Sure, a Sudanese tribesman can call his cousin in Saudi Arabia so he can explain to him why there’s no food coming to his village

good point, but I think their point was that in the past people stayed together longer, but at what cost? old-time marriages were romanticized, and the downsides were ignored (i.e. trapping people in abusive relationships). Those huge downsides were/are the reason people are choosing marriage less and divorce more. a large segment of American/western culture still pines for the days of old as a way to cast doubt on new relationship styles, and they need to ignore abusive relationships to make th…

I don’t believe anyone has gotten to the spirit of your question. Arrogance is human. In general, men are prone to forms like mansplaining and assuming the lead when they might not be best suited to lead that situation. On the other hand women (also in general) are more prone to forms like assuming it is their place to tell people when they’re wrong, not being deserving punishment (see Karen) and overestimating how interesting they are. In both male&female forma we have to hear ‘No! You’re wrong…

You can have a man with emotional intelligence or a man that can build you a house. Not both.

I couldn’t agree less. Skinny looks unhealthy and I get sick of “I can’t lift this, I can’t open this, I can’t do that”. Maybe it’s just personal preference but I would join crossfit just for the strong chicks

But you have the luxury of looking for someone that you’re compatible with. Most men are happy just to find someone to be with. You’re having a hard time picking out the best one while men are trying to just get one

As a guy, I avoid approaching women, that I’m not already having a conversation with, just to hit on them. This is because I have heard most of the women in my life talk about how much they hate the constant drain of having to field guys’ attempts at flirtation. On top of that, if a girl were giving me signals to approach her (assuming that they were blatant enough for me to pick up on) I would have a much easier time approaching a girl that I’m mildly interested in as opposed to ‘holy fuck she’…

Anecdotal, but, I (Hetero male) have several long term and/or long distance Hetero female friends. While many of them started from a brief interest in each other (sometimes one-sided), some were always platonic, and the one that I’m closest to hasn’t done more than kiss me a few times while drinking once

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
