| 3 | Hating Being ComfortableIt's what I've been avoiding. But it is what it is brother. Having kids is a blessing in that it helps fill up some of that, decidedly less than before time wise, but still it helps. Do you have any close family or friends with children? They have a great perspective on things and often tach me valuable things about myself and life. Good luck and God bless | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/12/23 02:06 PM |
| 2 | I just can't believe I'm hereIf you can look back on situations and clearly see where you made mistakes, as small as that is, it is growth. Regardless if our partners are willing to accept their own contributions to the destruction of a relationship, I truly can not deny the things I could ve done better. In hindsight they are glaring at me. But in the midst of life and work, and bills, and mental health, trauma new and old, poor communication, resentments, misunderstandings, children, aging parents, divorce of other family… | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/12/23 10:53 PM |
| 11 | I just can't believe I'm hereThis is hard to say man. I fucked up too. Be proud, learn from our mistakes, and put that new knowledge love and energy back into yourself. It's very likely you haven't for the duration of the relationship. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/12/23 10:42 PM |

| 5 | Survival ModeHoly shit this is helpful!! I am in the same boat though. All but eliminated my own friends to be a parent. And it was like a subconscious instinctual thing I didn't give a lot of thought to at the time After kids it was like a subtle but 180 degree shift from husband and friend to only parent. It's really sad because I didn't see the relationship as husband slip away. And of course she checked out years ago and I'm just opening my eyes now. But hey at least they are open. Thanks man | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/11/23 05:07 PM |
