Sadly, this is true and mirrors my experience.

Cops tried to arrest me. Banged on my door in the middle of the night, yelling at me, demanding I come outside. I slept through it. Come morning, they realized the charges were immaterial and I was exonerated. I even got to watch their bodycam footage of the incident (FOIA) to see what I missed. Glad I didn’t get locked up.

Appreciate your unsolicited commentary on my character, but “war to the core” and “destroy your wife” has serious collateral in terms of children’s lives. There’s more at stake than revenge here. Lawyering up as I’ve done is my most calculated and cautious approach. The GAL is copied on everything. I’m prepared to deliver my evidence and take action, but the most important feature of my decision making is the welfare of my children. I will be appealing for sole custody on Monday.

In my state, a parent cannot be accused of kidnapping their own children.

I’ll check with my attorney, but couldn’t this be construed as fleeing? Perhaps not, because according to the latest news from my counsel there is no warrant for my arrest currently.

I will be filing a contempt of custody against her and appealing for my sole custody of the kids due to her MH condition and criminal conduct.

Initially, my attorney thought that my pressing charges could come back and bite me in our divorce, plus mess things up for our children. That’s why I hired a criminal attorney. Not just for my defense, but to go on the offense as well.

This is one of the most helpful things I've ever read post-separation. Thank you.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
