False analogy. Suppose you start doing squats every day. I research all that and after 2 weeks and start squatting with all that knowledge (and optimal meal plans, etc.). When I have more experience, I review my methodology and attained results, refining it over time. After 6 months to a year, who's going to squat more?

I remember researching this a couple of years back, and the number of females murdered + females raped in brazil was still lower than the number of males murdered alone. While rape itself is not rampant at all, there is a serious issue with crime, which I suppose derives mostly from the numerous slums and hellholes. One curious thing is that inside most slums rape is actually prohibited by the crime lords (aka bigshot drug dealers) and the sentence is usually execution.

What was the reasoning behind changing the upvote icon to stars? The old icons were much more intuitive. I second /u/dmystery 's interpretation - you upvote redpill logic and downvote bluepill hamstering. Of course, this also applies to the front page and threads. The star design loses this sort of nuance, it's more like 'I'm upvoting because I like this'. It reminds me of a 'favorite' icon, and looks more like a regular subreddit rather than trp.
