Attractiveness and likelihood to be perceived of as kind/intelligent etc. are positively correlated. Its also true that first impressions last much longer than they should. I guess its just kind of a shitty situation. On the plus side, its probably not worth being interested in people who judge character based on looks. Kindness and ambition are things that, after having had a partner for a while, you begin to truly appreciate. If someone isn't genuinely kind, it may be difficult to notice that at first. So, conversely, those subjective desires such as charm, a certain gait, or other physical qualities, may be what initially attracts you; but thats not what anyone sticks around for.
