes you representative of most people, you're probably gonna have a bias towards the importance of nature and you can't really speak for other women since you're pretty different from them and you claim you aren't even one yourself. (no offense)

Genetics is more important. Biology/nature is a better indicator of who a person will be in the end. You did say that “socialization plays little role” and I was pushing back on that statement, and saying that your socialization could have had a very big role on how you turned out, even if in a negative way. Someone in the opposite position of you might have a very different experience -- they might idolize a traditional and simple lifestyle as opposed to the hectic and faithless work life they …

If boy's aren't taught valuable skills, why do they outearn girls once they grow up? Giving the disparity in income between men and women it seems like boys are getting better preparation for the "real world" than girls are.

Most parents and culture don't "teach" boys and men anything so that "toxic masculinity" people talk about so much suddenly isn't a thing? Culture definitely teaches boys things too (aka "man up, don't show you emotions, be stoic and strong") it's just different things

That could be rebellion aspect though. It’s like how many people who were brought up catholic become hardcore atheists who hate religion, whereas many people who were brought up irreligious become born again christians. So just because you did the opposite of how you were brought up and taught doesn’t mean you weren’t affected by it or nurture isn’t important, in fact you may have done the exact opposite precisely because of how you were socialized. The grass always seems greener on the other si…

The stigma might be a deterrent for some, but the answer is simple: people generally want to be desired, and to have a genuine connection with someone <— yes. yes. yes. It’s true that men “only” want sex, but we don’t “just” want sex. We want all the things that come with sex. The feeling of being desired by someone. The pride and self esteem boost that comes with it. The physical and emotional intimacy. Why does no one get this?

Talking with women is like being in the Truman Show, or the Matrix. If you do everything right (mind you nobody will tell you how or what right even is), they will reward you with a nice little house and a nice little relationship and maybe even some nice little pity sex. But if you make even a small mistake they will toss you out back into reality and then kick you when you are down. Seriously, women can ruthless, do not trust them when they act nice, as it is not their true nature! Just apart …

Individuals with ADHD (diagnosed or not) are probably overrepresented on this sub and such people have a tendency to seek out stimulation/dopamine hits from arguing with others. why do you gotta call me out like that lmao

I think women never take responsibility, however, if they have a diagnosable mental illness that causes them to act that way, that is at least understandable. It's when women behave shittily and then try to excuse with, well I just felt that way, or well I didn't know what I wanted, that we should call them out for avoiding accountability

Married or “taken” men are generally seen as more attractive to other women. Social proof is a thing.

I think when most women complain about men having higher standards, their really complaining about standards set by other women. I would actually agree that women take have to meet high social and beauty standards in today's society, but their being judged on these by other women, not men. Most guys don’t care too much about how you look, we just see a moderately attractive women and go for it. It’s other women who are most judgy about how you look, what you were, your appearance etc.

it's funny how the discussion of these issues and women's solution is always "men have to try harder". We're already trying too hard, that's the problem, it's wearing us out. But women don't get it cause they have to put in none of that effort

Not all, but most dislike open communication and are rarely honest about their intentions. Watch what they do, not what they say.

One other thing I would like to add. This might sound a bit odd, but I think it’s a real thing. Let’s say you were a 100% perfect girl, the kind all men say they want. Your drop-dead gorgeous, sexy, have a kind and caring personality, always available and loyal, etc. I think you would actually have a very hard time getting dates. Why? Cause you would make most men insecure. They would think, why would this amazing girl go for me, why wouldn’t she just leave me for a better man? This probably wou…

The difference between men and women is, men will tease you to your face while still maintaining respect, while women will act sweet and caring in person but say the nastiest stuff about you behind your back. Women aren’t any “nicer” or “more considerate” than men, they just know how to cloak their cruelty in socially accepted behaviors.

Well, as an autistic person, are experience throughout our life is that people have consistently been inconsiderate to us and our way of communicating. If that’s where your coming from, where you’ve been spit on again and again but are still expected to play by other people’s rules and go out of your way to make other people feel comfortable, even when no one does it for you, why would you want to? Especially when your expected to just “know” the rules when nobody tells you and their very much n…

All women, regardless of age, race, or social situation, have a feminine instinct to serve their man. However, and this is a key distinction, that does not mean they want to be submissive. Women, since birth, have been raised to “read between the lines” and manage other people’s emotions. With partners, they want to read or use their intuition to find out your unspoken needs, thoughts and desires and provide them for you. Now, they dislike open, blunt or direct communication, and if you ask them…

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=74I7Nl1mKig -- great clip from a movie illistrated this. That's the difference between guys and gals. Guys will tease you directly but still be the best of friends, girls will talk all sweet to your face then spread mean rumours about you behind your back. Honestly I much prefer the former to the latter.

Someone who has lots of casual sex does not equal the person is hot or viceversa? Is it easier for a hot person, yes. Does that mean all hot people have casual sex and not hot people have no or less causal sex? No. all true. I actually have a great deal of respect for Leonard DiCaprio. He knows what he wants, he makes it clear and he goes for it. It's okay to have preferences as long as your clear about them and don't act like your special. I wish more women would learn from him in that regard

Just to keep full context, part of the reason the wall happens as it does is that, men will have put years and years of effort into building himself up and increasing the resources he can provide, his social status etc, so he can be attractive to women. Meanwhile, once women hit the wall, their natural beauty will fade but they will still have their entitlement, they will never have learned how to market themselves and attract the opposite gender like men have. Which is why so many older women c…

One thing that confused me about women were how they constantly avoid responsibility for everything by making excuses, rationalizing etc, but except accountability from other people in their lives, especially men. The way I understand it is, accountability is a masculine trait, just as beauty is a feminine trait. That is, men require the women they date to be beautiful, while women, while preferring to be with a beautiful man, are willing to overlook that aspect if the man makes up for it in oth…

Who knows, but I definitely feel worse on days where I stay in my sweatpants and don't put any makeup on. But admitting it kinda ruins the illusion no? People what to say they "do it for themselves" for the exact reason, to look better in front of other people. Ah the irony

It’s so obvious that you put women as part of your identity like wtf. That last one makes allot of sense. One of the (many) confusing things about women is that they say they want confident guys but will try to undermine your confidence at every turn when your actually with them. I guess it's a shit test (women love these) to see if your confidence is actually durable or if it's just an act your putting on to lead her on. Women want confident men but only ones who are genuinely confident and not…

I think this comes from the assumption that women make that men want the same things that women do. Since women tend to be attracted to men with high earning careers, they assume that they can just put all their effort into their careers and they'll easily be able to find a partner. They fail to realize that men don't care about your job/finances, and what's more, have a bossy, ambitious, "strong independent woman" personality doesn't exactly make you attractive to most men. Of course, many. men…

It might be because they get to know them better, like them as person, or they help them with their complexes, i have no idea. But I've seen it happen many times. I actually have a theory about this. One reason for this could be the familiarity preference, basically people like things they're familiar with more. So these girls might think about the perfect guy in the abstract, but when they actually meet a guy and get to know him they start to like him more and more. And then they perfect to sti…
