5	advice from a barrister I can’t wrap my head around how a woman can according to the article have a drink or two, and then initiate, encourage, and consent to sexual activities, but then according to the law she is not in a state of being able to consent. Not only that, but seemingly when two intoxicated people have sex, only one of them is unable to give consent, and it's always the woman. Yes, that was exactly my sentiment. Someone hitting another person in the face without provocation should spend some time in the slammer to think about their behaviour. People tend to forget how easy it is to break something when you hit a person in the face. Both the guy on the bus and the abusive mother were lucky they didn't cause irreparable harm.
