Just age in general too. I’m a mom but at 36 even the women who haven’t had babies usually see a change. It’s easier to gain weight and harder to lose. It’s harder and harder to find time to work out because of all the responsibilities. It happens to a lot of women (and men too) just because of time, sometimes also because of struggles and hardships in life making it harder to prioritize.

I was married to my high school boyfriend at 18. Tell them that everything a relationship gives them can be taken away. I lost my house that I made a home in the divorce. I have sole custody but he could have easily taken the kids half the time (he didn’t want to). But as a result I am now a single mom 100% of the time. The ONLY thing that can’t be taken away from you is your investment in yourself. Your education. Your potential. Your accomplishments. So my best advice is to focus on those thin…

Especially when we don’t get guaranteed health care in this country. The risks are too high ladies and society does NOT support you enough to take this risk.

It has to be consistent. Even my abusive ex husband once made me homemade chicken noodle soup from his grandma’s recipe once when I was sick. The same man later on down the road did not give a shit when I was caring for two babies with a messed up foot I wasn’t supposed to be walking on. He just went to his man cave to surf the internet while I hobbled around in pain. One gesture is nothing.

After years of not dating I realized that I did it not because I ever felt obligated because he spent money or did things for me - but more because of the general idea that it’s “the next step”. I wanted to find a life partner, and it just always seemed like the order of operations included sex.

Really why do these headlines assume causality. If research shows that smart women are less likely to be married - that’s a correlation. The cause could be that smart women are less likely to seek out marriage.

If he married down financially and in education the benefit might be a woman who is stuck because she has no money or education to leave him regardless of how he treats her. If he married down socially, he’d know she couldn’t rely on family to help her either. So he’d be able to treat her however he wanted confident that she would never divorce him. He could demand her labor for his comfort and she wouldn’t have any ability to demand anything other than food and board in return.

Exactly and that’s why straight women are usually discouraged from going to gay clubs

Once I realized the purpose of bars and clubs was to make women available for men, they lost a lot of their fun. I wish there could be an all-female club that is not necessarily gay (obviously there’s a need for lesbian clubs too, but I can see why straight women don’t need to be there).

I feel like single moms are another category of involuntarily celibate. I don’t have the resources to date (no babysitters I trust) and most men do not respect single mothers. Not to mention bringing a non-bio parent into the home is a risk for child abuse so I would have to be even more discerning. Most of society thinks we should just focus on our kids anyway. I have accepted my “femcel” status for the most part.

This man is already in on the plan to “surprise” him.

His sister did an interview and said some interesting things about how “normal” their constant fighting was. She said sure they broke up and got back together a lot but most couples do that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
