I agree. I think that sexual relations are not something that we are very mindful and deliberate about in general. There seems to be very little said about the middle ground between burning with passion and being totally indifferent or repulsed. I think part of the issue is that men are not socialized or encouraged to talk about their feelings especially when there is the potential for their egos to be bruised. I believe that some of these men who don't feel desired might find out that they are actually far more desired than they think, but there are other issues impeding their sex life or desire that have nothing to do with the man at all (e.g. fatigue, hormonal issues from birth control, etc.)

You are 23. How many other aspects of your life do you really have figured out? And what are the consequences if it takes you a little more time? I was a late bloomer and in hindsight it saved me from accumulating a ton of relationship baggage. If a relationship is what you want, keep pursuing, but you have to be willing to learn from your mistakes and let BS and nonsense roll off of you like water off a duck's back. The right person won't fear your lack of experience. They will cherish it.

People have more agency but they confuse that with having more options. Additionally, for those who have more options, they have to make the optimal selection among those options, and people are kind of terrible at it for various reasons including personality traits and brain chemistry.

Divorce is the end result of the breakdown in a marriage. That could have been caused by the man, woman, or both. You shouldn't conflate the devolution of the marriage with the dissolution. If trash is stinking up your house, does it really matter who took it out?

I'm happily married at 33, but trust and believe I know a few good men who would shoot their shot if I were willing to give them the time of day. They have never overstepped any boundaries, nor are they holding some sort of unrequited love torch for me, but they have made it abundantly clear that if the circumstances were different they would be ready to stand in the gap.

I'm married to a skilled tradesman. He's been making six figures since he was 28 and has no student loan debt. The men would kill all the women (so many of them do this in non-hypothetical situations and it's disgusting) and then the men would kill each other and the last man standing would kill himself. When you are isolated nobody cares about your superiority. There is not a single man in existence who didn't eat of a woman's blood to sustain his life. Speak for yourself. A marriage between two healthy adults without sex is like a modern home without electricity. It's still habitable but if you had other options would you still live there? Sex facilitates bonding/dependency via the release of oxytocin and dopamine from physical touch and orgasm.

It's delusional. Why would a desirable 20-something-year old be checking for a man twice her age when she could find the same or better from a guy who hasn't "hit the wall"?
