Very simple way around this. Don’t have sex with crazy people or really anyone you aren’t in a committed relationship. Or even easier(since you apparently think most women are crazy enough to fish sperm out from a used condom), don’t finish in a woman and don’t even get close to that. Plenty of ways to finish without intercourse and it would be pretty obvious if a woman tried to scoop that off of you to get pregnant. You really overestimate how common this happens without men also making dumb de…

You can still have that, the hardest thing is the economics though. It just really isn’t feasible to do that on one income in many places now. And people are a bit more isolated now, so you’ll probably have less of a support network/colmunity trying to raise your family.

It’s so complex and you might be punishing an innocent child because of it. Why someone is a single parent could be all sorts of things, not necessarily that they just want to be a single mom on government support. Could be a widow or coming from an abusive situation or have been raped.

I just don’t get what their proposed solution is. I was just watching a debate video yesterday(genz if different political sides talking, idk) and it came up. Because apparently people are single parents because it’s no longer illegal to give birth out of wedlock or because they want to rely on government support. Like ok 🤨. So making it harder for single parents is going to solve the problem. It’s complex, the problems and solutions. And while I’m all for two parent homes, it’s definitely not ju…

It’s not women’s job to help shy men. Reality is that social skills and initiative get you ahead in life, including in dating. Sucks if you have to work harder for those things than other people, but it’s your job to work on it if you don’t like the results you are getting because you are shy or something. Introversion isn’t even the problem- that just means you need your alone time, not that you can’t make good conversation. Being good at connecting with people also doesn’t have to equal to lif…

Unfortunately social media has lots of negative effects, especially on how people now interact, socialize, date etc. These things are supposed to be a resource and and supposedly connect us to people, even those farther away or not in our circles, but instead it’s done more to replace real human interaction and make everyone lonelier yet pickier/more distrustful… and not judt in dating, though definitely also in dating.

If you are growing apart or having issues in your relationship, while hormones and health can plan a role in basically anything in life, it very likely isn’t going to be the main factor in a breakdown of a relationship, it may just magnify them during certain times. If you commit to someone long term this is also just the reality of life- you will likely go through a lot together including many life changes, health stuff, economic uncertainty etc and if you don’t have a strong relationship it’s …
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 09:23 PM

Probably would be, however if they have kids together they might have taken their kids out of daycare temporarily to cut on costs until she gets a new job for example. So not like she’s sitting at home doing nothing. Usually the situations where an unemployed spouse doesn’t seriously look for a job OR start contributing more to the housework/childcare, it’s the man who’s not pulling his weight. Rarely do I hear it go the other way around.

Amazing personality and rich. There still has to be some attraction. But I’ve definitely become attracted to less attractive men because of their personality and our connection getting to know each other. Add to that the ability to make me a SAHM and live my dream and I’d have been sold.

I don’t like that phrase at all. So many factors can impact that, we don’t know why someone might be single or have limited relationship experience. However, I’ve mostly seen it used IRL when talking about a creepy or immature guy someone met who is older.

I’ve literally never heard of that term until today. It definitely seems strange to have one because of a husband. He must already be showing signs of abuse if you feel you need one to get away from him.

If you don’t trust your spouse/long term partner not to cheat on you… from the get go, sounds like something you need to work through before entering into a relationship. Not a healthy approach. Should I look through my husband’s stuff daily at random times to make sure he’s not cheating on me? I mean I can and it’s more certain than just trusting he’s home late because work like he said, rather than because he’s cheating on me. But that lack of trust will slowly erode our relationship. It’s not…

It seems kind of weird if you guys are married. Why would you care so much to get one unless you don’t trust her? It’s much different though if you are not in a committed relationship, especially if it’s a casual thing. If it was a routine thing on a babies medical records and you take a glance that’s one thing. Requesting one when not normally done is another.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/25 09:54 PM

Of course stop wining and work on yourself. However, I was never raised to care much for hair, makeup, fashion and still struggle with that stuff and have never had issues. Maybe I’m just lucky but I have not spent a decade creating some perfect makeup or skincare routine. I’ve never been athletic or fashionable, though I finally dress a bit more “normal”. Only thing is that I’m not fat and I have a decent figure despite not having to work for it.

Not in the US no. I think especially now, seems like the right party is more anti family than anything. Even if some of their supports may have more conservative family values, the policies the political party support/don’t support does not reflect that.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 03:49 PM

It depends what you mean by conservative. Politically not necessarily, but maybe in family values yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 03:37 PM

It honestly just shows that the guy is a bit more traditional and chivalrous in general which I like and is a preferred setup in marriage for me. Like I’d prefer to do more of the childcare and housework and that he focus more on career. Some people don’t prefer that setup and want a more 50/50 breakup of everything because career is more important to them. Also it’s different early on vs later into dating. I had the worst experiences with men who expected me to split the bill on the first date.…

Dating is one thing. I always liked it when men offered to pay most of the time, however I always offered and in both my long term relationships I definitely paid at least half the time, though most of that was buying groceries to cook together since we didn’t eat out or do expensive activities as dates most of the time. I think marriage should happen before kids, and in marriage finances are usually combined so it isn’t I cover this and you cover that. It’s any money you or I earn is OURS. We a…

I also mentioned my husband who basically didn’t even talk to girls in HS even as acquaintances or friends. Seems like his friends from HS also didn’t have much trouble finding gfs as adults with no teenage dating experience. Neither did family I know who went to all boys school and didn’t date in HS. Just saying, plenty of reasons why people may struggle with dating but this isn’t it imo.

My husband and I never experienced teen love and we were fine. We also both went to single sex schools so barely interacted with the opposite sex outside of family until we were college age. We still were fine. You are not going to become a confident date just because you held a girls hand at school when you were 15.

Definitely not. Never been into “bad boys” in any way and never had any of those fantasies. Bro where are you getting this sample of “a lot of women”, because it’s not an accurate representation of the average women.

My morals and the fact that I have no desire to have sex with anyone else. The idea grosses me out.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/25 01:11 AM

I don’t think it would change anything. People still want relationships and families. Even in societies where prostitution is legalized and where casual sex isn’t as looked down upon.

I mean stats seem to show that educated people who get married after like 25, have lower divorce rates. I think it’s less about higher income probably? Though financial issues is a leading cause of divorce, so both of you being financially stable may decrease risk of that causing issues in your marriage. I cannot comment on other countries, but in the US it seems that poverty sometimes goes hand in hand with issues like single parent homes, living in communities with higher crime, which may corr…

Man and women want different things. They are different. Weird to think something is shallow just because you don’t care about it jn your future partner. Reasonable for a women to look at what a man can provide in resources when she can likely expect a hit to her career if she bears children. It’s reasonable for men to want an attractive partner because that can tie into her health and ability to carry a baby and her emotional intelligence will tie into how well she nurtures her children.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:04 AM

I think it’s reasonable unless he was making real strides to change that situation or could afford to not earn much money(inheritance or retired early). He’s 35, I’m guessing she’s close in age. She may be thinking about starting a family soon and so she needs a man who does not only pull his weight but also help support kids. So might be incompatibility.

I guess it depends on your definition of unconditional. I also don’t think you have to keep loving them. While maybe a saint would continue to love from a far, if someone abuses you, you have a right to feel anger and dislike towards them.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 05:49 PM
33

Of course, romantic love isn’t about unconditional love. Like if you are abusive or a cheater, your spouse has every right to leave you. I guess maybe she still has some love for you, but I wouldn’t say it’s totally unconditional. It was never supposed to be unconditional. IMO the closest you get to unconditional love is the love of a mother. So I agree. Maybe people are conflating commitment with unconditional?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/25 02:16 PM

Seems a bit pointless to measure things that way. You both work full time, you can’t just easily decide that one person earns 60% and the other one earns 40%. Earnings change over time too, all it takes is one promotion or being laid off and that all changes…So just do what works for your family.

Like one parent making less or nothing but having more flexibility to take a special needs kids to therapies and appointments or to be involved in school activities or to build stronger communities is worth more than $. As with amount of money earned saying anything about hours worked- it’s not necessarily true. If you want total equality than marriage or a serious relationship probably isn’t for you. I think you need to use your brain a bit- this is child logic(that’s not fair, he got/did xyz!, that’s not fair!), adults recognize that there is more nuance to life and fairness/equity
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 05:11 PM
1

So you will pay multiple 10s of thousands of dollars for surrogacy just to have as close to possible total equality? That’s absurd. Not to mention ethical issues with surrogacy and surrogate born adults speaking out against it now because of the long term pain it’s caused them. Maybe just recognize that total equality is impossible and that non financial contributions are still worth something too.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 05:06 PM

It’s impossible for everything to be equal, what’s more important is that the split is relatively equitable, but it’s doing to ebb and flow. Some weeks you do more or less based on what’s going on. You can easily say it’s not fair for women… for example, more women are in the workforce full time, yet despite spending around the same time working outside the home, they still on average do more of the childcare and housework in their marriages and have less leisure time. Bringing up earning potent…

Nothing wrong with being introverted or even being quieter in social settings, I totally get struggling more with groups, but that by itself is not going to be the main reason you can’t get a gf unless you even struggle one on one and forming connections with people in general. It can say things about attitudes towards sex for example or be a sign of psychological issues, as being super promiscuous and putting yourself in dangerous situations(meeting random men in private places or not using protection with strangers- doesn’t apply to all promiscuous people, but certainly some) is almost a form of self harm. I really don’t think there is a point unless you bring a lot of assets, like if you built up a successful business, it makes sense to protect that. And even in that case, for example, if you plan for your future wife to leave the workforce when kids come, you’d build in provisions to make sure she’s taken care of for that in the event of something. And you really only protect the assets you had before the marriage, whatever is earned in the marriage is both of yours even if one person earns more…

I mean I don’t make those comments, but I definitely think it. Can’t imagine having kids with a man who can’t even make a public commitment to you. You do you I guess, but so many stories of women in these situations who do expect a ring, it’s like you gave him everything and now you expect him to make you his wife? Not unless it benefits him. Lots of ways to let out your male energy or whatever without being violent and doing criminal stuff. Do a sport for example, wants little tumbling and fighting, ok do a contact sport or martial arts. Want to do war stuff- ok go join the military then! Not illegal, go get a combat job and you’ll be in a mostly male space and shoot guns and dream about fighting in war together. Unfortunately there is a loneliness epidemic for everyone right now, especially young people. Communities(family and non) family are dying or non existent. Men have their struggles, but they play a large role in fixing it too and aspects of male social culture are not helping. I did read Norah’s book as my husband recommended it to help me get a snapshot of her perspective of the male experience which was certainly thought provoking.

We are all wage slaves. Yea, it sucks. Economically speaking it just isn’t feasible for many families to do one income any more(or ever for some)- for many reasons not just women entering the workforce at higher rates. I’ve never had issues finding men who were at least open to that life, just practically speaking may not be possible anymore. Even when that was more common, women worked in other ways(family business/farm, as nurses/teachers, during the war when many men were away etc) or still g…

Agreed. Million ways to prove desire and show you are not asexual or not attracted to someone. Coming from a background where waiting for marriage was encouraged(even if you had a past)- so easy. Just the fact it’s a struggle to wait together shows there is desire. Or that occasionally you do go farther than you want to with kissing or cuddling because you have the hots for each other and wish you could be all over each other. I could see some of it being due to mothers, but not necessarily due to strong mothers/weak fathers, but just enabling parents who coddle their children. I feel like some of the biggest male “players” are men raised by strong mothers. The chronically single men often have loving moms, but the stereotype is mommas boy- they can have mommy do their laundry and cook for them and tell them they deserve the world, but never push them to grow up and be independent. I don’t really think about people cheating much. Maybe I’m just lucky to have been raised around good people, cheating, was not common. Only people I knew who cheated were old men, from a culture where it’s quite common to cheat and leave your wife(happened to my grandma-she was left with 6 kids to fend for herself). I don’t think politics has much to do with whether or not you cheat as a woman.

Agree to some extent. Maybe wouldn’t use the word boring, but most people are average and unremarkable. I never once thought sharing hobbies was important in a partner though. Though now I don’t wish my husband would partake in some of them with me, but that’s it. Most adults don’t even seem to have enough time to get super into a certain hobby. I don’t think romantic love can be totally unconditional or should be. Closest you can get to unconditional is probably a mother’s love. If your spouse cheats or abuses you of course have a right to get out of that relationship. You don’t even have to keep loving them.

Likelihood is that if someone wants to be in a monogamous relationship with you then they likely also value monogamous relationship sex with you over casual sex. So already agreeing in a broad way, though I’m sure there are nutty gritty details you want to iron out over time.

Yeah, she was raped. Many women who are into CNC for example, have been through some trauma. Those who are naturally into BDSM without trauma have preferences and sex drives which don’t lend themselves into waiting for serious committed relationships before engaging in sex. It’s less about count and more about, are you desireable to the opposite sex or socially. Maybe because of religious upbringing, not uncommon for men to be virgins before marriage, but didn’t mean they hadn’t dated before or at least that they had a good reputation socially. I think women find the lack of dating experience or at least lack of friends more concerning than lack of sexual experience. Plenty of couples still have sex after the honeymoon phase. I wasn’t talking about sexual violence. I didn’t even mention horniness being greater in one sex or the other. Just that women(not sexually violent ones at least) are more sexually selective in choosing who to engage in sex in. There is a reason why it’s so much easier for the average woman to get laid than for the average man.

Women are more sexually selective than men and have more to lose when engaging in sex, especially if not in a committed relationship. It’s just in our nature

I don’t consider it cheating, but that doesn’t mean it’s an ok behavior to bring into marriage. I understand it’s a struggle for many, but I would definitely not be ok with my husband not making an effort to avoid it. Foul foul habit for many reasons.

Waiting still weeds out a lot of not serious men, sure someone could put up with it for what they want, but not every man will. Seems like a bunch of red pill young men who are salty at how hard it is for them to get casual sex because oooh look at women, they just put out for Chad but won’t for them. It’s probably a good thing that the sex(women) who can get sex much easier are much more sexually selective and not as likely to be looking for casual

Yeah, I mean the more I like a man the more I want intimacy but you gotta have discipline. And I do because it’s worth it in the long run. If you can’t deal with waiting you must not really like her and she should cut her losses

Quite the opposite… they are more likely to wait if they like you more and actually want something with you that isn’t just sex. Why? Because they really like you and sex will make them like you more but they don’t want to get hurt by being pumped and dumped by someone who doesn’t actually want more to do with her that she likes
