6	Second Reading: Interpersonal Violence against Men and Boys (Strategy) Bill So the noise is very common for these kind of debates. Basically in the UK we have ministerial questions where mps ask questions to ministers. This was for Seema Malhotra who's the parliamentary under secretary for equalities. 5	I was telling my sister that I’d been engaging with lots of feminist groups and men’s rights groups, but she was saying she doesn’t think calling them men’s rights groups is the right terminology because there’s a lot of rights that men have had over the years that women haven’t Saying being a feminist is only about believing in equal rights is like saying being a communist is only about believing in workers rights. 10	Being negative and defeatist is harming the movement. We need to focus on our accomplishments and make sure people know where to go if they want to help. The reason I think mens issues gets under represented is not due to a lack of facts though. Like I could tell you white kids do worse in education then black kids in the uk but why would you care when black people have a history of oppression. Its not whether or not people like feminism but whether they view mens issues as significant enough to bother with. And people don't judge significance on a careful balance of risks and harms. 2	Burnt out on my own community, feeling lost and isolated. Get off the Internet. I'm not part of the lgbt community so my experience may be very different being an outsider. But when I was growing I had a very one dimensional view of the community reinforced by the perception and interactions I would have on YouTube. 2	I personally feel like the conversation around men's issues is stuck in a groove I've been think about this alot and I think this may be a problem with messaging on our end. 4	Question Their is a difference between feminism and women's rights. Firstly femism can refer to a form of political advocacy. Political advocacy can always have problems no matter the cause. For example feminist advocacy about domestic abuse have historically been accompanied by a fierce opposition to making these laws gender neutral. 1	So it turns out the new Bond film, partly written by a man hating feminist, is basically a nearly three hour long film of apologising for being male... It wasn't that bad. In fact I enjoyed it. There's nothing wrong with bond having a daughter. It was interesting to see bond finally try to start enjoying his life only for it to ripped away. He is a tragic hero. In fact my biggest complaint with the film they didn't give the female 007 enough time to grow throughout the film. 2	If intersectionality was to include men (without the blame game that usually goes on, currently), would you support it or not? Yes and no. I think it provides a pretty good starting point for the analysis of how different identities can intermix. If you were to look at intersectionality as a frame of analysis I would say I have always believed in it. But when most people use it they come in with a number of bad assumptions and do little wider analysis on privileged groups.
