My first thought too. I would only date someone who is well travelled, cultured and naturally cool/funnyt and has fantastic stories that indicate they haven't been living under a rock their entire life. This "good" girl sounds awful.
I think if men/women focus on themselves, personally and professionally, confidence increases and that is what ultimately leads to more opportunities in life. You would be surprised how far being a fun/personable/reasonable and interesting person can take you in life. Beyond looks, beyond education and beyond money.
I do not have one single friend who is happy in her marriage, and some are downright miserable. I would not call them successful because they are partnered/married. Ooof.
