it’s fair for you to associate that terrible association with female colleagues because it was a girl who did it to you but you should understand that 1 it isn’t very common and 2 it is equally as likely for a guy to do to another guy or a girl according to a study by the Mid-South Sociological Association on “THE INFLUENCES OF GENDER, RACE AND ETHNICITY ON WORKPLACE EXPERIENCES OF INSTITUTIONAL AND SOCIAL ISOLATION”

I want to be up to date and fully understand my position as a male citizen of the US so i try to keep up with what is happening and people’s common views. I can see many things that need to be said being said here about how many popular feminist arguments have glaring flaws and many way men are treated are overlooked. That being said, I do not understand why I see the statement in the comments of posts so much that “women have more rights than men” or “men are oppressed more than women” Is this …

im so glad someone pointed this out here. the point she is trying to make is very valid. Societally: men are pushed to be more bold and dominant - This is unfair because not all men are! It shouldn’t be expected of all men to be bold always. She is not requiring all men to be bold, she is just attracted to bold men. You don’t have to require all women to be hot to be attracted to hot women…

i am not disagreeing with anything you said about misandry BUT just because it exists doesn’t mean you should stop caring about women’s problems as you said. That is the misguided view that some feminists have “because misogyny exists im not going to care about men’s rights” you can’t fall into the same hole that led them to where they are.

i can’t agree with this. misogyny has just become so mainstream that sometimes it feels like it doesn’t happen because it is always happening. misandry happens a lot yes but not in comparison to misogyny. BUT the demographics of people doing those things is a huge difference. older men are most of the misogynists and young adult women are most of the misandrists

it really isn’t blaming the man, it is blaming the person who is doing something wrong in this case

it is actually quite a striking difference in the situation of drunk driving vs sexually assaulting a drunk person. If you (sober) have sex with someone who is not sober, it is your will alone that causes this to happen. since they are drunk they aren’t able to think effectively and you the sober person are forcing something onto them. If you (drunk) go out driving and hit someone with your car, the person cannot stop you from hitting them, you are the reason that something bad happened not them…

ok extort is entirely the wrong word but this is an issue and it should be more recognized to be one.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
