I understand and I used to think the same thing. my argument is that gender itself is a social construct and is constantly changing. Also those changes tend to be rather slow so most people don't even realize that those things are being slowly changed and without even realizing it their identity is now being outsourced over time. Also it invariably leads to in group/out group thinking

The 2nd thing you describe is gender identity. I would take a bit to read the article i linked. I think you might start to see why having a gender identity actually takes away autonomy from yourself because even if it might be a perfect fit, social constructs are constantly shifting so without even realizing it overtime you find your identity is controlled by what your peers define it as.

I think that might be a situation of correlation versus cause, the majority of gay men I know have a much more active nightlife than their counterparts. A night out at the bar/club drinking puts you at a higher risk of a small number of serial predators out there. Add in violence against gay me not taken seriously I could see that serial preditators who target gay men could potentially be more likely to get away with it hence higher numbers of victims.

I think the part that most will not notice in your comment is the unspoken staying true to egalitarian values and not be consumed with hate towards women and the world. People forget hate is mostly a psychological mechanism to protect your self and ability to handle fucked up situations. Also more often than not it creates a feedback loop. I wish i had an answer. i'd argue that Sweden system works great for 9 out of 10 offenders because most people are not naturally shit bags.
