It’s actually waaaay worse than that for men in Spain. Basically, women are given money just for accusing men of domestic violence. Men are basically not allowed to defend themselves, present evidence/witnesses, etc. It’s absolutely insane and I urge anyone reading this to watch some of this documentary: Link here

Yes, mostly. Been here 10 years. You have to be able to handle the dark rainy season. Portland, Salem and Eugene are the concentrated liberal areas with typical liberal city issues.
