There is always an unspoken goal or intention whether you articulate it or not. This is how you know you’re not experienced enough to speak on these things. Sit down and let the adults talk. It’s not a bad thing to catch feelings. But that shouldn’t be the objective. Again, why do we have so many failed and toxic relationships? Because people make the objective to catch feelings first, rather than prioritizing the right fit for them. The modern world pushes us to not think about it and get ahead…

It’s only false and unhelpful if you don’t understand my viewpoint. Your reply is riddled with assumptions…slow down. No, I’m not talking about traditional gender roles exclusively - though that’s certainly an option if both parties agree on it. A common goal can be anything: financial success, casual sex, good vibes, buying a house together. Communication and connection help get you there. Without a goal, all that communication and connection lack a purpose. I can prove this to you with more ex…

EDIT: u/plz_callme_swarley had a meltdown and deleted all his drivel, which the internet is much better off without. Weak minded men have no business giving their thoughts on a topic that many men (and women) struggle with in the modern age. If you can’t control yourself in online discourse, I doubt you can control yourself under pressure IRL. This is your wake up call. Grown up, buddy. —————— I’m not saying women don’t have agency. But the person in power is the leader. If you want to address m…

That’s a “buyer beware” attitude though. The mature, moral, and responsible thing to do is to walk away. Otherwise, you’re just using the other person. Regardless of gender, the non-attached person is the person with all the power. Sapping someone of their energy and resources knowing you won’t be able to return the love is cruel and irresponsible.

No bro, you preserved your self respect and it sounds like you handled yourself perfectly. Something very similar happened to me in the past. The woman I was vibing with worked for a client of mine. After a few weeks of flirting, I playfully teased her about something to do with work - nothing a well adjusted person would freak out about - and this woman lost her damn mind. I was surprised and I calmly told her I was just joking…but the damage had been done. I lost all attraction for her after t…

Brother, I know exactly how you feel. When I was your age I thought not having sex made me less of a man. Like my worth depended on losing my virginity or getting laid regularly. It’s a shitty feeling. First off, you said you couldn’t get hard with her because she wasn’t your type. That’s perfectly normal. Your body isn’t a robot that turns on just because there’s an opportunity - despite what the world wants you to think. Forcing it to “prove” something is why it didn’t work. Nothing wrong with…

100% agree about the dating versus relationship distinction. It’s amazing to me how silly some people can be when it comes to semantics. How is it not immediately obvious to some people that dating is the discovery process that potentially leads to a relationship. I say this with a tinge of bewilderment because I once got blown out in my younger days when I girl I was talking to didn’t understand the difference when I stated that we were dating. Still blows my mind how our society pumps out thes…

I’ve met women like this. If she is so easily offended by an innocuous term like “chicks” then you dodged a bullet. That’s the kind of person you end up walking on eggshells around. She’s likely neither fun nor playful. Next ❌

The studies I’ve seen about not smiling all revolve around around photos. Not smiling in photos might make you appear more masculine. Not smiling IRL might make you look like a psychopath.

It was an interesting question. I think people read something like that and imagine it as some evil, manipulative, narcissist trap. Seems the counter argument is to just go along for the ride and evaluate as you go along organically, and that if you have to ask if you really trust this person then you shouldn’t get married. I do agree with all of that, but I also think you shouldn’t be judged for asking a difficult and frankly novel question. It’s disappointing that people here are so fragile th…

Women test men all the time. Why are there people triggered in the comments for just the thought of a man testing a woman? 😂

I see some comments about ego and arrogance. Correct but that’s the superficial analysis. What’s actually happening is that taste is subjective and you are stepping into her boundaries and disrespecting her reality. Imagine your psyche as a house and someone steps into your house and starts trashing the place and tell you everything you decorated and furnished is “a complete joke and utter garbage”. That’s pretty much what you did when you took out after her music. And if you do that with someth…
