I imagine the 22yo had sex rather early? Do you think that influenced you at all? I suppose decently early depending how you view it, 3rd or 4th time we met. I wasn't pushing for the first date because I tend not to when I'm evaluating someone as a girlfriend. But she has prioritized long-term relationships and that's all she's had, so she fits the pattern that I value. If it turns out she's greatly omitted a lot of hookups/fwbs, then I'll just move on from her. I have 0 issue being cutthroat. W…

I think presumably better is a reach. It's been my observation that women and men differ in their understanding of this. Women will fuck you right away if you're attractive enough to them and they see you as short term. They tend to require more effort from guys they're not attracted to but maybe he has something to provide and she's interested in that. But they also require more effort from men who check every box. So if they meet men that they're highly attracted to but also are successful and…

Yeah it's very true, but peak shouldn't be miscontrued as "worthless" outside of those ages. It's just less. It's like when people get mad when you say something is overrated. Overrated doesn't indicate it's not quality, just it's perception is higher than it's real value. And with women they 100% peak in that range. I'm 34M and I generally prefer 21-27 because honestly at this point it's a drag if she can't go to the bar with me. I'm fine with 18+ but she'd have to be an exception. And I don't …

You’re fully ignoring the fact that men have more collagen, as I stated. That’s just a fact, so we have a better starting point. Men’s testosterone does not decline to any appreciable degree, and there was a larger study showing that adiposity and other comorbidities related to poor health were far more associated with low testosterone than age was. When you look at the general population, it makes sense. It declines slowly, but most of that is related to poor health. They’ve shown that by isola…

There are definitely men who get upset about women’s preferences, but I do not think men pathologize women the way women often pathologize the older man, younger woman dynamic. The clearest male version is probably height, where shorter men argue that it should not matter. Maybe that is logical, but logic is beside the point. Height is biological, and it matters whether people admit it or not. I know my life would be very different if I were not tall. I have seen firsthand how being very faciall…

I think you’re assuming he has a problem with that, when a lot of men, myself included, don’t. We just see it for what it is. I’ve dated as a younger man, and I’ve seen how women move, so I’m fully aware that women value money, status, and other advantages. What’s surprising is that many women seem unable to accept that men also have preferences, and instead want to pathologize them or frame them as morally wrong. Sure, some men get bitter about women pursuing richer guys, especially if they’re …

Women age faster in visible skin-related ways. Men biologically have more collagen in their skin, which helps it hold up better as collagen starts degrading at about 1% per year after age 25. There’s also research showing that once women reach menopause, skin aging accelerates sharply, with the rate increasing 2 to 3 times after that point. So when estrogen drops, skin aging really does fall off a cliff. This also makes sense from a biochemical perspective, since estrogen is one of the most impo…

Magnums are essentially the same size, it’s mostly marketing. It’s like a bit bigger in the middle and the head width. But it’s a misconception as well. Men who are very large are often getting custom condoms. It’s what I do. But generally condoms are long enough for everyone it’s girth that presents the issue that requires different condoms. No one is shaming your preference it’s just the math isn’t mathing. Like most of what you’re saying doesn’t add up to me so why would I agree with you?! Ju…

You’re moving the goalposts of your original comment. If you said just your husband, sure I could believe you. That’s not so weird. You said: “Most of my partners have been 8 inches or above” and “I often find guys in the 7-8 range. “ That’s entirely different. And why Im saying it’s statistically is a complete anomaly. Just making that statement alone is proof you have no concept of sizes.

What is? That they also have a big penis? Because no it’s not. Height and penis size have a weak correlation. Often having a correlation coefficient as low as 0.2 which you’d consider insignificant.

There's really no point arguing it, unless you're being obtuse that you specifically looked for the largest you could find in niche ways, then you dated these guys. It's the same as the posts in the r/tall subreddit where the guy is like: "I'm 6'1" and every guy in my university is 6'5"" We see these posts all the time but they're not representative of statistics. We know that's not true and they're being retarded. Avg penis size is like 5.5". Calcsd has the best aggregate of data. 7 is like top…

I mean that's great for you, I just don't believe you. I believe statistics. And I've been told I must be 9+ inches so many times when it's not true. I've heard this story how many times it's just expected. I do feel bad for guys who are insecure about this and it's always fixture in their lives. Usually that's where those that post these questions are coming from. And the general publics misunderstanding of avg size certainly doesn't help that insecurity.

It's because they're not. The phenomenon of girl inches over real statistics. Most pornstars aren't even over 8 inches, although a handful are. And they specifically select for that, you'd think they'd find more. It'd be an extreme anomaly to continually find guys 8 inches or more. I've heard women say this quite often and the guys were always smaller than me funnily enough when we then hooked up.

There are many reasons you may "perceive" it to be this way. One is that you're paying attention to the men with the most pull with women. A common mistake by almost every woman, you can be excused of that. The other is that men have ZERO incentive to communicate this preference publicly. While we're allowed to prefer it, modern society in at least as far as the one I grew up in publicly shames men when they express it. After dealing with that bullshit many times it's easier to say nothing. But …

I'll ask directly but it's a last resort because it's true it's not as effective as letting people reveal themselves when they feel safe. It's super rare a woman knows why I cut things off because of this. I get better information playing the game this way. I feel extremely young guys just haven't been through enough talking stages or relationships to understand that yet so they ask directly and too forcefully. The women can usually tell the subcommunicatiom and it pressures them to lie even mor…

Sorry but this whole comment is cope. I've rejected women for body count more than any other thing and it's not close. They don't exactly know that though. I just figure it out the majority of the time, and in certain cases I'll get them to open up about it after a few drinks and a non-judgmental vibe. Everyone is a lot looser with 4 cocktails. Women always assume I'm a fuckboi because I'm really hot and so I just don't correct that assumption. I've tried to in the past and they don't believe me…

The act of men begging women to date down is not proof leagues don't exist. Your logic doesn't work. It might if women didn't do the same, but they do. Exhibit A... Older women shaming men their age from dating younger women. I don't date women my age because I'm way above their league. It's just how it is. Leagues exist whether you like it or not. The truth of leagues is that within the leagues there is some subjectivity, having a type or preference can elevate someone or lower them. It's not a…

Yeah maybe you do. Glad to hear that 👏I'm more shocked by how prevalent it is rather than thinking it's every woman or group of women. I would have expected those kind of remarks to be something I heard once in a while from a delusional woman. But it really hasn't been. So I feel bad for the shorter guys because it's literally a dice roll. I've even been called short before by a woman who said it started at 6'5". But I'm 99% sure she was negging because I wasn't attracted to her. Perhaps I come …
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 09:15 PM

He's right imo. I'm 6'2". I can think of maybe 100+ women who actively trashed short men TO ME to gain my approval and it disgusts me. Maybe it's less to do with my height and more my face which is why they were acting so depraved. My face is what carries me the most. But yeah, this is just the last few years. I feel like women are being intentionally obtuse to not acknowledge this. But hey... I don't know what conversations you have amongst your female friends. I just know what women are doing …

She's not too old for men to take her seriously. I never even said anything close to that. In my first comment I said "it depends on the man". And then I even said there are women who are better options than younger women in certain cases. There are always men who want women. At 30, 40, 50, whatever. It just may not be the men the women are excited about. You're conflating my personal requirements with "all men". I do that because I can. I've dealt with thirsty women my whole life because of my …

I'm not sure what you're asking? I said I wouldn't start a new relationship with a woman over that age. If my existing relationship continued and she was over 27 then that is great. That's ideal.

Be loyal to her. I was in a 7 year relationship. Never had an issue being loyal and even giving her grace for gaining weight. Age matters more in the open market when we have no emotional ties or history. If I don't know you, your value to me is more of an objective trade. So if I'm starting a new relationship...I have my cutoff. It's all fair. Women have requirements for income, height, tons of things. It's just the way it's gonna be. It all depends on the man. I'm 34M and my cutoff is 27. Probably gonna keep it there when I'm 40+ tbh. But can I find examples of individual women who are hotter at 35 than 20? Absolutely. I believe "expire" is used as a straw man to avoid the reality that it's just that women's value decreases. In a dating context, I need to narrow down my options to the best for me. Women have extreme demands of what they want in a guy. And I happen to check like all of these shallow boxes that women put so mu…

I'm pretty wealthy... Make close to 500k a year in tech and high net worth. I'd be ready to provide no problem but I have to find a woman who is worth it. I've found the pool of women worthy of being provided for is incredibly low. Thankfully there is no pressure on me. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. My dad was a provider but he also got my mom at 19 with a low body count and she was committed to being faithful and a good mother. Many men would step up to provide in that situation. Are the…

Kids, age, body count are the the first filters. Past that it's really just judgments of her character if I think she's at that level and if she's close enough to me in looks. I don't expect women to be as attractive as me or I'd be looking forever. I know I need to compromise on that a little so I can broaden my pool.

There is some merit to people being chronically online. This is mostly a reddit thing. It's very easy to ignore and just live your life. I'm 34 and I date women in their early 20s for the most part. Don't even go on dates with women over like 27. It's never been an issue, maybe in part because I'm really hot. The only comments I've ever gotten that could be construed as negative were women in my friends group who were crushing on me. They all were late 20s to late 30s. I love them as friends but…

Yeah, this is what already happens. I only see 2 groups complain about it. Women who despite decades of wisdom are still delusional and men who can't seem to garner any interest no matter what they've tried. The latter group is definitely larger, but they're both vocal. I have sympathy, but it is what it is. You can't force attraction. I see a lot of women online say older women or high N-count women aren't filtered out and have this abundance of choice and I just don't know what the end goal of…

This is a perfect example of why older women warn young things away. You can, but it's stupid. There is no logic to that as younger women under let's say 27 are the ones I'd put real effort in. As I said, if you push harder men will push back with their actions, so it doesn't help anyone. But any woman who falls for the bullshit at 28, eh that’s on her. It seems like all of them do. I mean it's not like the older women can do anything about it anyway. Shame is their only play. It's also helpful to me that many of these women hold an opinion men are lustful, uncontrollable wild animals because it makes it that much easier to sell them the dream. They think they found a guy their age who wants a connection because he knows how to talk to them. He inquires about them as a person. He doesn't "seem" like a player and has restraint. No, he's just experienced enough to know what d…

Does this ever make you feel lonely or are you fine with it? Definitely was difficult to deal with at first, but I've built up resilience to it. It took years. It shouldn’t be too hard for you to find someone honestly, as long as you’re not a jerk. That's why it's hard, because everyone assumes it's not hard due to my looks, yet I experience 10 times greater avoidance behaviors and auto-rejections from women. Do you feel you’d be attracted to women who were less than an 8 if you were also less attractive yourself? Most definitely. I think it's subconscious. I also notice it when I see a woman say a guy is really hot and he's barely above average. Their baseline of what hot is vaires from mine, but I don't do it on purpose. It's relative to myself since I see myself every day. I'd imagine almost everyone is like that. but I was never interested in that since hookups aren’t my thing and I knew they cou…

Must be nice looking that good! I used to be extremely depressed about not being ultra-attractive, but I’ve made a certain level of peace with it You know, I can see why you would think that, but it is a lot more nuanced than that. Everyone has unique challenges. I wouldn't be depressed about it if I were you, just play the hand you're dealt the best you can. I'm 6'2". Penis size is a trap question because everyone lies about the number on the internet lol, but I'm like top 1% in penis size. Substantially large it's been a problem enough times and I need particular condoms, but not a sideshow freak. My standards are typically at least 10 years younger and a certain level of fitness. Yeah, and I get why women complain when a man negs them on a date. Shit is rude coming from anyone and screams insecurity, but as a guy who clearly stands out like a sore thumb everywhere I go, women don't like to tell you that many of them do this to men they realize they can't get. Not all, but I'd safely say like 60% of women do it to me on the first interaction. I'm going on a 2nd date with this girl soon, but when I first met her it was her and her friend. At the surface, I don't believe they sound too high. Especially since you clarified on looks. I have met a lot of women in their 30s with delusional expectations but this doesn't sound in that realm at all. Given you're being pretty strict on finances and slightly strict on height, you just have to relax your other standards in looks if you also want to find a man with solid character. But if you're more attractive than you say here, maybe it's not so bad. Like I'm 33M, I know from how I'm treat…

I'm 33M and women around my age who are my friends typically became my friends because I didn't pursue them and they didn't bother. 9 times out of 10 it's been actively assumed I'm dating much younger. To be fair, Macken Murphy is a simp. He interprets a lot of data with a female bias. You can even look at data on age gaps to find that like about 20% are where the man is 6+ years older and nearly 8% where the man is 10+ years older. 8% is not rare. That's as if you went outside in the city and saw a man who was 6'1" or taller. Definitely you'd consider that tall, but you wouldn't be shocked to see it or even categorize it in your head as a rare event. There's little logic applied there because…

"It all equalizes because it has to". It's logic. The trait that gives value affects demand. If that trait is taken away, then it lowers demand. Why would a 18 year old attractive barista have a ton of dating options compared to an 18 year old looks-equivalent man? Because we don't have dating value in the same way. You can't get gain value from your youth/fertility and then when that fades still have the same fucking demand you had before. Like I said, man. It's really not complicated. It's lik…

All prices are determined by supply & demand. Yes, you're exactly right. And the demand for older women is much lower. Do those women just die to you? They still exist, you know? It all equalizes because it has to. There is no other way since the aspects that give women the power to be selective also punish them more harshly later in life. If women;s youth and fertility didn't matter as much, they could "want" to be selective at 21 but it wouldn't make a difference. The issue is it does matter, …

I receive shocked looks, double takes, weird stares on the daily. But my point is that it's a contradiction to women just infinitely being able to find better men. It's only a gendered issue if you consider women 18-29 or maybe even more specifically 18-25. If the rest of them don't exist...then yeah you're right, it's remarkably skewed. The fact is there are men and women all along the spectrum of desirability. It's merely that a larger percentage of women get to experience that abundance up front in their life as it's given to them. Men all have different ceilings, but could have some semblance of their own options given what they do to improve their sit…

A lot of the older men that are attracted to younger women are either so good looking they can pull women 10-20 years their junior or they are “low-value” creeps who can’t even pull a woman their age but just want someone they can take advantage of. By intentional I am implying "not promiscuous". I didn't need to be so verbose. Simply ....age and body count matter. The higher each number goes the more it hurts your value to men. So yeah, the 30+ women who is a late bloomer isn't completely fucked. But yeah, looks are a huge factor too. I would say men care more about age than women think though. Men and women are different. I have little interest in committing to a women my age if she has little that's special to give me. A woman who has slept around is not a prize. Sure, most men. But that goes for most people who are average. Attractive men, no. Like I'm 33 and I don't even fuck with women over 27. I can't imagine when I'll start. Maybe when I'm mid 40s 🤷. I recognize I'm a huge outlier though otherwise I would probably have a different mindset and be naturally interested in women my age. But I meet women my age every week and it's like the lights are off. No attraction and I treat them as friends. But to your original point, late bloomer women are still …

This is pretty straightforward since you picked extremes. You don't say how young A is, but let's just assume fresh out of college 21-24. For B, you said "approaching menopause" and I believe the avg age for that is early 50s, sometimes before. Pursue something casual with A if she's attractive, ignore B. In most cases, I think a woman who is more like B is more appealing even if she's a bit older. So like a 30 year old woman who has amazing qualities would be a better choice than a boss babe wh…

This is just normal social intelligence. You should be doing this already. I do this with older women, single mothers, promiscuous women too. But I never treat anyone poorly. But for example, I just hooked up for a 2nd time in a week with this girl who is my age (33). She's really attractive to me and we have instant natural chemistry. My treatment of her reflects the fact I find her attractive and enjoy hanging with her. But she's also over 30, so as long as things stay where they are I can enj…

I don't know what there is to see. You don't see lack of pursuit. You just think people are being platonic, which they are. I went out to a friend's birthday a couple weeks ago. She's 37. I'm 32 (tall, very attractive, something something Chad)...she told me about all her single friends. 2 of them were pretty cute, one was 28 and the other 30. I had a lot of fun, everyone vibed with each other. The prettiest one was the 28 year old and she was hanging off me all night. I could tell she wanted me…

Yeah I had to work fucking hard to get here. I know that's true for you too because that industry spits people out. My brother made it to the top of big law. It was nice to have him around me as he could share in my struggle. Where we're both at now, I can say it was worth it. But hey man, career-wise you're still just getting started. Keep your health, your youth, and work hard. The career will continue to develop. 29 is already young for that kind of success.

As women consider me near a 10, I don't think anyone is but that's semantics... You're 100% spot on. I actually did a bit better with women when I was less attractive for a time (just overweight for a bit). Being extremely attractive is intimidating for the vast majority of women. Most can't handle it or even speak to you properly which the number 1 hindrance to fucking flirting with them. Then there is a sizeable portion of pretty women who need to be the beauty object and don't like that you r…

For sure, I know a couple men like that as well that you wouldn't expect off first appearances. I feel you must have figured that vibe with women earlier than most guys. It's really just being easy-going, no trace of nervousness, eye contact, and avoid communicating logically. That's 95% of it. I'm low key proud of how far my game has come, but if I'm honest it's probably only decent now. Hmm...when I put: not married no children any race 18 to 27 between 4'11" and 6'2" not overweight earning at least 25k I get 5.03% of women. 1 in fucking 20. That's extremely reasonable considering I'm 6'2", make almost 400k, very attractive, muscular, 6-pack, large penis, what have you. All those things together I'm much rarer than a pretty girl. I honestly feel I'm being generous. Many guys just ask for a few of those, and it's not unreasonable given they have something to offer.

It's not as one-sided as you present it. You're only looking for that. But you are correct that tons of men act like this, and it's bitterness. I'm totally fine with a woman choosing the single life long-term, if she truly wants it. It's merely that many times people lie to themselves. But it's not my call, I'd only ask further if it was a family member to make sure that's the route they wanted to take. You don't see the other side with women because you're 19. I'm 32, and I have a lot of female…

I mean what is the point of this post? Ok...many are still acting the same. I agree, but you have this weird tone like it's a win. They're free to act how they like and accept the consequences, but they don't have the leverage to actually accomplish it. The kind of woman who looked after herself in her twenties will only get better at it as they get into their thirties with more maturity and money Better in maturity and money, but neither of those increases their attractiveness to men. Older women (especially 45+) have the highest rates of SSRI use, but they're REALLY HAPPY guys /s. They're living their best lives, as is the common refrain. First of all, I don't care and I'm not invested in the idea that women must be flawed if they don't want to get married or have children. I know in conservative circles you tend to hear that, but I believe in some cases there are women who want that life. But studies on happiness are flawed from the outset. I think we should draw the distinction between what men are able to and what they should do. I am certainly capable of stepping out on a girlfriend or wife, but I never have. I choose not to because it's against my code of ethics. I feel like this distinction is mentioned because many men aren't even capable of doing this if they wanted to. For women, every woman easily could so it's not given special attention. When it's mentioned for HVM, it's more meant to say you should not be surprised if m…

(I guess I’d be called a “bitter old woman” when that happens huh?) Well yeah because the most bitter men in turn call women bitter. I think it's a perfectly valid preference for you to have. In my experience the reality is somewhere much in the middle, women act as if it's a strong preference for ALL women, and then there are men who have never developed themselves think they're better by virtue of being 40 or 50. This conversation is always weird to me because women date absolute schlubs pretty often, yet they'll wax poetic about their inability to be attracted to someone more than a few years older. It's odd. I'm 32, very much have a model-tier attractive face, 6'2", jacked....If anything dating was 10 times easier when I was tall, average weight, and reasonably hot. required how? what happens if you don't adopt those behaviors? I don't get dates. Years of experience dating women. I don't look the part of the guy who can play a different game. i'm not really sure from reading this what you want women to do? Not act insecure all the time when I show genuine interest. if a woman is with a man who treats her poorly but won't let her break up with him (emotional guilt trips, suddenly hes love bombing again) is it bc she pursued someone who is too hot for her and so she brought it on herself? or is the guy acting immorally? Which men? Men who feel like they are invisible and have no chance? Probably. But they don't realize women are already doing this. That's why I say it's a misconception. Most women know their league and are wary of men too attractive for them. But good luck convincing average looking men of that. They see the attention I get in person and assume that means women follow through. They often fumble it or don't want the fantasy to become a reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/24 05:37 PM

Yeah that's a misconception from below average to avg looking men, because men like me get way more attention publicly or they're privy to hearing women talk about how hot a guy is. In reality, women auto-reject all the time unless they're super promiscuous or in that phase and just want to use me as a walking dildo. And most men are wrong that all women are sluts like that. In my experience, women have a strong protection mechanism against getting "pump and dumped", which men simply don't have …

Women especially don't like men who are more facially attractive than them I've found, especially when they work so hard on their makeup. I've filtered out so many women that are late 20s-early 30s at this point it's like the exception when I don't. Men don't communicate their rejection like this overtly. Only one of my friends knows. OK, so you didn't disagree with me earlier that it's the relative nature of the comments. But it's not helpful to say she's not fat either. They can both be true. She's fat, the men are fat. They shouldn't be so harsh given their level of fitness. Doesn't change reality for that girl. Women don't like to tell their friends they are fat though. My cousin is going through this with 2 of her best friends who are both struggling with their weight.

Once again, your own source disproves it. 8% is not a negligible fraction, and we're talking about fucking 10+ too, which you guys are saying almost never happens. This article also says that around 1% are 28 years or more. That is shockingly high to me even. I assumed 28+ year gaps would be like 0.001% or something based on the rhetoric about it. Umm no it's not. You trying to manifest it or something?! I really don't get these arguments with no basis. Are you actually insane or just stupid? Let's say hypothetically men only selected on age, and not physical attractiveness or anything else. Just for the sake of argument. The top 8% men would be dating younger. Being a top 8% man isn't difficult. But in reality, selecting a person to date is far more complicated than that and we select on all sorts of criteria. But even when looking at it…

Uhh what? That's not even relevant. If you scored 65% on a test you'd be panicking too because you'd get a D in the class and have to change your major. And 65% is the rest of the cohort where it's supposedly normal in your case. Grading isn't relevant to proportionality in this case because grades operate off a strict set of criteria, which is aribitrary based on what is a "passing grade". 60 could be passing. 90 could be passing. We're discussing rarity, so a PORTION of the population. A slice…

8% is not rare, and in statistics you wouldn't even designate it as so. You're defeating your own argument. For comparison since height is immediately obvious on first glance and is normally distributed, top 8% in height percentile is like 6'1". Are you shocked when go outside and see men who are 6'1" or taller? No. Is it the so common that it's the majority? Also no. But it's really not shocking or difficult to find. Men lie up and have zero incentive to ever lie downwards. Women have zero incentive to lie upwards, probably a bit stronger incentive to care about body count then men. So why would it not be the midpoint of the 2 reported numbers, but skew towards the higher number. If it's 4 for women and 6 for men, it'd be closer to 6 on the assumption a larger portion of women have incentive to lie than men. I don't agree if you're trying to say it carries the most weight. I think it's the most universal dealbreaker. That would be a better way to put it. So if the height threshold isn't met, then compared to almost any other attribute it will be a dealbreaker to the largest percentage of women. Past the threshold though, it doesn't carry more weight than face and I can't be convinced otherwise. I'm 6'2" and very attractive facially.
