Belief is EXACTLY, by definition, the acceptance as true of a claim. Right, not the claim that it is true. Just that you personally accept it as true. No, the acceptance of a claim as true ("yes") is by definition BELIEF, not knowledge That would only be if the question was "do you believe there is a god?" The question "is there a god?" is asking you if there is a god, not if you believe there is a god.

The person could just as well well answer "yes" and still be agnostic as long as they don't claim knowledge If they answer yes to the question "is there a god?" they're claiming knowledge. of existence based on what we know so I view them all as equally likely. Is there one you currently believe exists? If so, which one? I think it's certainly possible a God or God-like being exists. "Is it possible for a god to exist?" Has nothing to do with the question being asked so it's irrelevant. The question is only asking if there is one you belive exists. Not if you believe it's possible for one to exist.

Do you belive there is something out there? "Do you believe there may be a god?" And "do you believe there is a god?" Are different questions. You're answering the first one by that one isn't being asked. Only the latter one is being asked.

Why shouldn't agnostics vote? They still believe in a creator or don't believe in a creator. They can still participate. For me, no I don't believe in a creator.
