Back again. How am I supposed to know how much sex you have? Or that you are embittered about it? I said it because 1) I had to leave the convo, and 2) the whole stereotype of a feminist is that she is angry and has no man in her life. That’s not true though. Most feminists date and marry. So it amused me to the point that out. Sorry it upset you. Also, we are talking about reproductive freedom. Without it, women are less motivated to have the kinds of sex that lead to pregnancy. So if you ain’t…

Why is it childish other than it amuses me to say it? It’s what sex positive adults do. I’m a parent. I have got the whole family planning thing figured out, thanks. I also had the foresight to make a blue state my home.

What reproductive rights don’t you have? You are able to bar women from having abortions using states rights! Maybe you can someday force us to have abortions too!

Who do you think put it “in the past,” assuming that is actually true? Women fighting for equal rights that they can never stop defending. Women also fight for men’s issues as well, and have since the suffragette movement. Look at stats for rape arrests and prosecutions. https://rainn.org/facts-statistics-the-scope-of-the-problem/statistics-the-criminal-justice-system/ For you, too. Re: Supreme Court. We know that. If I can’t get an a life saving abortion in a red state because of someone else’s religious beliefs, that’s oppression. If the state has more rights than the individual, isn’t that the big government conservatives do strongly protest? So you believe in affirmative action and gender parity then? Good. I have no objection to gender parity as needed. If more men want to be admitted to literature and psychology programs, more power to them. By the way, I NEVER said w…

I am not seeing the stats you are because 63% of American women identify as pro-choice according to the 2024 Gallup Poll. I fail to see how one can have individual pro-choice if abortion is not legal and if that right is not enforced. There are countries where abortion is technically legal but it is hard to find a doctor to perform one.

Re-read please. Nothing you are saying here is substantiated by anything I have said. I also said I was for affirmative action but not if it is JUST for white men, which is the very privilege generations of men have gotten used to, and now seem to mourn. I’m talking about men’s paranoia and their tendency to jump to replacement theory, which has more to do with the fact that both white supremacy and patriarchal structures are in fact about gatekeeping and control. I’m talking about men’s attitud…

You seem to be misreading the chart on women’s self-ID on whether they are pro-choice or pro-life. That was 61% pro-choice to 32% pro-life in 2025. Also, I never said it abortion was solely a gendered issue. Religion plays a large part, especially among fundamentalists and conservatives. Still, women who care about reproductive rights, REALLY CARE. You understand what parity means, right? And what would happen without those initiatives. I am actually FOR affirmative action, but not just for whit…

I know plenty of beautiful women and beautiful girls who are shy and lack confidence socially. Confidence comes from struggle and trial and error. From failing, surviving it, trying again and eventually succeeding.

While I’m happy that my daughter says she’ll never drink, she’s 18, she is really, really shy, as I was. I let my husband know that he could ask me out by hopping into his lap at a bar when I was tipsy, and that never would’ve happened when I was sober. I don’t think the kids necessarily need to drink, but they do need to go out. It would be great to bring back inexpensive shows at all ages venues and bars. My entire 20s was about seeing bands. Not all women live in blue states so I fail to see your point, especially when abortion is criminalized in red states, even in cases of rape or the life of the mother. Also, your stats on pro-choice women versus men are inaccurate, and the majority of women are pro-choice. The idea that we need to admit more to certain fields is affirmative action for men. Do you not have an issue with that if you oppose gender based affirmative action? When they do it for men, they call it “gender balance.” Als…

Many men think “women” and “feminists” are synonyms, but there are many women who have internalized misogyny or uphold the status quo because we grow up in the same societies, and most women want to be liked by men, etc. Women can be assholes too—see r/NiceGirls. That’s not feminism, that’s being awful. Also, we can all be inconsistent. There was line on a comedy recently where one lesbian women says to her straight woman friend, “You believe in things! Yet, many women can no longer have abortions in the many states in the USA even when their life is at risk. When it comes to women’s rights, nothing is conceded without a fight. Many universities continue to favor male applicants in 2025 in the USA. We are actualky still arguing about whether or not the ERA passed. Also, women and girls matter globally. No, the moderate thing is something women currently complain about. I’m not going to act as if I know every woman or her thought processes, and I would ask you to stop doing that to every woman you talk to. We are not a monolith. Also, just because you disagree doesn’t make it an “obvious lie.” If you want to use Reddit as a guide, there are tons of posts where women do have to make a difficult decision once they find out the podcasts the man listens to, or who he voted for. Maybe they find out …

I don’t think participation in patriarchal bargaining is passive at all. It’s a choice. This goes back to white women choosing to align themselves with white supremacy during slavery or Trump voters in 2016 and 2024. These are the people who did not expect the leopards to eat THEIR face. I will also say I know plenty of radical older white women. My own mom volunteered with Food Not Bombs, joined the DSA, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 07:14 PM
8

I think that does certainly happen, but a lot of women will ask and will post their political affiliations on the OLD profile. So a conservative man who takes the date and doesn’t mention his politics is lying by omission. Also, I hear men now tell women they are “moderate,” when they are really conservatives. They don’t mean moderate DEMs or even neoliberals, but guys who voted for Trump for “economic reasons.”
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 07:11 PM

Older white women often participate in patriarchal bargaining, where they align themselves with the men they believe will protect them, but then are surprised when they lose their rights. It’s more about dependency and not realize when they are part of the “them” in “us against them.” This doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty of left-wing older white women. I am an example, and my nonwhite husband is also left wing.

The research suggests women more strongly prefer someone likeminded politically than men who are more likely to accept a date with a woman despite her politics. One stat said that only one out of ten men would decline a date based on politics. Men are also more likely to downplay or lie about their politics until they feel secure in a relationship. I think some men become more conservative within a relationship as they age, amass wealth, etc., while leftwing women tend to stay that way, unless t…

Even assertive and dominant men can relax into emotional vulnerability when they need to, if there is emotional safety. I don’t think staying hypervigilant is sustainable for anyone 100% of the time. Everyone needs a soft place to fall. Everyone has doubts and needs help. I think even men would agree that making 100% of the decisions or being responsible for 100% of the providing and protecting can be really exhausting and emotionally distancing. I have known truly dominant women but they tended…

If that’s “very clear” why do men still abandon their babies or have more than they can reasonably parent? At least single women are parenting. Since you don’t like women, take it up with the men, the baby daddies. I’m sure you know that less than half of children get their full child support amount. Over 56% get a partial payment or nothing at all. There’s your bad guys, deadbeat dads. You don’t have to blame the moms and kids for that. That’s basic misogyny though. Take it out on the women and…

That’s been debunked so many times. Men absolutely can get SOLE custody if they want it and if they have a good job and the space for a child, but many men not only don’t pursue joint custody but settle for visitation, and many men also don’t pay child support. Only about half of children receive their full ordered child support amount. The courts actually favor the best interest of the child, and what you are talking about, privileging the mother, was based on the fact that mothers were once th…

That’s what this is really about. You are mad that she dated and had a baby with someone else first, because you clearly think you are the better man, except that you are not, because you are busy hating women you don’t even know. You have this fantasy where the mother gets punished for having the baby and caring for it. That’s some creepy shit. If you want to be logical about this, why not hate on men with multiple baby mamas who often don’t even pay child support? Who chronically let a woman t…

Look up Walkaway Wife Syndrome. Most women with kids leave because they sadly discover it will be easier to do it alone than with a trifling man. Were you raised by a single mom? Do you even know what you are talking about? Most people who were are grateful to the parent who did everything alone. Also, don’t ask people to provide you with info you could easily google. I’m not your mom, teacher or librarian. And put your own damn clothes in the hamper.

If she is a single mom, then the dad is either not coparenting or paying child support, or they are amicably co-parenting, in which case, you have nothing to worry about. BTW, the reason women initiate divorces is that they don’t want to raise a grown man. A baby is enough. Single mom hate is a chronically online thing. Men raised by single moms respect single moms.

You said it yourself: Wimen do not enter the field at the same rates as men. It’s not even close. You are almost getting it. WHY is that? And why, despite the dearth of women in the field, are many noteworthy contributions attributed to women? It’s not for lack of interest on the part of women but systemic barriers that still exist today. Even the way you speak about this reeks of gatekeeping and bias.

I don’t take it personally if a man doesn’t orgasm as well. I ask if there’s something I can do to help. Can I blow him or jerk him off or let him give me a pearl necklace, tit fucking, etc. I’m still really invested in his orgasm and being an active participant because I care. I do expect that in return.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 10:07 PM

Women afford men grace ALL THE TIME. That’s where faking orgasms comes from: liking a man, enjoying being with him, but not orgasming with him. And not every man likes it when you tell him you didn’t come so you need to self-pleasure now, so it’s a delicate situation. Most men expect to orgasm every time, barring anti-depression meds or something like that. Most women do not. So please don’t talk to women about grace.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 09:50 PM

Wow, this is a wild self-own. You can use her body to thrust but you won’t use your fingers, your tongue or a toy on her to show that you care about her pleasure? WTF? Also, just because you haven’t been with a woman who can blow you to completion doesn’t mean women don’t do it all the time. Women do touch themselves during sex, but I think what you are talking about is more parallel play than actually getting a woman off.

I mean, you can still run the bases. I don’t think I mentioned no burn, just a slow burn, letting it build. Edit: You gotta get the date too—no extended text and phone only phase. The urgency will fizzle out.

That isn’t an apt comparison. It takes two or it isn’t sex. She is lending you her orifices. You have multiple ways you can orgasm. A lot of women, the majority, have only one, so if you don’t participate in getting her there, in getting each other there, she is better off using a clit stim toy alone without you there to distract her, and you might as well stay home and masturbate. Your dick may feel nice but if it can’t help her finish, you aren’t satisfying her. I would not go around telling w…

I agree: I’ve met just as many awful men who were unattractive as attractive assholes. Sometimes attractive people are well adjusted and unattractive people are not—it’s very individual. I do think mutual attraction and a sense of ease together is the first green flag. Either attraction is there from the start or it builds, but it has to be there. I think both can be true: Women should have the sex they WANT to have, even if it is right away, but it is also very difficult to reverse engineer a hook up or a situationship into a relationship. That either happens naturally or it doesn’t. So going for a slow burn allows for both parties to be on the same page, and men who just want sex are not going to stick around for that, while men who do want a relationship will. There are a lot of good reasons to get to know each other first. When I was …

Most men can orgasm in multiple ways. Most straight men orgasm from PIV—maybe not you, according to what you indicated here if so understand correctly. An overwhelming percentage of women do not finish via PIV. It depends a lot on a women’s physiology and those subtle differences in anatomy happen for us in the womb because all orgasms are clitoral orgasms but the distance from the clit to the vaginal opening makes a difference in terms of PIV orgasms. I think confidence and a well-adjusted attitude counts for a lot. We all have our problems, but if we can bring the sunshine to someone else, if we have emotional intelligence, that counts for a lot. Girls WILL like you if you are extra nice to them, but that doesn’t mean they will want to date or have sex with you. The research does indicate that we are more attracted to people who are kind to and interested in us. Are you sure this is r/AskFeminists ? There are other feminist subreddits. The top posts today are about Bell Hooks, why some people believe misandry isn’t real, and the concept of the male gaze, etc. The point of the subreddit is to ask feminists questions about feminism, less to debate.

I joined AskFeminists and I think it’s very well moderated, and the women are erudite. They don’t like low effort antagonism gotcha questions or questions that aren’t about feminism in particular. Not all women are feminists. Women uphold the toxic parts of the status quo, like harmful gender norms, or gender tribalism (misogyny/misandry) just as much as men do. They don’t do relationship questions.

I know a few totally average guys who have TONS of charisma or charm. A lot of it is simply about how you make THE OTHER PERSON feel. Imagine that. If you observe someone and proceed with warmth and good intentions and little boldness, it’s not hard to rizz or be disarming. Also, it helps if you can write if you are talking on the OLD apps.
