The marriage later became sexually abusive which resulted in my daughter. When she was kind at times, I actually thought I'd died and went to heaven. Then the abuse would start again. The physicians at this hospital do not get their own consents, they have nurses write it up and they just sign. In the ER at that hospital, they expected us to write orders for EMS transports. The hospital refused to hear my objections and only listened to her. I was allowed no say. She covered her ears with her pillow when it happened. This was in the late 2010's. It still sickens me. 1	Has anyone else here had certain medical concerns brushed off by female medical staff? I have definitely seen a lot of man hating in healthcare, for sure. I’ve also seen this exact scenario MANY times and it has had nothing to do with gender and everything to do with laziness. 7	Has anyone else here had certain medical concerns brushed off by female medical staff? I’m a nurse (male) and think this isn’t a male/female issue, but a bad nurse issue. I’ve known male and female nurses who would have taken your concerns seriously, and I’ve seen the opposite for male and female. I think the problem is women generally get a lot of options to see female providers if possible and men aren’t really given the same offer. 2	Does patriarchy really exist in the past ? I’d say in the Middle East today in certain countries like Iran, yes, there is. It’s definitely not common place, and they are certainly highly restrictive for men too, but women do suffer more in those countries. I’d dare to say any of us would look at that and say it’s completely unfair because we don’t want either sex to suffer. 3	What was a time that you, as a man, experienced sexism or misandry? I’m a nurse, so I work predominantly with women. I deal with a lot of sexual harassment, even comments about sexual performance from high up individuals (career suicide to report). Lots of inappropriate touching, including my genital area.
