Maybe it's because I'm neurodivergent and find assumptions and norms quite hard to navigate, but I've always thought that within a relationship both parties are entitled to exactly what was agreed upon, and nothing more. You should be able to expect your partner to respect their promises and to care about your boundaries. You should expect each other to fulfill the agreed upon commitment. I personally don't expect anything from my partners as long as requests and agreements haven't been made. Re…

It is a dream of many to live in the west and marry rich, that's the American dream spreading worldwide. The living and working conditions in Ukraine before the war were already quite bad and it was already very much a goal of many Ukrainians to access the dream life in the west. To be fair, it's a shame that some people treated the war as a fortunate occasion for them to live that dream.

I'm sorry, I get where your frustration is coming from, but you do know that Ukrainian women are more often than not far from feminist, right? I sense that you don't know the culture well and are projecting the frustrations you have against the west's social movements. I'm not Ukrainian myself, but am surrounded by a community of Ukrainians who grief for their men and country. I'm not saying all Ukrainian women are well intentioned and rational, just pointing out how biased you seemed to me

I don't know about gender, but I know it's unacceptable regardless. Two of my boyfriends had similar discourses. One told me he was breaking up with me because he couldn't bear not feeling like a priority, I told him "this is what I'm able to offer you right now, if you're unhappy you should go". He was devastated that I didn't fight, thought that I'd try to prove to him that he's worth it by putting energy and time I didn't have into the relationship. With my other partner, it was more like a t…

I think your critique didn't need transphobia to be valid. You had no need to call this person a woman. "Man" and "woman" are terms that cover both cisgender people and transgender people. You can argue that this person doesn't know what being born a man and living your entire life as one is, that's true. But there is common masculine experiences that cis and trans men face too. I think it's valid for a ftm to talk about their experience and their realisations on the masculine identity and its p…

Feminists made women, make marriage, an abuse-system. To be precise, mariage is inherently oppressive. It is fundamentally an act of contraint and domination. The institution itself is an abusive system, and that either translates to men dominating it or women dominating it. I'm just trying to say that feminism didn't turn marriage into an abusive system, it used an abusive system and turned it to its advantage. That being said, this whole post is very well written, and I appreciate how clear an…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
