If your argument hinges on right of refusal to do service, then you and I 100% agree. This case would never have gone anywhere in court, and I think it's egregious a lawsuit was filed, but I also think the dude could have cut the woman's hair. What do you understand what a stylist even is? What the hell do you think being a "stylist" means? That they cut women's hair and only they can cut it? You're a fool. It's a professional designation. Barbers can and do cut women's hair. You are not required to be a stylist to touch women's hair. That's not how this works at all. You don't HAVE to have a hairdresser's degree to cut women's hair! You have to have a hairdressers degree TO SAY YOU'RE A HAIRDRESSER. Barbers can and do cut women's hair all the time. He was asked to trim a small section on her head with clippers. In what way is he not qualified? It's the same type of hair cut he always does, but on a woman. I have a feeling I'm going to be downvoted by the circle jerk here, but I just fail to see how this is such a big deal. My girlfriend has an undercut and she gets it trimmed at whatever barber is around all the time, and then goes to a stylist for her longer hair. Well, I would think in this case that the barber is actually more qualified. The girl just wanted her undercut trimmed. An undercut is buzzed, just like dude's hair. He wasn't asked to cut her long hair, he was just asked to run the clippers through her undercut. I think taking this to court is absolutely fucking ridiculous, but I can at least see why she was in a tiffy.
