I think he’s just saying it’s a volume issue and rejection takes a toll on everyone.

Being nice is nice. Using gender stereotypes for what you think being nice means is less than effective and potentially negative when you can’t immediately observe the need such as a significant visual difference indicating amount of likely physical strength.

Yeah this is great. I was going to comment that men who had a sister closer in age seem to me to be better at male female romantic relationships that I’ve been in.

Not unlucky… I realized I relate to others with emotional problems and chose partners I bonded with because we understood one another. I’ve gotten well myself because I did the work. 30 years of therapy talking did nothing. Ultimately DBT actually trained me to fix the problems. Unfortunately my exes didn’t get well and I had to move on.

Oh yeah I’m well aware. I’ve got emotional issues and relate to others with similar issues. It’s like wow, they totally “get” me. I continue to improve myself and have gotten well. They did not. Hence why they are exes.

I agree it’s not always predatory but it is a valid preference even if I don’t agree that college age women are most attractive. They look like children to me (mid 40s) and that’s absolutely repulsive to even consider dating.

There’s something to this advice tho. You have a chance to show you’re a fun interesting person right there that night and increase chances of getting a text the next day. Be a gentleman about it, give non creepy compliments, maybe even text her that night.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/22 12:18 AM

Prefer someone with enough experience to know what they want, be comfortable with themselves, whatever their number is, and to have had as many good experiences in life as they want to have.

I appreciate you communicating this. Comments like these have made me really think about how I can support my male friends and relatives. Nice shirt, good work, or anything I see someone put effort into is worth telling them you noticed! It makes me see and think about peoples good qualities immediately where complimenting becomes super natural and normalized for me, which in turn I think helps me feel happier too.

This is really important. Keep doing it and keep promoting to others. All genders can support one another this way, but a lot of men report this deficit. I’m trying to be more proactive and I feel like it’s appreciated so much.

Right back at ya for sharing honestly. I’ve learned here about how men almost never get compliments like not even the smallest thing. You are bashed all the time and blamed for everything wrong with the world just for having been in charge for a while because that’s the time and culture you are stuck living in. And dude, you immediately can see another perspective so you’re a good dude. People like you who have shared their feelings have made me a better person from learning your perspectives.

That’s exactly what imaginary means. Just because many people believe something exists doesn’t make it real.

I’m sorry this happens to you and many other men. I’m a woman and I’ve done that stuff. I can tell you that I was sick of being hit on and harassed and took it out on probably some kind, respectful dudes. I remember one time just getting gross disgusting gestures and comments while waiting for the bus and then on the bus from different men and I lashed out at the next guy to even look at me AND continued being mostly hostile to men long after that day. When you do stand up to it or fight back, i…

Which is imaginary. We all agree that it’s legal which makes it “real”. Like there’s no actual borders to countries, we just all agree that there’s a line and abide by it. Oh boy this is over everyone’s heads now I fear.

It’s still that bad huh? The 13 year olds on Reddit have even worse self esteem than my generation of women did.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 02:33 AM

Ummm no. Parents are married, still very happily together. Some immigrants although not sure what you’re judging me on exactly. I realize I’m probably responding to a 13 year old bc this is Reddit. Trust me hon, you don’t need someone else to make you valid. I hope you find your inner worth someday and don’t have to lash out when that’s challenged.

Why would I be angry? You’ll realize it yourself eventually hopefully. Just tryna help
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/22 02:00 AM

Wow. I cannot believe how many women have no self worth and need an imaginary social construct to give them validation.

Jfc where do you people get your self worth? 100% from other people’s judgements? Worthy of what? You’re not worthy just as yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/22 11:36 AM

So you need marriage for validation? Proof to someone (yourself) of your value? You need a therapist not a husband.

Hell. No. I never wanted to have kids because I have depression that runs in my family. I wouldn’t do that to someone. Never felt pressure to have kids. In fact, I felt the opposite when my parents would say “we ain’t babysitting”. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything but I do tend to mother my younger coworkers and honestly really enjoy that. “Kids” in their early 20s with their first job out of college need a work mom to transition them…and bring them toast and Gatorade in fake meetings …

I think I just start noticing other men as hot when I’m nearing the end of a relationship as part of the realization. Not consciously seeking a new man but more like I start to fantasize about being rid of the old one. Edit: changed “a start” to “I start” in the second sentence. Typo.

Through work is easiest because that’s where I always am as long as it’s not a conflict or a problem of potentially working too close together. Don’t shit where you eat but when it’s a huge company, there’s just a supply of dates there esp if you like work to begin with and find someone else who understands and you can talk shop with.

Are you fucking kidding me? I’m in the 3% of women who had to pay alimony to my ex husband? And his family IS rich. I worked and had a good career and he sat on his ass, wouldn’t keep a job and just whined so I left him. Then I had to pay HIM $2000 a month!

You probably seem smarter, wiser, and tougher in at least a few respects than most people by a significant margin. Whether it’s true or not is always relative but that’s what you project maybe from some hard life experiences.

Advice to introverted men: nothing wrong with you but needy, insecure women are gonna be way worse if they don’t understand you. Educate them and make it a point to casually, proactively reassure. It might be annoying to have to do so but you’re buying yourself peace.

Doesn’t sound like you’re really asking about age. You have and want to continue to let yourself go and want validation.

I’ve had basic friendliness be misinterpreted a lot of times and it is sad because I don’t want to be a bitch to people and it’s sad so many women are not even polite because of too many bad experiences.

I’ve had some more thoughts and interested in your feedback. Me as a person is never going to be a net positive on the world. I am 100% certain I’m never going to change enough of my life to actually be just one symbiotic organism with “the world” meaning general life on earth other than humans. I think that’s true for most humans in existence. We will all mostly be destroying the world. So yeah that’s a reason I didn’t have babies but I am interested in how it’s possible to not just give up com…

You really like the fancy worlds, huh? I would not say I’m frustrated. I’m tired and generally sad, if anything. Don’t project, you can’t read minds. That creates more things for someone to argue back besides the point…but I’m not sure what your point is? Are you trying to convince me to have kids? My eggs are raisins now so no point in that. Are you arguing with me that I should be an optimist? That I should do nothing else but work on “saving” the world? For whom? Humans? Yuck. Humans suck. I’…

Yeah I agree-I should clarify, I definitely don’t expect a man to pay for a date. I just think even with equal pay, bs things like the pink tax makes us unequal. I don’t even know if there’s a real impact to that, though. Like maybe I only have $10 more in expenses on average than my boyfriend. My point is that a date is gonna cost me money even if he pays for the actual date. And that definitely is my choice but I don’t know if I’d get dates at all looking like an old hag with silver hair. I do…

As a woman earning what I think is a really good living, I’m on the fence about this. I completely agree that if we want to be equal, then we should not expect a man to pay for dates…my only problem with it is that it costs a shit ton to beautify - and I’m very thrifty that way but it’s still a significant expense that I don’t think men have as much of. I think it’s important to work on keeping oneself attractive but yes that is my choice to dye my roots so I don’t have silver hair but that cost…

Maybe for spouses rights like being able to see or stay with them in the hospital? Idk if that’s still a thing but you used to only be allowed in to see people in some situations if you were immediate family and girlfriend or boyfriend wasn’t considered family, you had to be married

Lighthearted sexual banter once you’ve established yourself as interested in her as a whole person. Non sexual compliments go a long way too. Telling her she’s beautiful vs hot for example would more easily butter me (f,45) up and give me butterflies to make me start to think about you in more physical / sexy sense. You can say you’d like to spend time with her instead of saying “hang out”. I’d take “hang out” as just wants to bang but spend time with means at least you’ll talk to me before and …

As in attractiveness range? Is it relevant that we are in about the same range tho? I wouldn’t date someone not hot to me, job or no job.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/21 11:37 AM
2

Yes statistically speaking I’d agree. Culture is always evolving though. It’s hard to find men that are fully ok with my career success...even if they do literally everything for the home, we don’t value that historically “women’s work” as much as a society to give a sense of self worth to that partner doing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 02:36 PM
3

There’s too much stuff to do in modern life in my opinion to have two full time working partners especially if they have children. My dad was super successful career wise because my mom did everything at home. I’d absolutely love to have a full or part time stay at home husband to support me that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 02:31 PM

This also makes complete sense because if you both SHARE the financial goal of wanting to support kids and not have one person have all the pressure then it’s all good to seek the right person for you in financial aspects.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 03:17 AM

I supported my ex financially. Yes it’s like I gave him an allowance but unless I 100% respected him and he 100% had his own sense of self worth, it wouldn’t have worked emotionally.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/21 03:15 AM

100% would and have. I’m a corporate career woman, have everything I always wanted financially. Happy / irrelevant to support a man who is just all around good as and to me as a person. As long as we share the same goals it’s just a different variety of teamwork to be romantic life partners.

Ok geez I didn’t say it was wrong...I’m 46 and idk what the kids think is even sexist anymore I guess but I feel like it’s sexist of me to even look for a caretaker in a male partner so I’m so confused now
