For arguments sake let's say your half of the house is £100. You need £5 to buy everything you need, she buys you out for your half at £55.

If a woman's been to see her attorney and come back with the impression you'd both be better off mediating sorting things out yourselves. You have to ask what did the attorney say would happen that she didn't like the sound of? Lawyer up because mediating only benefits one of you in this scenario

Child maintenance needs to be a one size fits all amount based on a percentage of a man's full time salary if he's on minimum wage. Basic essentials a kid needs don't cost a different amount depending on how much their father earns. The only differentials should be the amount of time a man has the children..i.e 50/50 no support. If you don't see them at all, highest amount possible etc

Says "I" a whole lot for somebody with a family. That's my only take away the selfishness of it all. The year for a better life,.but not for everyone just her.

Exactly this.. She also gets the added bonus of making sure your weekends aren't free because that'll be your only time with the kids.

Admittedly I only read the title but the first thing that popped into my head was John Travolta in Pulp Fiction telling Jules "you give him that money and I'll shoot him out of God damned principle."

Call me pathetic if you want, but at least I’ll be able to look my daughter in her face in 10 years and not lie when I say I was willing to do anything necessary to give her the life she deserved. This right here. It isn't right for everyone, but for some it is. Pathetic is too strong of a word to use. But the sentiment is unfortunately correct. If there's one of you that does what you're doing, it can't be called a failed marriage. One of you stayed true to your vows. It's dignified if nothing …

Difficult one. I couldn't ever trust her again. Her family shown their true colours I couldn't willingly spend time with them. I'm pretty certain she'd feel the same way about some of my family too. We're amicable now but it wasn't always that way. She's gorgeous objectively there's no getting away from that but I couldn't ever trust her again so it'd be doomed to fail really. I'd be lying if I said I wish the split never happened though.

Just run that seventh commandment by me again? 13 times? Why are you even kidding yourself into believing you love this woman? It's great you want to better yourself and all the best with it, seriously. Don't see how you could have the cheek to ask for forgiveness from your wife for this and I'm 99.9% sure I know the answer. You do too.

You're correct with your last statement. The key is trust. They'll never trust each other. If he can do that to his wife of 10 years he can do it to your friend. Besides, he'll never trust your friend because he knows she doesn't view married men as off limits. Your friend wont listen to you if you forewarn her of this just don't be too quick to say "i told you so" when it goes down the pan.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
