15 years is a long time but you have each day to rebuild and recover on your terms!! Do you go to concerts? Great way to meet ppl and hear some killer tunes!! What’s your support system look like with childcare?

Some days will be easier and there will the hard ones that you just had to bear. Those types of situations made me physically ill. The emotional pain was awful as you know. But we love you man! You have endured enough and need to stay positive. The worst in ppl can trigger sickness in others- perfect example of the graduation. Keep showing up! You and your son will always be blood and your love will get you up in morning and keep on fighting!! What are you doing for your health and self care?

You will too… find the happiness you deserve. Women are so different than guys. Especially a woman how is “starting over” or “moving on”. Guys need time to marinate

That’s great and routine becomes habit. Father’s Day should be bigger than Christmas. We deserve it

Don’t apologize for a “novel” we’re all patient ppl in some regard bc we have experience in this department. My wife and I had hit some really really rough times and were separated for over a year. Other things of course happened but for this story let’s stay on track for YOU. You matter mate! Your family matters! Your child is your own and that will never ever change. The feelings you have are real and the worries snowball. WE have been there too. This world can make or break us. But the one th…

So we had a good conversation on Saturday. We decided to hold off on legal paperwork. She is still moving to the next town over. Sounds like she is open to trying but will need some time to herself. In the meantime I was working with my therapist and psychiatrist to balance meds and root issues. My goal is better myself and work through anxiety issues. There’s still much work that needs to be done. Separation boundaries and a time line hopefully for marriage counseling.

Thanks I appreciate the advice. Her and I were supposed to talk tonight but no call or text. Pretty shitty actually when I was hoping to introduce the idea of trying for couples counseling. Some days I feel like it’s a good idea to be open to the idea of rebuilding. After tonight I feel sick, hurt, and anxiety. Everyone says divorce is the hardest but you don’t know until you go through it.

I’m in the same boat now going back and forth in my head. My last step is to try martial counseling. Maybe this will help.. it’s a decision that I won’t regret.

Ruben. We’re all here for you. Life is a gift. You’re important and you have to LIVE. I’m heading into week 7 of not seeing my STBX. I’m still in love with her and know I can’t be married to her. Try to get into some meetings. Men’s groups. Meetup.com is for people looking to go fishing or frisbee golf or other hobbies. You can only go up from here.

I’m trying to take the high road and talk to people that I can trust. This close circle has seen the things that my spouse has done and their opinions are already jaded.

I am going through week 3 of not being with my spouse. I am taking it day by day. I see a therapist and do acupuncture for myself. I started this before the dissolution lawyer meetings. I almost feel paranoid that everything I do or say will be used against me. I only want what’s best for everyone, especially the kids.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
