I believe people are just people. We are complex and full of emotion that is what makes us human. And I recognize your sarcasm but the irony is, yes I do think all humans are angry. Everyone gets angry and it is a valid emotion. Now I don’t think that anger is an excuse to be violent or hurt people but there is nothing wrong with the emotion itself. Anyone who is so uncomfortable with feeling emotions or the people in their lives feeling emotions should honestly try going to therapy so they can …

How do you create abundance? I fundamentally disagree that as a society at large women are seen as good - I think they are usually seen as just people. And that woman being “emotional” is “playing the victim” I think that does happen some of the time but there is also nothing wrong with being emotional, all humans are emotional. So on these points we can just agree to disagree.

Sure if you have only ever seen negative relationships through out your life it can be hard. I would say to answer your question on how a guy can learn to respect himself is by finding real friends he can talk to about his relationship with, attending therapy, engaging in activities that make him feel good about himself. I am wondering what your solution to this problem is? I also hope that you consider that not all women are like the ones you’ve described above. In my experience these situation…

Yeah to an extent I agree with you, you cannot control how other people treat you. However you can control how you respond to it. If your partner is truly making your life miserable and especially if they are verbally or physically abusing you, you should leave the relationship. Staying because “you finally got the girl” does show a low level of self respect and confidence.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/11/25 06:51 AM

Because if you are being treated poorly in a relationship the way the op describes self respect would be ending the relationship.

So in terms of the trades there is a lot of sexism that happens in them which discourages women from entering them, I agree this is getting better but it still discourages a lot of women from obtaining these types of jobs. In regards to there being no advantage for men this is easily disproven when looking at a career such as education. Majority of teachers are women however, the majority of admin staff and above are men. There are many factors that lead to this - inherent professional bias towa…

These situations have nuance, it is not all or nothing. Women are obtaining higher education more than men now, while at the same time there is still a significant amount of workplace discrimination specifically in male dominated fields - most trades, engineering, medicine (other than nursing) etc. Furthermore, discrimination affects different women to different degrees, women of colour are less likely to obtain high paying jobs, and are at higher risk of violence, medical neglect leading to lif…

Umm if the woman makes more money the man wouldn’t lose all his money. You do realize that splitting assets in a divorce doesn’t just mean every man no matter the circumstances must give up half his pay cheque and women get everything. Splitting assets would be like splitting the sale of the house that the couple purchased together or one person buying the other out. Alimony really only takes place where there is a large financial discrepancy and where I live can only happen for a maximum of 3 y…

What does the woman do during the divorce that drive a man to suicide? Is he responsible for reaching out to resources (family, friends, mental health supports) or is it solely the woman’s fault because she divorces him? Or is it about alimony/child support? Do men not have a say in getting married? If women should not marry them in the first place because there is the chance that one day they may divorce why is that responsibility not on men as well? Did she force him to get married? Men’s ment…

That’s your decision. I personally believe that people can grow and change and just because someone did something once does not mean they will do it again. Someone who had little respect for themselves at one point in their life has the ability to gain respect for themselves and not participate in damaging behaviours anymore.

Okay fair enough. I admit it can effect our perceptions and preferences but I think it’s unfair to say it effects us all in the same way, and that the way it affects us is a negative one. For example, maybe a woman has been with a lot of men who haven’t shown her respect during sex and she matured and learned she deserved better then that and her new partner does show her respect. That woman would most likely view her partner in a very positive light because of this - potentially an even more po…

This is actually a great way to look at this issue. I do think that women who choose to be in the child’s life do need to step up and parent. I also believe there is a difference in giving a child up for adoption when they are born versus when they are 10, for example. I believe this because of the impact on the child. In terms of men, I totally understand that men want the choice to not have children and have access to the same choice that women have (in places where women have that choice). Th…

I mean if she’s making those types of posts on Reddit or any other social media then she’s not a very nice person and you deserve better then that. Yeah I’d she is choosing to have sex with you there is nothing to realistically be insecure about! No matter who the guy is if she is making that decision it’s because she wants to have sex with him. That’s exactly my point. It does not matter who or what she has done previously because she is choosing to have sex with him now.

After reading through your comments it sounds like it could be a couple of issues you are facing which are working in conjunction with one another. The type of women you are attracting/attracted to. If the common issue you are facing have to do with her wanting more access to your money or wanting more gifts etc… that could be a compatibility issue. Is she telling you you’re not as impressive? If so she sounds like a bitch and nobody should put up with that. Or are you assuming she is thinking that because she has had sex previously? If it’s the latter then that does sound like insecurity and maybe that person should work on their self esteem.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 04:30 AM

This whole rant is lacking emotional intelligence. Yes sometimes tough love is necessary, but a key part of tough love is the love. Meaning you already have a relationship with this person, you are not doing it behind their back, and you are genuinely saying something to help them not because you want to bring women down a peg, gossip or any other reason somebody may trash talk another persons appearance.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/24 02:28 AM

How do you know that self improvement will come from mean comments and not give that person more insecurities and self doubt which often do not help us with self improvement? Also what exactly do you yourself gain from being mean? How does someone improving themselves benefit you in the slightest?

/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/24 03:50 PM

In my opinion both the proposal and wedding should be joint decisions. Whoever is proposing ultimately decides how it is done but they absolutely should take into account what their partner likes/wants and what they like/want. As for the wedding both should have equal say in planning the wedding

The person in this situation could try therapy. This could help them work through the emotional investment to determine if this relationship is the relationship they want, can help them understand it is never a waste to have invested and leave if it no longer or never did work for them, and build the confidence to know that no matter what they are worth more then what they are receiving and will be okay on their own whether or not they find someone else

Not the person you are replying to but want to give my two cents. You can separate the fortunate from the unfortunate by making opportunities available to the unfortunate such as setting aside a certain number of seats for female students in male dominated industries, having more scholarships for marginalized communities and low income areas where the children would not have access to university or college otherwise, allowing for lower grade entries for students from marginalized backgrounds and…

It is the way it is to unite and protect the individuals who have agreed to get married. For example, one partner works one stays home to raise the children and does not earn an income. They get divorced, the stay at home parent now has a years long gap in their resume and is unable to find work that provides a wage to care for themselves and their children, working parent pays child support if they have less then 50% custody (it’s not about time spent but the cost associated with raising childr…

Sexually assaulted. I got the statistic from the organization that helps victims of sexual assault in my city. I work for this organization and know these statistics off the top of my head. I could look up a statistic that is more representative of all of North America if you would like.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/24 03:47 PM

This is actually not true as more then 80% of women have been sexually assaulted in their lifetime and more then 30% of men (I personally believe this number is higher but statistics are off on it because men are unfortunately less likely to come forward and most of this 30% is from childhood). It’s very common and it is very damaging to the person experiencing the trauma. Anyone can commit sexual assault and anyone can be sexually assaulted.

Oh I didn’t get that at all from OPs post. I mean he did say women will flake at some point. But I don’t know if he means flake on a date last minute or end things cause they weren’t feeling it. Both women and men do toxic shit and no one likes being called out on it, so I don’t see that as a woman problem but a people problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 07:56 PM

I’m honestly confused on what women should do to solve this issue and be held accountable? Should they date men they aren’t attracted to? I think most women admit that women get more matches on dating apps then men do, therefore acknowledging their privilege in dating. But I don’t see how not wanting to date someone you don’t like/aren’t attracted to makes women snow flakes who don’t want to be held accountable for their actions?

Okay dude, this is why arguing with you is pointless. According to you men bring value with money, women don’t. And women doing unpaid labour is not valuable because there’s no dollar amount on it. I’m done with this. Good luck in your future and please offer my condolences to your poor wife/ future wife, she’s in for a hell of a marriage if you ever get married/are married.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/24 03:12 AM

So if women’s labour is for themselves and men therefore does not count towards something she does for men, wouldn’t that be the same for men who spend the money they make on themselves and their partners? Not to mention once again a majority of women work, therefore contribute financially. If the fact that they do not make as much money as there partners excludes this fact as being something they do for their partners wouldn’t the same logic conclude that because women do more domestic duties d…

Okay let’s do some quick math and see if this is actually feasible for most families. The average household income in the US is $63,000 per year. The average private school tuition is 15k a year The average family has 2 children So 15x2 is nearly half the household income. And that doesn’t account for uniforms, books, the required electronics etc. Not to mention most people have mortgages, bills, groceries, car payments etc. So no it is not feasible for many families.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 12:08 AM

I totally get that! I think a big factor that finances plays into is what you’ve said a secure lifestyle. If you yourself can afford a certain lifestyle it makes sense that you want a partner who can contribute to that not take away from it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 10:58 PM

Where do you get your information from? I’m the US 37.9 million people live below the poverty line, that’s almost 12% of the population. And that doesn’t count the families that live just slightly above it, which if you know anything about income statistics would be around 15-20%. That’s as of 2022, and those numbers are climbing every year due to a poor economy and high cost of living. So no most families could not afford 13k a year per child for private education. My friend you are showing you…

This is based on the assumption that people will for who their own quality of life (paying more in taxes) to support government institutions. It’s very clear when election time comes that people want both more and better services while simultaneously having less taxes.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 09:50 PM

What percentage of hires are diversity hires? I would think that percentage is pretty small, considering the amount of women in male dominated industries is quite low, and it’s comical to suggest that all of that small number were not hired based on their own merit.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 09:45 PM

I think that most if not all of what you e said is silly and not based on fact. If you can provide some data to show how women haven’t earned their opportunities, or on teachers IQs, or that the “vast majority of people” believe men are more important then women, then maybe we can talk. But you don’t have those sources because they don’t exist. This is all your feelings none of it based on fact. Silly man 😋
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 05:08 PM

Do you have any sources to back up that claim? From what I know/have learned men often have more opportunities, male dominated fields are higher paying and have a huge barrier to entry for women, often being hostile environments for them. And female dominated industries still promote men more then women, it’s a phenomenon known as the glass elevator, shoots them way to the top.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 03:14 PM

Sorry women weren’t able to earn a wage. Is that better? Also since women entering the workforce their work has been undervalued, female dominated industries such as teaching, social work, nursing have always been underpaid. Women are equally important. It’s weird you think they are not. I can see there is no common ground we will come to because I believe women are equal, deserve the same opportunities and rights as men, and have the right to have preferences in dating just like men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 02:45 PM

I don’t think that that is human nature, I think it’s more a response to societal situations. Historically women weren’t able to work therefore a man’s income was an important factor. I think that it takes time for our expectations around these things to catch up where we are with society. I do think that many women probably want a partner who earns around the same as them, but I think it’s a minority of women who insist he needs to make more. Either way I don’t really understand the problem wit…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 02:33 PM

Are there any links? I would be interested to verify these studies. I also will say the OKcupid studies that were done only hold so much weight because it was only done on active members of OKcupid, that’s a relatively small sample size. Secondly I wonder if there are any current day studies, the newest date you have is 2017 which is 7 years ago makes me wonder if anything has changed.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 02:18 PM

I wonder how many successful women really won’t date men who don’t make more then them. That could be the case, it could be the other way around where men feel emasculated by their partner making more then them. It could also be that both of those situations are a minority and most people don’t care all that much as long as you have a job you are passionate about. Would be interesting to see some statistics. Either way I don’t think that this “problem” is what’s contributing to relationship issu…

Teaching consent is condescending and ineffective? I don’t know the national statistics but I do know for the province I live in (I’m Canadian) and 45% of sexual assaults happen between teenagers aged 14-17. That is mostly a lack of education on consent/seeing that behaviour at home. Men get assaulted as well; and similarly to women being assaulted, often the perpetrator states it was a miscommunication, if that is to be believed then consent is very important to teach. Did you know that 1 in 4 women will experience sexual assault in North America alone. This is much more common then “things that can happen, like dinosaurs”. Just because the women in your life haven’t confided in you about it doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. And if it hasn’t happened to them, that’s so good, but it also doesn’t make it uncommon.

Hutterite communities in Canada are sovereign citizens, as well as Mennonite’s and other communities of the sort. Quora is not a good place to seek information. So it would take to long to accurately look into why women only pay 43% of taxes, which apparently isn’t enough, so instead we will just say they “under pay” and are only paying for themselves. Lol if this is true that makes all men desperate, and a John? But what if I pay for dinner when me and my bf go out and then we go home and have sex now he’s the prostitute and I’m the John? I swore it was just a relationship based on trust, love and respect but I guess one of us is always paying for sex. Wait what if we just watch tv don’t spend any money and then have sex? Who’s the prostitute in this situation? I’m so confused lol

Abuse is quite common in the industry, there are more dangers then just death. I’m not back tracking it is up to her. I would be concerned in the same way as I would if I had a child that was a miner, farmer, firefighter, police officer or any other career that has dangers associated with it. Your lack of education on the subject does not mean I’m back pedalling. I can tell you exactly how I would handle it. It’s the most extreme version because it is not sex for purely enjoyment. Extreme does not mean bad. It simply means the most or among the most intense in comparison to other things similar. I do fully support sex work and sex workers, with that being said we can not deny the dangers of that work. If I had a daughter participating in sex work I would have concerns for her safety and health. But at the end of the day I would support and love my child no matter what their career was or who they sl…

It would be her choice. My feelings on it don’t really matter it’s not my body nor my life. With that being said you did really take it to the most extreme version. Somebody enjoying having sex and therefore having lots of it does not equate to being a porn star. Either way the facts remain every adult has the right to live their life the way they choose and sex work is still work and isn’t more shameful then other types of work.

I get the reaction but I don’t think it’s actually true. Most men aren’t perverts, some men are perverts and so are some women. Men are more commonly found to be perverts because of the power they have in society, especially historically, that allows them to act on their perversions. This is changing and we can see that when looking at media and the shift in reaction to teachers who are women engaging in sexual activity with their students. Previously this was not taken as seriously as the rever…

Prepare for the worst hope for the best. You don’t know what the furtive will bring and it is better and cheaper to decide on the details of the finances in the event of a divorce while you care and love about each other. The alternative is paying lawyers thousands more dollars to fight with each other after you’ve fallen out of love and potentially hold resentment against one another.

Yes I agree with this. It’s not a lazy men epidemic. I think this problem comes down more to societal expectation and collective views on work, chores, and child rearing that has not caught up to where we are actually at in society.

No it obviously can’t be 50/50 across the board. It will change and should often within the context of a relationship. You have a busy week at work I pick up the slack on the housework and vice versa. And many relationships are moving this way. It’s also becoming less and less true that men are the breadwinners, there are increasingly more relationships where women out-earn their partners. Statistically even in the relationships where women are the bread winners they still contribute on average …

Obviously it’s not only men to blame. Relationships break down for a lot of reasons and it’s often two sided. But we can’t ignore the division of labour either and how this affects both genders in more traditional relationships. It’s not an attack on men to say in traditional relationships generally women do more of the home care, child rearing, and meal preparation even when both parties are working, which can be a factor in the breakdown of some relationships.

They need to have an above average personality to the person their dating. People are different and like different things. An example is I really don’t enjoy talking about sports, so I am not attracted to most guys who are really really into sports. My friend thinks it’s kinda hot when a guy goes on and on about sports. Or my boyfriend is an introvert who would rather stay home and play video games then go out on the weekend. I like this about him, I like staying in and playing video games too. …

I know for me no amount of “good looks” can make up for a shit personality. Why is it a problem that positive qualities are a must have in a relationship? This is definitely a problem although one that I think is improving. The hope is to dispel toxic beliefs that men can’t face sexual assault, and or have negative feelings about sexual encounters they’ve had. There unfortunately is no justice for men or women who have been assaulted unless the victim reports the crime so reducing stigma around it encourages more men to speak about their experiences. I think the problem is men had the choice to leave if they wanted but women couldn’t. Nothing wrong with a man working and a woman staying home if that’s the relationship that both parties agree on. I don’t disagree with this. Personality is a huge factor, looks are important, money can be important (more for some less for others) but financial literacy and security is attractive in both men and women in my opinion, status maybe important for some and not others. But I feel if you add in hobbies and interests you’ve just described everything that makes a person who they are. What else are you really supposed to base attraction off of?

Strong disagree. Does he show his commitment for you in a relationship? Cool he’s committed. This type of test is immature and people with self respect will be sad of course if you end the relationship, may want to talk about why or look for some closure but generally will respect your right to leave. Don’t do this.

It’s really silly to me that men get mad on here that women want a partner they are attracted to but feel totally cool saying that they want partner they are attracted to. Oh trust me women can tell when a man is a misogynist douche. You are saying the quiet part out loud here but I guarantee if you feel these things you don’t treat women all that nicely in person

This is why you struggle on dating apps. It’s not women, it’s not the “chads” it’s you. I have never met a women who would date a man who says shit like that.

I didn’t know that if you had sex in the first 6 months that means starting with sex. If that’s the standard fine then yes a lot of relationships “start with sex”. But to take your original statement at face value some relationships start as hooking up and some relationships do not start that way.

I feel like the problem isn’t that dating apps. It’s that men who speak like you want to sleep/date women yet speak about them in such a derogatory manner. No self respecting woman would choose to be with someone who speaks like this about them. That’s why these men can’t find dates not because they are “ugly”

Do you have proof of this?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/24 07:05 PM

Oh my you are not a nice person! I imagine someone with this attitude would have trouble finding a partner regardless of their past

I explained to you what red looks like to ME. So can you describe what people now a days in your culture means to you versus the ideal utopian way people should act to you? Your inability to coherently explain anything shows you have no depth of understanding on this topic

I have not. And if I did I would say don’t say no unless you mean no because if you say no to me I will stop

Red is a bright warm colour to me, I would say it is hot often but sometimes more dull. Reminds me of a flower often or maybe fire. There I just described what the colour red looks like to me. Now describe what people today are to you

But but weird is not a term to only describe men. And they didn’t even say men in their comment. Men can be weird, women can be weird, children can be weird, hell my cats are weird. And your obsession with the mongo guy is weird lol

This is why PPB have a bad name. Because in your list of unattractive attributes is feminist. Yes how dare a woman think she is equal to a man. Awful.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
