Some of these merit sources, but the majority are observable common-sense facts.

Misandrists love having a single catch-all term to marginalize men without having to actually articulate their imagined grievances.

There is a ubiquitous propaganda machine in the west, entertainment, media, and even education to constantly convince women that men are the source of all their problems and that women should hate them. Women, who are more susceptible to propaganda anyway, have simply responded as expected.

Before they start? The law is already slanted against men.

Yes, but only if women honor their roles in this structure.

What most people refer to as a "pay gap" is actually an earnings gap. Make that distinction as often as possible when discussing that issue, because the reality is that men are not paid more, they earn more by working more hours and more laborious/dangerous jobs.

Choosing a good man is not difficult. Nor is keeping him happy. Single mothers are capable of neither, except in the rare case that he is truly an undetectable sociopath or he dies.

"Women grew up reading The Handmaid's Tale, now they're living it." In what way are they living it?

The difference is that when men are lonely, they admit to it. When women are lonely, they lie to maintain the appearances of independence.

Conservatism may not appear to help men specifically, but real conservatism helps society at large, benefits everyone, and that extends to men. They problem with that is you need women to be on board and they aren't.

"Why do feminists not condemn and call out these kinds of actions from women towards men?" Because they hate men. Simple. They have been programmed by the media and academia to think that men are responsible for all their problems, which plays into their natural impulse to abandon accountability, and they believed it. Now they hate men and don't care what kind of negative actions go against us. In their minds, it's all justified because of "historical injustices."

Do not refer to an earnings gap as a pay gap.

Don't get it mixed up: caring about men's votes is not the same as caring about men.

"If male dating advice truly preached entitlement, they would say that we're perfect just the way we are, and that if women reject us that's their problem that they need to overcome." This is true, and ironic that messaging to women is often exactly that.

The dating scene has changed, it has degraded, and it is filled with hookup sex. The author is not complaining about that; if she were, she might be inclined to recognize her own contribution to the poor field. In fact, she echoes that it made her feel bitter for men to assume she does want a relationship. What the author is expressing is a desire for continue in that dating scene and to have the men that she encounters be completely complicit/supportive of her drive for indulgent hedonism. She …

I read this article earlier today and was utterly stunned at the moral bankruptcy and general idiocy in the author. This writer views men, relationships, and even her own marriage (which she states was an open one before the divorce...big surprise) as means for personal gratification only. She wishes to be queer so that she can be free of the burdens of responsibility in a relationship--the reason she does this is because she views responsibility and accountability not as things intrinsic to bei…

They are constantly fed images, media, and ideas that feed and inflate their delusions. Over the years they complain about men more and more while offering less and less. There's plenty to it, but that sums it up.

So if wearing something different would have prevented a rape for one reason or another, it doesn't matter, they should just wear what they would anyway? It's better that women are raped more as long as we don't encourage anything that could be interpreted as blaming them for it (even when it isn't)?

Women going out should do as much as they reasonably can to protect themselves from rape. When you drive a car, you wear a seat belt. You don't just expect not to be hit by a drunk driver because driving under the influence is wrong.

It's more likely that we live in a matriarchy that is indirectly enforced than a patriarchy that is directly enforced.

I've never seen any man "complain about it," but I have a lot of friends (early thirties) who are disappointed that they haven't been able to find anyone to settle down with, much more than I would have expected to at this age. So the effects of it are observable at least.

Statistics do not support this theory at all. OP specifically asked "I seek to get anecdotes here, as quite frankly I have a deep mistrust in social sciences when speaking in the context of gender debates." My anecdotal experience with marriage, for the people in my life, is overwhelmingly positive. More than half of marriages fail. And those are just the ones that were so bad they ended up in divorce. Tons and tons of marriages where people are still staying together for various reasons while b…

Yes! That is a risk. Part of choosing a good partner is forecasting how they will change and the circumstances that could influence that.

People have been getting married for the majority of human history. Across almost all eras and around the whole world, it's a pretty regular constant. My POV is not to mess with what works. Partnering up and having children together is repeatedly described by all involved as the most fulfilling thing one can do, usually by the people who have done it. I'm also 32, and I'm getting married later this year. I worry a little bit about closing the book on my bachelor life, restricting certain freedom…

Feminists have described gender roles as male-imposed oppression for a long time, which works as a way to portray men/masculinity in general as something that needs to be dismantled. In reality, the sexes are different, and gender roles evolved naturally to utilize these differences and maximize quality of life for the family. In fact, in many cases it is women, not men, who enforce these roles--not directly, as men enforce things, but through the exercise of soft power, which, again, makes it e…
