"Should" is a very silly word. "Capable of" is more accurate one for this situation.

She is dating a rather successful amateur fighter. I can understand why she would think it is difficult to injure a man. Once she learned the truth of the situation, she was all over finding ways to help him, and very encouraging.

I don't think she would want to send him to prison, because as far as I know Chen is her only emotional support in this country (she is not from America, she came here for school). But him getting in trouble with the lawdefinitely is a concern. During a recent fight the police were called by a neighbor, and she had a bleeding lip (I think it was self defense on his part, he told this story before admitting the physical abuse), so there might already be some sort of paperwork that could shine a p…

Yes, that is the plan. Tonight the gf is supposed to contact her mother about getting back on depression meds, and that should get her into a stable enough condition for the breakup to happen. If that doesn't happen then Chen is going to go to their school's councilor and find affordable resources for suicide support/care. Last week (after neighbors called the police from hearing them fight) she spent two nights in a hospital on suicide watch and it was very expensive.

It's difficult to get him to see that, though my friend and I agree. Additionally, if something did happen, he would probably live with an unpleasant amount of guilt

I'm pretty private about my sex life. I'm open about sex in general; I even volunteer with Planned Parenthood. But I've never really been the most comfortable going into the specifics of my bedroom (or living room, or kitchen, or...) with people I know. So while I may call my boyfriend master, or owner, or sir at home (or in public when out of earshot of others), to most of my friends, family, and strangers we are just your normal doting couple. As my boyfriend said the other day when the proper…

I'm well aware of how hard it is to find sex stories about FGM, so yeah, that would be better haha

If he was an outstanding citizen who paid his taxes and donated food to widows, and secretly tortured people and turned them into slaves that would be sexier than what he does now. That scene where it showed the body of the guy he skinned and de-eyed? Believe me, no tingles there. I'm not saying hybristophilia isn't a thing. I'm saying don't use my quote as supporting evidence for it because it isn't his atrocities that I find attractive.

I wrote the quote that got bolded. I wouldn't say I have a crush on Ramsay. Just that the way he now treats and looks at Theon/Reek is sexy. Not really much point in defending myself in TRP, I suppose, but I feel the need to clear things up, even though I should be focusing on getting dinner ready for my master.

I'm the woman with the quote that got bolded. In my defense, I wish that Theon was a woman because I'm not overly fond of male on male torture. Read the quote again; I'm not saying it was sexy that he chopped Theon's dick off, I'm saying the possessive way he now handles Theon/Reek is sexy. But I'm also dating a guy who thinks that torturing and owning me is sexy so, you know, it's not like I'm lacking self awareness about my tastes.

D: I think I know the secret of how people were so slim in the past: all of their food was disgusting. Some old things persist to this day (like "green bean casserole" WHY) but I'm happy that today's recipes are so much better. I know lots of grocery stores offer free recipe cards. I haven't tried any of them, but they generally look pretty good. Perhaps that would be a better source than vintage?

Taco Seasoning? Psh. I'm not really a RPW, but I have to interject here with the real best chicken taco recipe. It is based off of this recipe. 1.5 lbs chicken (mixture of boneless/skinless chicken thighs and breasts. Only thighs, too greasy. Only breasts, too dry) 2 cups water 1 tsp salt .5 tsp pepper .5 tsp garlic powder .25 tsp onoin powder 1 large onion, diced 2 tsp chili powder 1 tsp dry oregano .25 tsp cumin powder (Optional) 1 small tin of diced green chilies If desired, pan-cook the chic…

Lovely post (although it makes me want to scream, "NAWALT!" haha), it makes me think of a very similar article by Mr. Money Mustache's thoughts. If the sort of things there ring true, you might want to check out his introduction or whatever post

Bike commuting! Around the same time as it takes to commute normally (for me, at least), but instead of idleness, you burn calories and have fun. If bike commuting is out of the question for some tragic reason, try biking to the store, to social events, to the post office, or wherever it is that you generally go.

An IUD and blow jobs does the trick, for me. I've never really gotten symptoms other than blood and a few pre-period pimples. My partner isn't squeamish at all about periods. Now that I've got the Mirena IUD there's barely any blood anyway (I just use a few pantie liners, I haven't needed tampons in like two years), so really the only difference between anything is that there's a few days every few months where I let it be known that doing vagina-to-mouth would be very unpleasant for me. A few m…

Considering that, if a woman wanted a divorce for no particular reason, she had to fabricate a story of abuse or infidelity... Yeah, pretty horrific for the men. Admittedly, I don't know how common that was.

http://www.nationalaffairs.com/publications/detail/the-evolution-of-divorce It's not so much that divorce was illegal, it's just that once upon a time you needed a good reason to get one.

A FB friend of mine posted this a while ago, and I rather enjoyed it, so I sought out other things this fellow had written; but after reading this article he wrote, I backed away slowly. It doesn't discount from any veracity of this article. But I hate it when reasonableness comes from people who are otherwise so mad. I keep seeing this article popping up, and it bothers me that it perhaps gives credence to his less-reasonable views.

Hah,it's the opposite for me. I know my partner would love to get high with me, and have high sex with me... but it's just something I cannot do. I have a huge emotional resistance to all illegal drugs (and I am certain that weed becoming legal won't change my mind.) I understand that there is some mild irrationality on my part. But it is an irrationality I cannot shake. Fortunately my partner sees what a huge issue it is for me, and agreed long ago that after we lived together he would stop usi…

How so? It is suggested that submission = removing oneself from the handling of household finance. I'm pointing out that in a culture that is known for female submission, this is not how it works.

RP often vilifies western women; but are you aware that it's traditional in Japan for the woman of the house to completely handle the finances? Here's another link.

Chiming in here (disclosure: I'm more of a "24/7 TPE sort of person than a RPW, but I find this subreddit interesting) Financial mindedness is much more than "man vs woman" or anything as simple as that. For example, I am vaguely Jewish. I started learning what the stock market was in elementary school. When other little girls were learning about eyeliner (I still can't figure those devil sticks out), I was being told not to purchase call options. I started my IRA when I was 18. I live off of ha…

Reading this from the perspective of one who is pursuing financial independence/early retirement added an interesting angle to this article. It seems that everyone, man or woman, is submissive to someone, although those who have accumulated enough wealth to be truly financially independent are less submissive than most.

My resolution is to, at minimum, wear Erase Paste under my eyes every day, and curl my lashes. For some reason my under-eyes are always crazy purple (super thin skin? I drink so much water, and get plenty of sleep). My boyfriend smiled quite nicely when I told him about my plan :)

I don't really care either way, if people want to feel offended, fine. I was simply explaining the logistics of when offence may occur, since this post was about hypocrisy.

Didn't read through all the posts (don't really care that much), but my understanding is that generally the difference in offensiveness is using "male/female" as a noun vs using it as an adjective. Acceptable: I did lunch with a male coworker, the female paramedic gave mouth to mouth to my brother, the male stripper got rained on, the new female barista makes shitty coffee. Unacceptable: Kiss my feet, male. My project partner is the female over there. Just, you know, fyi.

Oh man, I forgot that this App was a thing. Downloading now. Yesss. My two best guy friends have reviews from previous partners. This is hilarious and fantastic. Pity they are now in relationships, and my positive friend reviews won't allow me to be a digital wing woman. I'm just sad that basically nobody else I know has even had their profile viewed before :( Except that one guy from high school who is now a male model with a heart of gold. Shocking.

Supply and demand. There's a much higher demand for female strippers than male strippers, and thus there are more female than male strippers in the world. There's only so few astronauts in the world, so they are best of the best. But there's a huge need for mechanics, so some mechanics are only so-so.

I thought it an interesting piece. I can't quite say I'm a red pill woman (although I've agreed with a good amount of what I've read here), and I thought it slightly applicable. Plus I just love The Toast and think everyone everywhere should be reading it (although some of their articles are perhaps too feminist for this crowd). Being social and friendly is generally recognized as a feminine trait. By reading the comments of the piece it's pretty obvious that a lot of women relate, or know women…

Wat? I think this is an important issue. I clicked the "other discussions" tab of the instance posted on r/XX so I could check out other discussions, and was disappointed to see it only had ~5 points in this subreddit, even though it had been sitting around for over an hour.

It certainly would be folly to assume that abuse can't happen in a bdsm relationship. But I look at the source... And I can't help but feel this is a carefully crafted fiction, with elements of truth. Perhaps I just like to assume the best in people. But this contains pretty much every element of femdom fantasy. A strong independent woman (as measured by salary) supported by a subservient male. With the ages of the children, there is with real cuckoldry, or the couple gets so turned on by the id…

Yep. I can't claim to understand it, but there's guys out there who would kill for this lifestyle. I mean, if this actually isn't what he wants it is horrible (it's so convenient that they thought to interview him for his opinion...), but I suspect there's a good chance he is living his femdom fantasy .

I don't understand all the fuss. Her reactions seems pretty normal. Apart from the sandwich sharing. But that's because most people bite their sandwiches, rather than tear them into bite-sized bits. And sharing bitten sandwiches with a stranger is a bit gross for both parties.

Waiting for what exactly? Oh, for me to list things that feminism has done for men? Let's this break this down into three things men seem to like: Intercourse. Money. Freedom. First, lets look at intercourse. I admit I don't know much about how things were before the women's rights movement. Heck, I don't even know much about the history of women's rights; I'm majoring in Computer Science, and so I haven't taken a class about it. But it's probably pretty safe to assume that men had to choose bet…
