A lot of women seem to think it's acceptable for them to describe anything even vaguely unmasculine as 'gay', but would find it unacceptable if a man said it.

Scrolled down the post where it is from the woman's perspective and the first YTA comment I saw had 27 upvotes. Whereas the top comment on the male perspective post is 'YTA and you know it' with over 3k upvotes. I always knew there was a bias but this is crazy.

Women in general fundamentally misunderstand male loneliness. Being able to receive empathy and support, from either friends or strangers, is something built into their worldview early on. Due to this misunderstanding they falsely equate men's problems of loneliness to female loneliness. Female loneliness is generally caused by anxiety or depression and can be fixed through therapy/medication, so they think that men's loneliness too can be fixed by this. To give some context as an Irish person, these exam results single-handedly determine which college/course you get into to. I think it's not a stretch to say that this bias directly resulted in less boys getting into college.
