| 1 | “Movie critic” Redditor offers apologetics for the woman who ruined Forrest Gump’s lifeI read everything she wrote and she isn’t wrong. This was a story, not real people. The difference in characters was intentional to create contrast. | /r/MensRights | 20/10/24 12:01 AM |
| 1 | Just a question.Just to follow up with the story. Most states actually do release you from child support if you give up parental rights. Virginia is an exception. She moved to Virginia and requested child support. Under Virginia law you are still required to pay child support even when you have given up parental rights. However, it does give him the opportunity to request his rights back since he has to pay child support. | /r/MensRights | 19/08/24 12:16 PM |
| 4 | Just a question. It was a voluntary termination of rights at the request of the mother. She didn’t want him in her or the baby’s life. Then 6 years later she shows back up and requests child support. | /r/MensRights | 19/08/24 01:53 AM |
