Exactly. For me, t he first time someone uttered the "women are tired of doing the emotional labour" line in person was on a date. I asked her to explain what she means but she couldn't provide any detail or come up with concrete examples. If you can't explain the concept, why should/how do I take it seriously?

"The broad discipline of psychology is failing men, not the other way around." Exactly. Some of the current findings coming out of the field is creating harmful narratives that form the foundation/basis for current and future research. This is scary for me.

I agree with you that educating men about those topics could be approached from a different angle. The main issue is this topic and others are usually contextualised around feminism. So the discussions are often intertwined with feminism.

I don't think its about collecting grievance as much as educating men (and for me personally, not feeling gaslighted). A personal story. A close friend committed suicide a few months ago. When I discuss the suicide with other friends (especially women - and I say this not to single out women in a bad way and will get to this point later), the narrative I keep hearing is men don't talk about their struggles.
