Oof. That sounds familiar, down to the "christian version." The concept of a 50/50 marriage left the building some time ago. I'll give my wife credit for trying to not be a useless lump due to mental health issues, but I've long since accepted that I'm going to be pulling the majority of the weight in this marriage.

If this were a town square, a hundred years ago, my neighbour would no doubt get off his arse and help carry my bags or watch my child while I do the return trip to get the second load If this were a hundred years ago, you wouldn't be a single mother by choice.

The only truly relevant thing here is that she is 36. Due to her income, she will undoubtedly think she deserves someone who makes even more - i.e. the 1% of the 1%. But as we know, men with that kind of earning power have options - and they are not going to exercise those options on a woman racing toward the wall at MACH 5, no matter how wealthy or "well traveled" she might be.

But I think it's here for the first video, where she's giving women bad advice, encouraging them to follow the same path that led to her sadness. As Dr Phil would say, "How's that working out for you?" I see a lot of single post-wall acquaintances claiming they're happy with their lives. They say it a lot. Almost like they're trying to convince themselves it's true. And in some cases, it's truly sad... I know women who tried to do things the right way (e.g. they weren't slutting around through t…

met a woman in church at a singles event. She was early 30’s and had a 7 year old daughter. They dated for about 9 months. She was up for sex anywhere any time. Red flag #1: A woman you met at a church event is up for premarital sex anytime anywhere. Anyway, at least he realized his mistake early. Too many men don't make this realization until much later on, when divorce is much more costly. I'm not entirely sure what she's trying to say. Yes, you're not going to be living a jetsetter lifestyle if you're with a guy working a middle-class job. That part she has right. Though she does seem to imply it's simply a matter of choosing a "higher quality man" - which overlooks the fact that there's only so many of them to go around. And they're not interested in settling down with a 6 who slept her way through a league's worth of football teams.

Get tested for sleep apnea. If it turns out you have it (likely given your height/weight, even if your BF% is good), a CPAP machine will knock out the snoring, hopefully help you get a better night's sleep, and could potentially prevent an early death. I personally hate my CPAP machine, but it beats keeling over at a young age due to sleep apnea.

I matched with a lawyer many years ago - we never got past the phone call stage; every word out of her mouth was combative, as if she were cross-examining me the entire conversation.
/r/WhereAreAllTheGoodMen09/07/22 03:35 PM
12

Yep. Men are realistic. We'll take "good enough" and be happy about it. Are you somewhat attractive? Can keep the bitchiness to a minimum? DONE! OTOH, your average 21st century woman has been fed a Disney princess fantasy from birth, which was confirmed by the endless men that threw themselves at them in their teens and 20s. They think they'll have a seat at the buffet table forever, sampling everything available in perpetuity - until it's too late.

A 41-year-old does not get to spend 58% of her weekends on first dates if she is not attractive. From her Twitter profile pic, she's attractive enough - not fat, pleasant face. Doesn't look 41 (assuming the pics are relatively recent). I'd go out with her if I was single and knew nothing else about her. But she is nowhere near hot enough to reject 90% of her second date requests given her age. That's her problem. She's probably also scaring off the hotter guys by bringing up the biological clock…

Remove the 0, and thats how many first dates I had in my lifetime. Yet I managed to get (and stay) married and have a family. In other words: If one person tells you you're a horse, they are crazy. If three people tell you you're a horse, there's conspiracy afoot. If ten people tell you you're a horse, it's time to buy a saddle. If 120 people tell you you’re a horse, it’s time to invest in cat food and boxed wine.

I have to be the provider AND the emotionally mature one in the house. In the film Kramer vs Kramer, the protagonist said the same thing: Men basically have to view their marriage as sort of like the house: If he doesn't take care of the car and house, it'll fall apart. The more you reward a certain behavior, the more you’re going to get. If women en masse decided to stop rewarding Chad Thundercock and Harley McBadBoy with no-strings sex, and instead gave their attention to Steady Eddie who wasn’t pushing for sex on the first date, you would see the relationship marketplace turn on a dime. But that’ll never happen as long as women continue to choose men with their groins and not their brains.

Even at my most single and desperate, I was never thirsty enough to even consider sex with that great pudding of a woman.

Being "oppressed" is now social currency.

She certainly looks inflated.

Also she fat. Yep. She's hoping the cleavage will distract you from the fact that her stomach sticks out almost as far as those huge milkers.

I know a few women who have gotten breast reductions. The fat ones tend to put the boob weight right back on.

Yeah - that goes for everyone. Certain locales - including but not limited to big cities - simply aren't conducive to finding marriable partners. If you're not finding the type of person you want to marry where you are, figure out where the best chance of finding them is, and go there. With so many jobs now offering work-from-home, there's really no excuse.

The sitcom intro theme... "She's looking for a fella who's got it all Handsome and buff and rich and tall But her personality needs an overhaul Don't look now but here comes the wall!"

And what does your AARP-ass bring to the relationship? The funny thing is, if you point out the ridiculousness of her list of demands, women will say that men are just as unreasonable. However, our demands are simple: take care of your appearance don’t be a bitch

We may have a secret fatty here. The proportions are all off. Notice how there is no tapering at the lower part of the photo

With adoption you carry the child to term, and then you're left with the knowledge that your offspring is out there, somewhere. Being given the love and care that you were unwilling/unable to provide. With abortion you can just tell yourself it was only a "clump of cells"

Freezing eggs right before 40, buying a house and the potential to become a single mom at will are being sold as “empowering”, “inspiring”, “ancestress’ dreams” etc. One woman points out clearly what this is actually about: “this is what male privilege is” – the “luxury” to not worry about the biological clock. Much like feminism itself, the infertility industry has sold a huge, massive lie to women - that they can put off children as long as they like and then pop out as many healthy kids as th…

Jesus told the woman at the well ( who had been caught slutting around ) that he did not condemn her. The problem is often people read that, and assume all is well. No condemnation? I can do whatever I want! But they neglect to read the next verse: “Now go and sin no more.”

It might just be me, but every time I hear a woman say "partner", it is just a loud alarm of red flags to me. It's their way to avoid saying they were just shacking up.

Oh no she's horny all the time. She's describing the male experience except there is no lack of people willing to help her get off. That was my first thought as well. Welcome to the hell that is male adolescence. At least you have an outlet.

I was all about getting married young and having a large family. The women I encountered in my late teens and twenties were not.
