To clarify, when I say men are born with it, I mean they are born with being genetically determined to have it, which happens at puberty. I am aware that wanting something doesn't mean you are addicted to it. However, I am saying that men generally are addicted to it (as well as wanting it). Ah yes, men's struggles are being downplayed. Typical. A lot men probably do need therapy because of this. But I don't expect you to understand.

Some addictions are worse than others. It's a gradient, not a binary addicted/not addicted. And they are certainly born; men are born with the inherent desire to have sex. Hobbies and friends do not help. I know this, because I have hobbies and friends, but they do not get rid of the suffering caused by not having sex. The reason for this is because they are not the same thing.

But men cannot fix it by themselves. It's an addiction that cannot be detoxed. Abstainment only results in a constant, never-ending state of suffering from withdrawal symptoms.

Because that's the kind of men they want.

It's as if women had power from the beginning.

It's okay to not want to be in a relationship where you will be placed in 2nd place at best.

Now you get it.

Neither of the three removes her agency, nor do they prevent her from drawing a line and sticking to it. If he mocks her, she could leave. If she feels that he is just settling for her, she could leave. If he's dragging his heels with a shut up ring, she could leave. Whether she leaves or stays, it's her choice.

How is it relevant to what OP said?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
