I've known friends whose parents owned clubs. When they acted like this and made demands like this to get in, their dads (or moms, as the case may have been) shook their heads "no" too just to teach them a lesson. The look on the friend's face was almost worth not getting in. (We just went someplace else or had to wait in line, anyway). The next day, there was always a stern (and nasty), "never treat my staff that way again," lecture/shouting match. I'm glad I don't have friends like that anymor…

She wasn't required to roll her window down all the way in this case either (this is in Florida). Notice, though, that he never says she is required to-- although he keeps giving her a very good reason why he's asking her to (a reason she then proves by rolling his hand up in the window). HOWEVER, as soon as she refuses, he orders her to step out of the car, which, IIRC, is a lawful order that all drivers are required to follow in all 50 states, and a police officer can choose to request it at a…

She started gesticulating a lot, making her boobies jump around and bra rub around on them a lot. That, plus that huge motherfucking cop staring her down and all telling her she's wrong likely got her adrenaline going which can cause slight arousal. Probably more the bra rubbing thing, though.

I think you're missing my point. My point is that I don't go out and waste my time worrying about those stupid people and their games. I try to focus on real issues that matter, not the silly made-up ones. It's just that when they get waved in my face, I know how to stand my ground. I do believe the term 'Feminism' is a misnomer for what is now known as 'Third-wave Feminism'. It bears little-to-no resemblance to first- or second-wave Feminism, which fought for equality-- and won it for American …

Well yes and no. The thing is that this isn't really the case, and we both know that. There are groups that demonstrably are being oppressed, and ones that are full-of-shit, over-entitled attention-seekers. They get attention by punishing those who refuse to give it to them by making them look bad somehow. That, and stupid people want to believe it because they somehow identify with these groups, and they support the idea of being told they deserve better, whatever that may be and regardless of …

That's not really how being an egalitarian works. You can support equality for everyone without actively having to advocate every form of equality everywhere. You do what you can, when you can, just as with anything else.

Not to mention sexist, which I love to throw back at feminists when they get preachy with me. Feminism just seems so... selfish and self-centered in comparison to egalitarianism, which seems more outward-thinking and communal.

Cops only have to Mirandize you if they're going to question you right away about a crime, usually something much more serious than a traffic stop or refusal to present ID. Otherwise they don't have to do it right away, and sometimes not at all.

No, this is just what happens when people are too stupid or intellectually lazy to differentiate between to different civil movements with similar names, something that reddit is famous for. Citing a super-sexist subreddit to make your point doesn't really carry much weight. I'm surprised that you, especially, would be so sloppy as to try such a thing.

but when you say these things, it comes off sounding like you're making excuses for their (boys') bad behavior, that they can't possibly control themselves, and, therefore, must be medicated, and that even teaching them self-control wouldn't be worth it. hormones or not, boys can and should be taught self-control without the use of mind-altering substances unless a legitimate learning disability or mental illness requires them. and, no, being rambunctious isn't it. now, i don't know if that's wh…

I ask about Third-Wave Feminism's goals because I've never heard one that doesn't amount to thought-policing. I want to believe there's some good in the ideology, but I don't see it. That's because Third-Wave Feminism isn't really a thing. It's really just Egalitarianism. Women no longer need to expressly fight for equality; they got it-- in this country, at least. One such goal is gender fluidity, or "even though men and women are biologically different, everyone should consider them the same a…

I don't know enough about Neofeminism to argue its definition, so I trust what you say - it is the loud, sinister branch of feminism, and you do not subscribe to it. I'd post better links, but I've been running around all day and I'm exhausted, so I apologize. But, I don't agree with those women. And, not to be a pedant, but the views of Neofeminists are abducted enough from proper Feminism, that many people would say all they really share, at this point, is the word 'feminism' in their name. To my eyes, it appears to be a sexist movement with the primary goal of gaining the (state-mandated) upper hand in all areas of life, as a sort of restitution for perceived past slights. What you're describing is Neofeminism (sorry the wiki article I linked was pretty weak). Feminism was an egalitarian movement, and has, yes, mostly succeeded. Unfortunately, most people get the two confused, or just assume some sort of evil mutation of Feminism has occurred, whereas an actual offshoot has formed…

Not really. There's an offshoot of feminism now referred to as neofeminism, and it differs greatly from the egalitarian Feminist movement of the 60’s and earlier. It's more about pushing a female agenda, and has nothing really to do about equality for women. Edit: there seems to be some confusion, perhaps due to the unusually weak wiki article. Neofeminism does not share the same goals of Feminism. Neofeminism is focused on female empowerment regardless of anything else, and frequently at the ex…

No it isn't because I'm not making a moralistic judgement here, I'm just defining 'pussy pass' and giving a similar example to this video. Don't put words in my mouth. And you can stop it with the sanctimonious attitude. I don't see anyone in this thread claiming that hitting someone for saying things they don't like is ok, and I certainly didn't say that. So stop it with the preaching. Edit: also, just because a man hits a woman doesn't automatically make it 'misogyny'. It's just one person hit…

Pussy pass isn't a legal matter. It's a matter of 'am I going to get away with this because I'm a woman'. I know a lot of women just like her who talk to men like this (or even hit them) just because they believe men won't react. But, sometimes a man does react physically, and they have the same look on their face: total shock. PPD

I'm really on the fence about this. Shouldn't this in some way be assessed before sentencing? I don't disagree that this was wrong, but shouldn't the severity of the punishment befit the severity of the crime? And, furthermore, shouldn't each, individual violation be treated as such?

The lawsuits are dropped as a result of the show as judy acts as an arbiter for the dispute. true, but misleading. The arbitration is adjudicated, and the final judgement serves as legal precedence in further legal actions between the litigants. This is often done even when there's not a TV show involved. It's completely legal and the final rulings are legally binding. Sure, there may be some coaching, but the show is real, albeit heavily edited.
/r/PussyPassDenied29/01/15 12:47 AM
1

It's important to note that, yes, both parties get paid to appear, the claim is still adjudicated. This means that, if they go to court again, this earlier ruling will be considered. In the long run, that can be worth a lot more justice than $5k.

Only once did a "thing" come up at my school, and the assistant headmaster decided it was better to just tell all the students what they knew because they figured that by just laying it all out there, there wouldn't be a lot of room for speculation, and the subject would probably fade after a much shorter period of time.
