I don't think you can "create" chemistry, but I also don't think chemistry is always something is instantly created out of thin air. I think the analogy to chemistry is because it's an interaction between two people, just like actual chemistry is an interaction between molecules and atoms. Each person influences the other. So I think if you wanted to try to find that chemistry, it involves finding that thing that attracts the two of you together. If you want to call that "creation or influence".…

No, I think confidence is universally attractive. Don't confuse confidence with excitement. The two are completely different from one another. You can be confident but boring, exciting, but not confident, boring and confident, or exciting and confident.

It's true, people are attracted to confidence. Life is a balance though. The whole murdering psycopathic maniac thing is a bit of a turn-off for most women.

I doubt they're quite that delusional. Could be they're just sporadic hookers that figure they might generate a little extra cash on the side. "gig work". Could be they're giving it out for free for some, and others they charge. Or maybe they're straight-up street walkers rather than the higher end "escort" type hookers, and the dating site thing is what they do when they're not street walking. It's definitely a weird way to run a prostitution business.

Sounds like they're pretty bad at being hookers, especially with snotty lines like "Nothin in life is free, I charge for sex" That's not exactly a cock hardening line.

Gotta give ya the rare downvote. OP is right. I don't care about hookers, but I DO care about people wasting my time. It's just basic dishonesty to be a hooker on a dating site. Gives a bad name to hookers, really.

I"d say it's baggage from the previous relationship, not guilt. She's separated. The marriage is over. The only difference between that and divorced is some legal baloney. I had a 10 year relationship with someone who was separated. She'd long since been over the marriage by the time I met her. Likely you just need to give her the time to get over her marriage.

You should have boundaries about who you have sex with. You should be physically attracted to them, they should treat you well, and you should enjoy the sex. Other than that, who cares? You said she has a great body. If age is the only factor here..... it doesn't matter.

Realistically there's women who come here wanting to learn seduction for men. Do you really find gay men are that much different than straight men as far as attraction goes? I doubt it. People are people.

That is rude. You can't somehow avoid being rude by saying it's not rude.

I think what makes you uncomfortable is you don't like the reversal of the power arrangement. She holds the power, and you're the young stud. If you can't get past that, it's not going to work. You can not care about what other people think, but you can't ignore what YOU think. Nobody else really gives a shit, if they do, fuck 'em. I dunno man, I think you're an idiot for giving up on seeing a world you might not otherwise see. She's got money, and you think she's interesting and educated. Settl…

Nuts. There's not one set of values people judge others with. Whatever you want to call improvement, it's not zero sum. In some crazy utopia where everyone is self actualized and in perfect health, the guy that's the bottom 1% is still likely an incredibly happy person.

Have you talked with her on the phone, or video to verify she's actually a 19F, and lives in your country? It's the internet, so trickery is always possible. But I see no red flags.

She's talking to herself, and hoping she'll listen. Most of the time... she doesn't. People who actually aren't going to have sex with you don't need to tell you that, because they believe it themselves.

Life isn't a porn video. If you want to her to be creeped out by you, leaving out condoms with "take yes or no" is a good way to do that.

Women aren't objects, but relationships ARE generally between two people. A 3rd person who's trying to enter into that relationship with her isn't "stealing" anything, but they certainly are an interloper. Don't let language interfere with what's very real, and part of human beings interactions for essentially forever. They aren't your friend, but they are your competition.

The boundary is her not using sex, or sex denial as a weapon, or a negotiation tactic. It's just that simple. If she violates the boundaries, she risks losing you. It's good that you've realized she's manipulating you. Now you need to tell her you know she's doing that, and have her stop. Using sex in this way is abusive. Sex should never be used by anyone to get what they want. That's a breach of trust.

You make a lot of assumptions. Libel is hard to prove, and requires a lot of investigation into the individuals involved. That means money. It's simply dishonest to claim he lost because the allegations are true.

Reading through your other posts, I have to agree with Reasonable_mail. He's kind of a dick about it, but he's right. Drop the guy. He sounds like a heel.

The lawsuit was dismissed because the guy didn't really provide enough evidence he even had a case, so the judge threw it out. Honestly, that's good. Nobody should have to prove that they didn't do something, hire expensive lawyers, etc. So the courts set a high enough bar to prevent these frivolous lawsuits. And the media isn't really well known for caring about anyone that won't make them money. "Alleged Jerk, not actually as bad as accusers say" isn't a story that attracts a lot of eyeballs. …

Thanks. Sounds like the judge never made any claims that the allegations were true, only that the guy suing couldn't provide evidence they were false. The judge found no evidence of conspiracy on the women's part and granted an Anti-SLAPP motion - which protects those who speak out on matters of public interest against abusive lawsuits made to silence them. So I don't agree with your statement that he "lost because the allegations were true". He lost because he didn't have a case, and the women …

And lost because what the women said about him was actually true. Citation needed. Lawsuits take years to resolve, and this is 3 months old. Best I can find is the guy was convicted of tax fraud, but there's no follow-ups on the lawsuit I could find.

Part of being an adult is being able to not care what mom and dad think. Sounds like you live with them, but unless they're gonna kick you out to the house for dating white women, that's their problem, not yours.

It's pretty clear to me that you came here for people to tell you to forget about it, otherwise you're only going to be hurt. And that's exactly what I'm going to tell you. The hardest person to admit this to is yourself. She couldn't be more clear. It sounds like she sees you as a friend. If you can accept that, leave it at that. She might be good for you as a friend. Try to go that way. We all need more of those.

But that added up to them being hungry is just a bomb about to explode. It is amazing how much a woman's stomach conditions her behaviour, even if she's the sweetest I've ever met. Sounds like you've discovered "hangry". It happens to men to. As someone who's often been hangry, I can tell you that the best option is B. It can still happen to me, but there's no way around feeling not hangry other than just getting food in me. It's not really anything personal, just how my brain works sometimes. Y…

Depends on how late she is. 20 minutes or under? Not a big deal. That's barely even late in my book. 30-45 minutes? Likely the range people start thinking about leaving, and figure ya got stood up. Needs serious explanation. Over 45 minutes? Just leave. She's not showing up. I was stood up a date. I put the ball in her court, and she never did want a date. (This was a first date). Never heard from her again. Not really worth giving it a second thought.

Catfishing normally means the person was trying to defraud you. i.e. "I need $1000 for surgery" or something like that, and often times isn't even a female, but a man pretending to be a female, purely online, not in person. Is that was she was doing? So I'm not sure what you mean by "catfishing" If she truly deceived you in some blatant way, you don't owe her a damn thing.

The less bandwidth in any sort of interaction, the more people make up. Text is obviously the worst. There's no tone, few words, and the need for quick interaction. Both of you are all in conscious control of everything you say. low bandwidth. But when you actually meet someone? You can't fake that. We al send out far, far, far more non-verbal information than we're ever consciously aware of. That's mostly what "chemistry" is about.

She's straight, but she'll be gay for 20 minutes to get off when she's horny and bored. It sucks, but there's not much here. Go find a real lesbian. This girl is using your for validation.

I dunno... the new girl is a lesbian, and wants to steal your GF away? Unless she's really religious, it seems odd she wants everything but penetration, AND wants to hang out with you and another woman. Her excuse of "saving herself" is a little weird. Maybe this is her way of having a relationship with a woman, while looking like she's still straight? My advice is don't look a gift horse in the mouth. i.e. don't be greedy. If you've got a sexual relationship with two women, don't push it. If sh…

This is an excellent point. Attraction is too often rationalized. It's anything but that.

Casual sex is about being attracted to someones body, and the way the other makes you feel physically. You're each exchanging physical pleasure with one another. Emotional connections are different, and related, and can enhance that physical pleasure, but it doesn't have to be the same as the physical pleasure.

The words "BPD" "covert narcissist" or any other clinical terms aren't swirling around in my head ever. It's more common than you might think. These don't really swirl around in my head either, and it's not the first thing that comes to mind... but quite honestly I _have_ known one female friend that was BPD (diagnosed and being treated), and one female friend that I swear had histrionic personality disorder. A couple years ago I realized my sister almost certainly has obsessive compulsive perso…

Could be something, could be nothing. You're not going to know until you actually MEET her. Text is just such low bandwidth you wind up imagining things and making up details about people out of your hopes and fears. It could easily be she's just not really good at texts.

Could be just a matter of how much he's currently into you. Example: I like to go out to movies. If a movie I sorta like, but it's a gamble, I might just go see it if it's playing at a theater that's a 5 minute drive away, see the flick, go home, done. If that same movie is playing 20 minutes away though....maybe not. It'd have to be something I really want to see to be worth driving 20 minutes each way. So a reluctance to take public transit, but wait until he has a car likely means he's not dy…

Exactly. The problem with modern interaction is all this stupid texting and apps, which conveys SOOOO little meaning. I'm 100% in agreement with you. It's time for her to fish or cut bait. Set a date, invite him over for movie night, and see if he bites.

Hmmm.. I don't think the real problem is the attraction, the real problem is the everything else. Attraction isn't, and can't sustain a relationship. When LTR's fail... there's usually a good reason for it that's not so easy to change.

Googling around it seems various surveys have found that 20% of men masturbate 4 or more times a week, and average is 3. So I think a lot of men are doing it more than you personally might expect. There's still this weird stigma that persists about masturbation. Years ago people used to seriously claim it caused insanity, or some sort of disorder. Also a lot of religious hangups. The whole "virility" thing is old wives tales as well. A lot of it is designed to sort of shame people over something…

They can come back, it's true. More likely than not they don't. If they do.... did either one actively rebuild something, or did the attraction exist all along? Who knows. Some questions have no answers. I've had one LTR come back, for a while, and another I know is over for good, and is never coming back, and that's a good thing for both of us. Even the one that came back didn't last. I just think it's easier to believe it'll never happen, and let it go than to hope for something that's... unli…

I agree with the consensus opinion. Rebuilding attraction once it's gone is a magic trick that few, if any can do. Attraction itself is a bit of magic. FInding it twice in the same person is like lightning striking twice. There's a reason why the attraction is gone, and odds are you're not going to change it.

I think it depends on frequency. If you're masturbating 8x a day for 4 months straight... sure, that might be a problem. Masturbation and porn can be a huge stress release in the right doses. I don't personally know what the "right dose" is, but I can tell you I do it perhaps 6-8 times a week. Not every day, but some especially stressful days it might be 2-3 times. Think of it like paying a video game. If you're doing nothing but video games for days straight... you may have a problem. But if yo…

This is exactly right. First thing I thought of when I read the post yesterday, i.e. "Hmmmm... doesn't seem worth risking a job over if word gets out somehow, which can always happen". Doesn't matter what actually happened. In this day and age, many employers will figure it's easier to just fire you if any sort of sexual contact happens no matter who initiated what.

You need to stop lying. It's not working for you. You need to provide SOME version of the truth about yourself. This is what most people do on a first date. They hide some aspect of themselves, but don't try to become some other person entirely. So try dialing down yourself a bit, and figure out socially acceptable ways to express who you are at 10% volume. I think a LOT of people feel isolated right now, with the pandemic, social media, etc, so that's maybe a good place to start where you'd get…

This. I started reading the sub about 10 years ago after I got over a LTR, and started dating again. The whole rating system, and hierarchical way of thinking always bugged me. Not because it was sexist or misogynistic, or and of that PC BS that's entered mainstream thought over the last several years. Some women are more attractive than others. Relating that value to your own entirely misses the point though. The reason it bugged me is because... it wasn't helpful, it emphasized all the wrong t…
