I agree with this response. IMO if you were confirmed to be cheating on her (even before marriage) she was never going to forget that and, again IMO, you were doomed. I wish you luck, you got this.

Assuming what you’re saying is accurate (two sided to every story) she is responsible for her negative actions. Hence why she was arrested and you were not. I would not lie and tell anyone things are fine. Lies will come back and bite you in the ass. She put her career in jeopardy so she must deal with the consequences. Hire a lawyer and move on. That is my opinion.

I would in a heartbeat if I could. Sadly I am sure I’ll never get the chance.

Sincerely apologize, keep the promise to not be that stupid and insensitive again. About all you can do. Then it’s up to her to decide if to forgive you and move on.

I cannot be friends with my ex. Just the thought of her makes me feel the intense failure.

I did invest everything in my second marriage. It was awesome until the moment she died in my arms.

Separated August 2025. Dating wonderful woman since October. Divorce final December 21st. Fireworks New Year Eve. Probably could have been sooner but I intentionally waited. We’re still dating.

I stopped wearing it within about a minute after X told me she was planning to divorce me. It is in my desk drawer, not really something I feel I need to deal with. Divorce is final, not that I think she will come back or anything, just not important.

Find a few Meetup groups that share things of interest with you. Works great for me, keeps me busy.

I am sorry you've had to go through all of that. I hope for the sake of the children it all works out in the best possible way for them.

I do agree listing myself as separated reduces the interest but I too am compelled to be forthcoming. My divorce is not final but very close. I am seeing a woman who seems more interested in the now and not the past. A month in and enjoying the experience. Do what makes you happy 😎

I have a balance sheet I’ve maintained since 2006 in a Google sheet. That way I can get to it from anywhere.

I kept the house and bought her out. I love this house. Looking forward not back. The memories will fade with time.

Forget about her. Live your life and move on. Accept the things you cannot change, have the courage to change the things you can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I started joining a number of MeetUp groups in my area. Do hikes, lunches, dinners, watch parties, etc. A great way to socialize for me, perhaps that is an avenue you could check out.

I’m not looking forward to the first year of holidays coming up. Always had someone to spend them with. Not this year…

Get your own independent appraisal. No guarantee it will be more in your favor, but at least you'll have the piece of mind to know.

In 2019 the love of my life died in my arms of a heart attack. I have since remarried and am now going thru divorce. The loss of my wife was WAY harder and more difficult to endure than my divorce. Either way I feel broken and alone and trying very hard to overcome the darkness being alone has overcome my life.

Recently identified that I am a codependent. A huge factor, believe, in my part of the end of my marriage. If I’d determined this soon I might have made changes that could have helped.
