They only pretend to be nice as a means to an end. Then they show their true colors. They will seem polite and decent but only for a purpose.

Yeah, exactly. You don’t really have to have all that but a lot of these men out here just want some one-sided toxic trash of a relationship or just some casual thing or one night stand and a lot of women don’t want that, especially when it comes to the one-sided thing because who would want that? The men who think like this need to recognize that women often don’t want these types of relationships that they are trying to offer/coerce us into for good reasons. I’m not saying there aren’t women w…

I don’t see where men are being told that while women are being told the opposite. Women have historically been socialized to bend over backwards for men. Idk where you get this idea that it’s the men who are being expected to do that.

It also doesn’t mean that they are willing to have casual sex or some type of casual relationship with you if that’s not what they’re looking for.

Well the thing is, even if you’re nice, it doesn’t automatically mean you’re attractive to that specific person. You have to be nice and what the person is looking for otherwise. Sometimes there just isn’t the attraction regardless and it’s nothing personal.

High school girls aren’t women but okay. Also, people who are raised as girls are also raised under misogynist and oppressive socialization, meaning they are being primed to be abused as they grow up, hence picking abusive types.

What does looking down on rape of women more than looking down on rape of men have to do with anything and how does that prove that there is no rape culture? That proves nothing

It definitely normalizes that and a culture is more relative than what you are trying to make it with this post. It’s not necessarily something you measure with facts and figures, although they can help.

I don’t need to read it to know that it’s a bunch of ignorant, biased and misogynist crap which is all that happens in this sub anyway.

Maybe before you talk about rape culture like you have an in-depth knowledge of the meaning of the term, you should obtain some knowledge of what the term actually refers to instead of just making assumptions about the two words at face value because that’s clearly what people who don’t think we live in a rape culture are doing. If not, then it’s your male privilege preventing you from seeing it. It would also behoove you to learn what is a culture because these kinds of critiques make it clear …

Not on men but on patriarchy as a whole. Patriarchy isn’t synonymous with “men”
/r/MensRights07/06/21 02:49 PM

because patriarchy prefers that women don’t work but if they do work, only “women’s work” careers are acceptable
/r/MensRights07/06/21 02:47 PM

Men created patriarchy. Men started this idea that women are only suited for certain jobs. Patriarchy is the problem. End of story.

You’re referring to one person only?

Patriarchy has pushed women into teaching because of gendered stereotypes that women are better at “women’s work” jobs such as caring careers and working with children. It’s just another toxic aspect of the patriarchy. Women are discouraged and kept out of other jobs systemically and otherwise and funneled into these types of careers whether they have the aptitude or personality for them or not just because they are female.

Only someone who doesn’t understand what rape culture is would post something like this.
/r/MensRights07/06/21 02:35 PM

Yeah. This is a gender issue that feminists actually recognize as part of the problem with the patriarchy, lol
/r/MensRights07/06/21 02:26 PM

because female on male rape just isn’t the same and doesn’t happen as often, statistically. Also, patriarchy/toxic masculinity and men are the main perpetrators of the lack of seriousness taken with rape against men, not feminists

No it doesn’t

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
